OOC: I believe everyones here in town. After the dwarf and the elf arrive, the event'll happen.

"Alright, so I take that as a yes." Serith smiled. Soon, the proffessor had finished with explaining the prophecy and he was telling the students class was over and that they could leave. Serith eagerly jumped to his feat, looking behind him to see if Syte was still nearby. Syte was gone, and he quickly glanced to see if Lillith had disapeared into the mob of students.

She had no things. As soon as she got up and into the hall, kids came flooding into her. She shoved them aside if they wouldn't move, or if a mob of them were comming from behind her, but eventually made her way outside.

OOC: The dwarf has arrived! *trumpet fanfare* And welcome, Keikeiya!

Olaf whistled merrily as he tramped along the forest trail. He had been traveling for a couple of hours, and suspected that Dhun was close by. He adjusted his iron helm, hoping he looked presentable. Though he did know that his beard was immaculate, and took great pride in the fact.

After several more minutes, he finally came into a cleared space, and gazed upon Dhun's outer wall. Soldiers walked along the top of it, looking very professional in leather-plate armor. Olaf took a deep breath, hoped none of the guards held a grudge against dwarves, and stomped over to the main gate, where two well-armed guards stood guard.

As Olaf drew near, one of the guards noticed him, and nudged his partner. They both stared at the dwarf, big smiles threatening to break out on their faces even as they tried to look serious.

"Eh, wot's this? A little man!" exclaimed one of the guards, grinning suddenly.
The other guard nodded, "So it is! Howdy there, stranger! Wot be yer business here?"

Olaf frowned slightly. He was a tad bit offended to be called "little man," but he had been called worse in his time, so he would just grin and bear it. He forced his face to remain good-natured. "Ah, Hello there, good sirs! I am but a humble traveler, in need of shelter and a place to rest my head for awhile."

The guards chuckled, "Well, well, well! That's some fine manners ya got there!" The one on the left pointed at the large axe in Olaf's hand, "Wot's that for, eh? Your not planning on causing any trouble here, are you?" The two guards eyed Olaf suspiciously.

Olaf smiled reassuringly, "Far from it! I am an accomplished blacksmith, and hope to be able to earn a bit of gold while I'm here." he hefted the axe, and the sunlight glinted off it's surface, "As for this, It's nice to be able to defend yerself when wandering the land."

The guards nodded, "Of course!" Then one of them turned, and hollered, "Oi, Martin! Open the gates!"

After a moment, there was a creaking noise, and the gates slowly swung open. The guards nodded to Olaf, "Welcome to Dhun, master dwarf!"

Olaf nodded his thanks, and marched past them, into the village. As the gates closed behind him, he overheard the guards chuckling to themselves, "Oi, Jerod, did'ja see his beard? It right near reached his knees!"

((OOC: Jaime, are you following me? O.o STALKER! :P Just kidding.))

Tael watched the dwarf walk off, and decided to follow, later. Right now, he needed rest. The elf had been traveling two days, with little sleep, so he laid back on the hard, cold rock, and slept for awhile. He later woke after about an hour and, feeling fully rested, decided to carry on. Taking all his things and putting them back onto his person, the traveler walked on, putting his hood up. Tael made good progress, his longs legs carrying him quickly to the road he desired. It was a dirt road, but a road nonetheless. And it would take him to Dhun. He began walking again, down the road to the village. An hour later, the elf arrived at the gates, nodding to the guards. The rough men gave him a suspicious look, not being able to see under his hood. "'Ello, what's this then? Hail, stranger. Welcome to Dhun." Tael simply stared at the two guards, his face still masked by his hood. They stood there for a good two minutes, just staring at each other. "Not a man of many words, eh? Well then, in you go." One called up to a man above, telling him to open the gate. He nodded again, and silently strode into the village, searching for the tavern. He was thirsty. It was a nice village, moderately-sized and in a good location. Tael quickly found the inn, which wasn't hard. There were loud noises and men bursting forth from it's door almost constantly. He grumbled and walked inside, his hood still on. Walking to the counter, he looked at the bartender and uttered but one word. "Water." The bartender looked him over with a furrowed brow, but soon brought him a glass water. He drank a sip, then set it down and looked over the room. Many faces glanced in his direction, but they couldn't see his face under the shadow of his hood. So, he sat there, faceless and wordless, sipping his water.
Man's Laughter is just Manslaughter with a little more room to breathe.

