The Pursuit of Bloodwing ( )

Postby muketsu_bara on Sun Apr 20, 2008 5:14 pm

(( Here's the recruitment for newcomers: recruitment-centre-for-the-pursuit-bloodwing-t5402.html It also has the plot and everything else.))

Captain Danny sat in her armchair behind the desk in her quarters. She had been reading when they docked at the spacestation. Now she was watching several of her crew step off and disappear into the crowd. "Probably going to drink themselves to death, again," she whispered softly to herself.
She stayed upon her ship, knowing that this ship and her were wanted by the government. Even though spacestations were neutral ground, she still didn't trust anyone, even her crew. The reward was too high. Plus she didn't want to lose the only home she's ever had for that past few years.
"Cap'n, we're all headed to the pub. Wanna join us?" asked one of her crew.
"No," she answered as she took a deep breath. She knew she saw a few military ships in the area and she was going to be extremely cautious. "Go have some fun. You and the rest of ya deserve it." She watched as most of the crew disappeared into the station.
Danny let out a deep breath and turned on the monitor in front of her. She began retrieving information on the ships around hers and scanned them quickly.

Suhdra paced down the hall of the spacestation, narrowly dodging a wave of men obviously rushing for a few drinks. He looked down the hall and saw a nice Privateer at the end of the docking station, he was intrigued.

Suhdra jogged down the station and pinged the entrance doors to the Privateer. He spoke into the ShipCom.

"Who owns this nice vessel?"

Amidst the snores of the severely intoxicated, Nord lay sprawled on the couch, feigning sleep. A passing thought caught his attention. It was amazing how much you could learn by buying a few drinks and keeping your ears open. The location of one of the most wanted ships in this end of the galaxy. The size of her crew, her state of repair. There was a 200,000 credit bounty on that ship. Destroyed or captured, the pay was the same. He'd like to take her, had a better chance of taking her than destroying her. His crew was larger, better trained, but she had him outgunned, heavier guns, and four more of them. He knew that damn ship like the back of his hand, had served alongside it for a two-month cruise. He had watched from a kilometer away while she was boarded and taken. He would have her.

Danny heard a voice over the ship's com and raised an eyebrow. She licked her bottom lip before activating the com, "I do, sir. What can I do fer ye?" She studied the man standing down below and slowly stood up from her chair. She started walking toward the docking bay doors, which were open and everything.

"Mind if I take a look around, Im a ship owner meself. I swear I won't try to capture you, even though your privateer has a 200,000 cred bounty on it. The ship intrigues me Mad'am."

Danny stepped out to look at the man who openly spoke about her ship. "Sir, I would you rather not speak about me or my ship like that out loud," she crossed her arms in front of her and studied the man now that she was closer.

"Aye. Im sorry, my mind was not with me."

Is she on to me?

"Please excuse my rude behavior." He said, holding out his hand. "The name is Suhdra."

Danny raised her eyebrow at the offered hand, but did not take it. She stayed where she was, being a werepanther, she could sense the power drifting off of him. "Please leave," she said and turned her back on Suhdra. She pressed a button and the docking bay doors closed behind her, shutting her in the darkness.

"I'm not one to be denied Mad'am." Suhdra whispered to himself.

If only I could turn dragon form on this damn station I could destroy that door. Damn. Its one of the few ships I actually would like to be on at the moment too, its fricken legendary. Well, maybe if I prove to be an ally she'll warm up to me. Well, most would think I would turn her in, but I wont.

Suhdra strolled back down the walkway and through the halls to his ship. He ordered his crew to take off, there was something on station that would probably cause a conflict...he didn't want to be caught in the crossfire.

Danny slowly walked back to her quarters and pulled up information on the other ships once more. Her mind on the powerful figure that she had just spoken to. 'Who was he and what did he want with my ship?' she thought to herself. She chewed on her bottom lip and then stood up once more. She pulled out a trench coat from a hidden closet and threw it over her shoulders. Grabbing a wig, she pulled it on, easily hiding the true colour of her hair.
Adopting the disguise, she slipped from her ship with ease and started walking around the station.

As Forsee's engines ignited and roared to life, Suhdra was sure he saw a shady figure standing out on the dock. He didn't falter though. One bad move and his crew could end up adrift through space with no oxygen.

"This is Forsee, com-tag For1 requesting clearance to launch." Suhdra said into the Com.

"Granted For1, see ya." Came the female station commander's voice.

Forsee launched into space, propelling itself into the heavens. It would return soon, Suhdra wasn't about to leave an opportunity like this behind. Hell, one of the most wanted single-ship pirates in the galaxy was face-to-face with him ten minutes ago.

