The Survey

In respect to the outsider air passengers, layovers, guys. There's most likely going to be layovers ;)

And, because of Hurricane Irene, I'm not sure when I'll be able to post again. We're supposed to get hit really bad on Sunday, so hopefully my house will be in tact on Monday. We'll see, though.

The same hurricane Irene thing applies to me. It should just be wind by me, but if something goes down it'll take ages to get people to fix it around here.

We should be fine, we're far enough away from the main part of the storm. We just live far enough away from any major cities, towns, or anything important that if the power goes down, it'll be ages before someone cares enough to come fix it.

We're pretty close to the eye here (as in a good number of towns to the east), but I'm sure we'll make it through.

My area wasn't hit very hard - some other people on Long Island have to contend with flooding though! Best wishes to all.

Okay I finally got the IC post I promised a while back. Just in case it is confusing, that first butler speech is the same for everyone. I'm a bit lazy after midnight and decided rather than writing the same thing for everyone I'd uncomplicate things a little. Hopefully I haven't missed anyone out.

In this next post you can basically write from when you arrive at the airport to when you arrive at the mansion.

The butlers do not talk to you on the ferry journey so you are locked in the back of the limo with a rather awkward silence. The only time they talk is when they instruct you to get out of the limo at the arrival of the mansion and explain that you are to wait in the lobby.

When you do arrive at the mansion, you can't go anywhere. It is one big massive room with a massive marble staircase going up. The floors are white marble and the walls are white. There are numerous pictures of men, women and children - obviously the Belarus family - or that is the conclusion you come to. There are numerous vases and things decorating the lobby area.

All doors are locked that lead off, and there is a sign at the staircase asking you to please stay in the lobby.

You can do what you like in the lobby but don't go up the staircase just yet, or consult with me through the OOC or PM if your character is one to disobey the rules and would go for that. And on a side note, don't NPC the butlers. I have a plan for that. And all the characters will be meeting up at this point.

The first person to post will be the first person there and basically, when you arrive at the mansion, depending on how many people before you posted, depends on how many people will be in the main lobby with you!

Since we all have our own butlers, I assume we're alone during the ride over there.

However, when we arrive to the mansion, are we all arriving in a group at the same time, or...?

We lost power for a good 36 hours, but other than that, my area was okay.

I'm back as well! We didn't lose power, but the Comcast station that covers my area was flooded and we lost internet, phones, and television. We're back now, though, and our actual house made it through with no noticeable damage.

I just noticed something that may make a difference in how our characters interact... No one knows anything about the others besides their names and ages, which to an extent is a good thing... but I think it'd be good if we at least post the appearances of our characters, if not the relationship status and such as well. Just a suggestion :)

There's always the option of describing your character in the RP itself. However it might look a little strange with just a random paragraph describing your character, it is best suited at introductory posts. Saying that, you can drop hints about your character's appearance through out. For example;

The red-head smiled in response, her naked lips parting to show a perfect set of teeth beneath.

Something like that, I am not good with examples. >.<

That's what I wanted, Damsel. I want people to describe their characters because the characters won't know anything about other characters anyway as they're all strangers to each other as well as being strangers to everyone but me. So it helps to put in appearances etc so that people get a feel for the other characters etc.

I figured that's what you were aiming for, I guess I was just a little surprised when I thought about it. Guess I should stop over-analyzing things >.< I will do my best. As you can probably gather, I'm a bit slow when it comes to fully understanding things.