Do not run, for I am there. To keep you safe, from evil's stare. And should I fall, do not mourn. For I still guard, against the storm.

OOC: D-d-did you just call me by my real name?! KYLE YOU IDIOT!!! Just playing, and no, Im not following you. Im not your stalker. <.< >.> :D

Finished with her count Leyna looked back up at the tavernkeeper. "This isnt what we agreed on you little-" "EH! No need for name calling lass!" He cut her off quickly before crossing his arms and looking down at her. "I dont care about that right now. Wheres the rest of it?" He laughed nervously and gave a sheepish smile.

"You must've misheard me, I said I would give you the rest..uhm..after you counted that bit right there! Dont want to stress your brain!" He came up with this weak excuse and she shook her head before he handed her another small pouch. Shaking it Leyna listened, then glared again.

"Oh! Right right, heres the last little bit, forgot about that too..." The innkeeper mumbled and toseed on the counter the rest of the money he owed. "Good..." Leyna said before noticing a strange hooded man sipping not ale, but water. Dumping the money on the counter and the small pouchs into her satchel she quickly stood up and walked over to him.

"You know? Most people order something to get drunk in an inn, not some water..." Leyna smiled at her remark, staring into the shadowed figure under the hood then spoke again. "New in town you must be...good luck getting out of here alive!" She said ironically. "The place is full of CHEAPSKATES and they will try to give you a hard time where ever you go." Leyna said the word 'cheapskate' loudly for the innkeeper to hear, and was responded to by a snort and a bit of a rude look. Turning back to the strange hooded figure Leyna quickly spoke again. "You know, if you want to start some bar fight for no reason, I suggest you take your hood off, eh?"

Tael stopped drinking his water when a woman came over. She was an elf, that much he could see. Probably one of his kind, the travelers. He listened to her words, glancing over to the barkeep every now and again, drinking his water. She stopped, finishing with a talk about a bar fight. He raised his head a bit, to look at her hands. They were smooth, she hadn't traveled. Not the way he and the others had, and will. On a voyage to the great unknown, one's hands must become tired, rough, worn. Then, one can say he or she is a traveler. Tael grumbled, and looked back to his water. She was a loud one, this elf. That could be a problem. But, he made no sound, other than the grumble, and pulled his hood farther over his head. He was getting more and more looks, some of them now turning to stares. This girl was attracting attention, something he hated.

Scoffing as the elf pulled his hood farther over his head she gave him a quck smile and a wink before speaking again. "Whats the matter? Dont like attention? Oh, what a pitty. You seem like most the elves I know to be honest. Quiet, reserved, oh so beautiful and perfect! I used to like to be that way, but...life's too short..." She said the last bit with a glazed over look in her eyes, like she was thinking long and hard before snapping back to reality. "Huh, water loving elves, it seems in this town...." Crossing her legs and sweeping her hair back with her hand again she fized some of the stray strands, amd waited for some kind of response from the man.

Tael still didn't say a word. He didn't need to. Sooner or later, and Tael sincerely hoped it was the former, she would grow tired of his silence and leave him alone. That's what everyone else did. They wouldn't hear a word from him, and leave. Either out of frustration, or boredom, Tael really couldn't tell. But it suited him just fine. He took another gulp, his water almost gone. He motioned towards the barkeep to bring him another, and the man went into the back room to fetch the elf his order. Tael then turned his head a little to the other, the girl. He just glimpsed her face, letting only the smallest part of his right eye see her, then turned back to his water. The other man came back, carrying a new glass of water and taking the old one away. The elf took a gulp and put the glass down, noting the girl was still there. 'Persistent, this one...'

Silence between the two...still. Annoying it really was, but Leyna wasnt one to just leave someone alone, especially since it was normally her doing the talking anyway. Not budging from her seat she looked up at the barkeep. "Huh, still going to give me the silent treatment huh?..." Thinking for a second she went through her pouch then looked up at the man. "Your a traveler? Yes? Then you wouldn't happen to have hunted recently? Hav any leather I could have?" She questioned him, not really expecting some kind of reasponse but still asking was all she could do, hoping perhaps he might even give a word, but then again she didn't expect a single one.

