Eh...I hope this checks out.
Name: Henry Taggart Mountjoy
Gender: Male
Age: 31
Occupation: "I am a businessman. I conduct business."
Skills: Excellent diplomat, important connections and a small fortune. Likes fencing on occasion.
Appearance: Placid face with angular features framed by blonde hair. Clothes are of high quality and normally in red and black, the colours on the Mountjoy coat-of-arms. Speaks in a luxurious and condescending tone of voice.
Bio': The Mountjoys have long been a wealthy family, managing to survive peasant revolutions and crushing depressions for years. Many scholars have attributed this to the silver tongue that runs through the family: it seems that every Mountjoy is born a businessman, diplomat and (depending on whether or not your on the recieving end of their brand of diplomacy) a vile swindler. They have always managed to attend the right social gatherings, invest in the right companies and get out right before everything goes pear-shaped.
Henry was no different. Like every other member of the family, he had been taught about the economy, trading, shipping and the importance of selecting the right wine for parties. However, he'd felt no real passion for all the scheming and the controlling of a fat duke here or of an influential cortesan there. When his father died, and he was left with their fortune, he had nothing to do.
Desperate for a change, he struck out and bought a couple of prime bars on the docks. Over time, he began to learn about the criminal underworld and how it fit into the big picture. Replacing the tiresome lords and ladies of old were the leaders of smuggling rackets and assassin bands, people who were darker and more dangerous while still possessing the same patterns that allowed you to make profit off of them. It was Henry's ideal world, and he couldn't help but grow richer.
He now plays an active role in the Rogue's Guild, as a financer and negotiator. He always remains untraceable, never touching money and never touching any illicit goods. When not dealing in the underworld, he swindles the aristocrats, luring them in with promises of the profits crime can bring and allowing them to join him long enough for him to be able to collapse their miniature corporate empires and donating the profits to the fine lords and ladies in the Rogue's Guild.