Nord stuck to the shadows as much as possible, his black tunic and trousers blending in almost perfectly. His soft-soled shoes made next to no noise on the hard concrete as he padded up behind her, but the roar of the ship lifting off would have disguised it anyway. He scoped her from behind, studying her posture, her shape, looking for strengths, looking for weaknesses. Something about her graceful stance told him she was a Werepanther. You're unarmed, play it cool, play it soft. Right. The day he played it soft would be the day they vented him out a ship's garbage shute and into a star.

He got right behind her, reached down - she was almost a foot shorter than him - and gently placed his hand on her shoulder. "Bang, you're dead," he whispered into her ear.

Suhdra couldn't resist.

"Men, turn around, we are going back to station. I want a quick landing though, fuck clearance!"

The men were stunned at his hostile attitude. They did as they were told and as they were flying in low and hot Suhdra noticed a man standing behind the shady figure. Obviously talking something over.

Suhdra passed through his ship's airlocks and out onto the dock, walking directly at the pair of figures.

"So...mind moving out of my way?" He said rudely, still in a hurry.

"Well pardon me all to hell," Nord said, moving out of the way with an exaggerated bow. "I hadn't realized the son of God walked among us."

Nord watched the man carefully. Something about him struck him as unusual. A damn shapeshifter for sure. He was one to keep an eye on. Let him pass by for now.

Danny froze when she felt a hand land on her shoulder, but swiftly stepped out of the man's way. She recognized the man from earlier and felt a growl coming forth, but she stopped it by stepping into the shadows. 'Damn, that was close,' she thought to herself and slowly drifted back to her ship. She didn't need anymore surprises today and sure the hell didn't need to hurt someone.
Once inside the safety of her ship, she lost the disguise and locked herself in the captain's quarters. She let out a roar of frustration. Too many people knew her here, she knew she was wanted and what the bounty was on her head. She needed to get out of there, but her crew were mostly in the pubs, gorging themselves on booze and women.
After a few minutes, she cooled her jets and tried to relax within the safety of her ship's confines. She stalked the passageways a few hundred times and then adopted another disguise once more, a new disguise. Danny slipped once more into the crowd and began to walk the passageways of the station.

Nord was waiting by her ship when she came back, leaning casually against a bulkhead and meticulously filing his nails with a very sharp pocket-knife. He looked up, as if she had surprised him.

"I wasn't expecting you back so soon," he said in that easy, almost bored aristocrat's voice. "Most pirates have a tendency to drink, and because of it, dawdle. But not you, I see. I suppose you would like to know just what I'm doing here. I didn't mean to scare you off at the docking bay - or maybe I did. I am Nord Nordstrom, formerly of the SIAA frigate Achilles, most recently, of the private vessel Jackson."

Nord crossed his arms and waited for her response, watching her face for any flicker of emotion. He supposed she had probably heard of his name - he wasn't the most famous piratehunter in the galaxy, but he had never missed a pirate.

Suhdra ignored the comment and flicked the man off as he walked by. Before he was going to the pirate's vessel he would need some water though, so he stopped off at a stand and got some, quickly drinking it and moving on.

Suhdra walked toward the vessel and saw the same man from before leaning up against it. He was a damn hunter. Suhdra took his G36 off its sling and aimed it at the man's head. He decided to wait, to see what came of the man and the pirate's converstion.

He nodded to the pirate to let her know he was on her side.

Sitting quitely at a bar across the street Julias Hyde watched the events as they unfolded. He had seen most of the events from his ship, The Valkyrie, and had finally decided it might be a good idea to watch from a closer and more direct point of view. The pilots goggles he wore worked in conjunction with the ultraviolet marker on his heavily modified pistol allowed him to gain excellent aim over nearly any distance. With its armor peircing rounds powered by pure Brillium it could easily shoot through any armor they'd be wearing. While not sure about the pirate captain and the hunter he was sure he didn't care for the third man. Either someone of very high upbringing. Or a dragon, either way he was being sure to keep him in his sights.

Taking a deep breath, she studied the pirate hunter easily. "I 'ave heard of you, Mr. Nordstrom," she said lightly and walked by him. "I am not a pirate that likes her drink, but then again, nor am I a pirate of bloodthirst either. So what does the famous pirate hunter want from me?"

Suhdra twitched the trigger, if she got much closer to him the man, apparently known as Nordstrom would turn around.

Then i'd have to fire.

Suhdra hated the idea of killing someone, he just wanted the pirate to get away, he knew a lot about this Danny girl from his books. He'd hate to see such a valient pirate killed by a hunter, hell they should at least send a government warship.

He affirmed his grip on the gun, cleared his head of all thought, and steadied his aim.
