I'd like to make an RP based on the movie The Sixth Sense. In this movie, one of the two main characters is a nine year old boy named Cole. Cole sees dead people.
I won't give away any of the movie, because it really does ruin it for those who plan on watching it. You can RP as one of three types of characters.

Ghost:
You do not know you are a ghost. You think you're still alive. You see only what you want to see. You think your life is normal, even though it obviously isn't. You have something you need to do before you go, and so you have sought out a channeler. You cannot see other dead people. If you are a ghost you will still have the cause of death visible. I.e., if you were shot in the head, your head would be blown apart and bloody. Ghosts are not transparent.

Channeler:
You see dead people. You have seen them since you were a little kid (or, you can still be a little kid) and either they scare you, or you know what's going on and try to help them. How much you know about the ghosts is up to you.

Normal Human:
You somehow know a channeler. You can either know about their channeling ability or not. You can know about the paranormal or not. Your call. Or, you can be someone who knew one of the ghosts in life.

Name: Riley Clark

Age: 23

Appearance: She has caramel brown colored skin, dark brown eyes with shoulder length dreads. She is shorter then the average girl ranging in at 4’11 without shoes. She has a heart-shaped face with a long neck, short torso which make her legs look long also.

Personality: Riley was an overly supportive kind of person, constantly putting other before herself.

Bio: Riley grew up in a very small, religious town. After she began using her ‘talent’ as a Channeler, she got a very surprising response from the faithful church-goers of her community: support. They called her a prophet from God and often gave her payment for her services. Of course she was teased by the children in school but that was only because they feared her. After she grew tired of the fame that came with her skills of seeing, speaking and helping the dead, she left town and started her own business. Riley’s life was mostly devoid of any real social aspect due to the fear of her powers; because of this, she has become immensely selfless in effort to form some sort of bond with the people she meets.

Name: Lucy Hansel

Age: 6

Appearance: Lucy is a short and slim girl with a round face. She has bright blue eyes and blonde hair that is kept in two pigtails. Her skin is pale and she has purple hand prints on her neck from where she was strangled. She is still shaking from being raped even though she is now dead. She is usually seen running around and playing games with herself, talking to herself or crying for her mom.

Cause of death: Lucy was kidnapped and then raped by a horrible man. He then strangled her causing her to die. She still has the handprints on her neck from her death.

Personality: Lucy acts like a normal child except for her mood swings. She could be happy one minute and then the next she will be horrid angry. She likes being talked to and being treated as if she was alive, since she thinks that she still is. She hates all men because of what her kidnapper did to her and hates it well people tell her she is dead. Lucy is usually walking around yelling for her mother or playing tag and other games with herself.

Six year old girls do not get raped.
Maybe in the real world, but not in my world. Make the kid at least old enough to have had her period already, if you want rape.

Name: Crystal Cruz

Age: 16

Appearance: Long wavy brown hair and short, only 5'0". She had a round face with very dull green eyes and two large hand shaped bruises on her neck.

Cause of death: Strangled to death by a stranger while she was wandering around town after dark.

Personality: After death Crystal became very angry, suspecting every male she meets to be the man that gave her the still painful bruise on her neck. She is also rather upset because after returning home from going out the night she died, her mother didn't see her or hear her.

Bio: After being killed Crystal returned home, apologizing to her mother that she was out so late. By coincidence her mother looked up seemingly at her, but looked back down. Crystal thought she was being ignored and went off to her room, expecting to be scolded. this went on for a few days before Crystal gave up and left home, choosing to live in a nearby hotel. She didn't have enough money for a room, so she stays in the far side of the lounge

Can't you guys think of some normal way to die? Like, you know, disease? Car accident? And why were young women walking around dark alleys by themselves? And where are we that there are crazy stalkers running around?

I mean, this isn't bad, but all the characters here seem to be very similar.

Name:Nate Rodgers
Age: 17
Appearance: dark shaggy har that falls into brown eyes. He stands at 5'7"
Personality: Quiet but trys to be optimistic.
Bio: He dosen't know that he's a channeler, he just occasionally sees people that look wounded, disregarding it as people dressed up for an out of season halloween he dosen't say or do anything about it. He lives with a friend in a hotel on the edge of town because both his parents died. He's not used to being without his parents, since they had only died a couple months earlier.

Also, just so you know, you could have died in the Civil War if you want, ghosts are timeless. Heck, you could be a Native American from the 1300s.

Cause of death: died in a hospital from cancer

Personality: After death Crystal became quiet and sad. She felt ignored because of her appearence. she's afraid of people, feeling that they will simply look away from her afraid that they will catch whatever it is that she has.

Bio: Crystal woke up on her hospital bed as she did every day her mother and her older brother stood by the bed looking down on her. As they left her brother said 'come on', though he was only talking to the doctor, Crystal thought he was talking to her and followed him out, thinking that she was allowed to leave, that she was cured. Day after day though her brother ignored her, thinking it was because of how she looked she started tying her hair back, so the bald spots from the chemotherapy weren't so well seen, but she still got ignored, so she left to live in a hotel. Lacking the money to actually get a room she lives in the far corner of the lounge.
