Welcome to The Program.

This RP is under construction. But, there is a reason I have posted this and it is not finished. I would like to develop this RP with those who will be involved. I already have a outline for everything, but nothing is set in stone. So here in the OOC we will decide the in's and out's of ths RP, and from there I will mash all of it together into one great RP!

As soon as I accept you begin posting your ideas and we will just brainstorm from there. Or just ask questions and I will answer them. I will give the list of what the RP might contain once more.

Just a quick question. When filling out the character sheet (if that's what it could be called), shall we just post it here, or apply as a character? I just wanted to check first because from my understanding we could post that info here rather than in the character tab, but just wanted to make sure first. Loving the idea though :)

You know you have a good rp, when a mod shows up lol. (Or I messed up severely >_<)

But, yeah just go ahead and submit it as if you would a real character.

BTW: I am always looking at the rp, for some reason. It was a really great idea and I loved the sigs for it!

Okay, I'll submit my info later when I'm more awake and coherent, plus when I'll make more sense and can re-read to make sure I've got everything xD. I'm probably going to go back to bed for a couple of hours as it's 7.30am here and I didn't get to sleep til like 3am lol.

Well you are!

I gotta say, if you are telling the truth about your age, I am really surprised! Only because I have saw your name around RPG and I just assumed you were a lot older.

Either way, good to have your thoughts and interests.

FYI: There are a total of 4 people so far who have entered sheets and even though I have yet to Criminal's, He is a vet on the sight, so I can find just about any info I might need.

But, 4 is enough for any rp, but I don't think I will stop accepting people, especially since this is still the planning phase. No matter how enthused a person was, I have seen many drop out as soon as the RP starts, so...

As of now I have a KILLER headache and the bed is yelling my name, so that is where I am heading. Otherwise I would give a overview of the plot I had in my mind. But, I welcome anyone to post their opinions and thoughts.

Its seems as though a hollow shell of a person is filled in for a shadowy company's devious plans take the place of the characters in this RP. It sounds like fun. I think that's what its like anyway. It would then do away with most of the character needed. Just appearance I suppose. That could be interesting.

This looks like a load of fun, and judging by your other RP's i suppose its going to be great. Ive been meaning to make a Doctor/Surgeon character for some time and think it would be fun to make one for this. So if you would allow me to, i would like to Role play as a 'Doctor' that works for the program, doing mental conditioning, there's an idea :). Perhaps even making implants (shockers or stunners to keep certain, people under control?) or facial reconstruction :) the possibilities are endless XD. And of course, Medical assistance.

Almost everyone was accepted, except Tyro.

Nothing against, but for some reason it says you didn't input a name? Which I think it is impossible to make a character without entering a name. So if you could provide me with a link or just the name of your character, I can look over your sheet.

I just wanted to make everyone aware that they were accepted. And In a few I will edit this post with my idea of the plot or if someone replies then I will just make a new post.

Eh, I decided to make a new post lol, so here it is:

Setting

The time is June 21, 2290 and we are located on a new planet called Earth II. The past Earth was vacated as it was no longer able to sustain life due a number of problems that were only theories in our time. The new earth is reasonably bigger than the first, but there is really no difference, besides now we have two moons. As for life on the planet it is an exact copy of earth, except for a few cosmetic differences. Meaning there are new continents and such, but the same plant life, animal life, etc.

I know that may be impossible, but this is fantasy right? Plus I'm not sure if things should go that far or not. I will either use this new earth or simply just a Future Earth. If anyone likes where I'm going with that, then we can continue to build on this new earth, but that is just a taste.

The time is June 21, 2150 and we are on an alternate Earth where technology advanced a lot faster. Meaning the technology we have now, we had in the 1500's. We now live in the future everyone imagines, flying cars, laser guns, etc. All problems that seemed like it would end Earth or its people are a thing of the past. Cancer, Aids, HIV, have all been cured and more. If you broke your legs, who cares? Pay a bill and you will have a brand new pair in a matter of days. Space exploration has just begun as of the year 2100. News about this is still tightly knit, but people are too satisfied with their lives here to worry about space.

That is just a quick run over of the new earth. I am trying to think of a movie to compare it to, but nothing comes to mind. So which one do you all like?

Plot

I won't go too deep into the plot, as to give faction names or things like that; I will say what I am thinking. But, my main focus here is to combine Government trained assassins with street hackers. I want it to be like a war between them. Hackers have become the new terrorist. So if I do a bad job conveying that, then we can work on it.

The government has started a new program simply called, The Program. It was some virtual world for games, but as the government saw better applications for this they took it over and began to mold it as they saw fit. They began training soldiers using this program. It was amazing, they could tech someone things in matter of seconds, that would usually take years to learn. So they combined this technology with a special task force of their, which was a group of highly trained assassins.

Meanwhile, hackers being who they are, trying to uncover secrets and put their nose where it has no place. A group of hackers dedicated to this stumbled upon the original program. Like I said, it was supposed to be a game, so that's what they thought it was. But, they were selfish and kept this game to themselves while they tested it, in hopes to develop it and claim it as theirs.

Long story short: The hackers soon had their own versions which seemed like game, but in actuality it made the world a virtual playground. Anything computer related could be accessed through a virtual computer panel. As if using magic they could make doors open, change street lights, or if they wanted to, they could change the position of space satellites.

It wasn't long before they indeed started using this to do noticeable deeds, like robbing banks. As the government found out how this possible they knew they had to deal with them. But they had no access to their version of the program, but they did have the world's best assassins.

So this was quickly written, so please excuse any mistakes. This is just to give you a idea of my plot. It is subject to change and of course I will explain things more. So tell me what you think, any changes you think should be made.

Side Note: Do you write like that often? Just wondering, because I always like seeing how different people write. I was thinking of writing in first person from now on, but I don't think I have mastered third person yet. lol

Well, so what does everyone think of the setting and plot so far?

When you read the intro post and then read what I wrote, does it match up?

To me one seems more gritty than the other. And that's what I wanna go far with this RP. Very Gritty and Dramatic, sorta controversial...