Tael sighed, surprised the girl was still there. She asked for leather, but he had none. He traveled light, carrying only what was necessary. He finished the second water and sat there, still not making a sound. He would keep his vigil, as he had for almost a hundred years. His vigil of almost total silence, from which he took not pride, but duty. For his father. His father had died in front of him, on the road, after they had been attacked by highwaymen. His father had died talking, speaking to his young son, telling him not to worry, he would be alright. Tael remembered that day vividly. It was bright, almost midday. His father was returning from a village in some far-off place, and Tael had run out to meet him. They were only about two miles from the edge of the forest when the bandits attacked them. His father told him to run, and so he did. Tael ran as fast as his legs could take him, running for what seemed hours. He stopped then, looking back. He could see small figures, barely noticeable on the horizon. He then ran back, after the attackers had gone. He arrived a little while later, to find his father bleeding very badly from a gash to the chest. Tael collapsed next to his father, crying. "Do not worry, my son." his father had said, "I will be fine. Go get the healers, they can help me." Tael did so, running as fast as he could again, all the way to the village, and all the way back with two other elves, the healers. They crouched over his father, but could not heal him. The wounds were too great. His father simply laid there, muttering, trying to comfort his young son. And so, his father died, leaving Tael alone in the world. That is why he did not talk, for his father. His mind returned to the present, to the tavern and the rest of the world around them. The girl was still there, but he didn't mind. He would wait.

Thinking again to herself she quickly answered. "I shall take your continuing silence as a no. Im Leyna, you know? The elf who apparently has been bohering you for hte past fifteen minutes or so. And I guarantee that you sir are going ot have to be the one leaving. Im too much of a nusiance to do that myself..." Giving him a smile she turned to face the innkeeper and quickly asked for a meal. Bringing two plates over she set them down in front of the traveler and herself. Leyna looked up and scowled as the innkeep quickly said, "Your going to have to pay me for both..." She gave him a raised eyebrow and look of disapproval. "I said a meal, you little weasel. Not bring me two meals so you can get me to give you more shillings. Just here, take them." She said, giving him a few coins to his delight, then she looked down at the food.

Not quite as wonderful looking, almost unappealing, but as Leyna took a bite satisfaction came from flavoury and seasoned foods. The chef was a terrible one at making food look good, but its taste was much better. Looking over to the hooded man she quickly spoke up "I would eat. I just paid good money for the little greedy monkey so eat it up before he comes back over here and claims some nonsense like he has a five minute food eating policy or some other shit like that..."

Tael looked at the food laid in front of him, studying it. He had...rabbit meat with a seasoning. It looked like most of the food he had made himself, visually unappealing but tasty at the same time. Still, he had already eaten, and pushed the food away. Tael then pushed the food towards the girl, Leyna. He finally stood, gathering his things and donning them again, and started for the door. He turned back, just to see her entire body. She wore strange clothes, different than his. Though, everyone wore strange clothes here, not like the ones the elves in his old village wore. He then turned back towards the doorway, and walked outside, sunlight suddenly flooding over him. The elf grumbled and looked for a quiet place to think, and relax. Away from these people, away from everyone.

Serith was pulled along with the flow of students and was shoved outside, nearly falling forward into the dirt-floor road. "Baah!" He exclaimed, looking back at the rude group of young teenage-students flooding from the schoolhouse. He searched for Lillith, quickly calling out, "Lillith, are you here?" He quickly drew his wooden-training sword and stuck it into the floor, leaning against it as he waited for his new aquintance.

Syte on the other hand had already headed off towards the village-center, where the Mayor of Dhun's house was. That place was a large, stone building, well made and used for official Dhun Village business. He ignored it as he had before many times. Catching himself, he groaned. He had been around humans to long. He had begun gaining some of their habits, such as ignoring important building of stature! He gave it a final glance before he was bumped into by a passerby. The human gave asked not for forgiveness for bumping him, but instead glared at him and continued walking. Humans. Bah! He turned down a street and headed for a nearby public stable. He had a meeting to get to with a certain friend that he hadn't told Serith about yet. I can't wait till they meet each other at the freedom festival!

OOC: Finally! It's almost time for da' thunder!!! use this remaining time to get to know each other, because in a wee bit your all gonna be going on an epic quest together.

Crossing her arms as the elf walked out of the bar she shook her head. Well, he's not much different from the other ones around here...fit right in.. Hopping off the chair she moved outside and smiled. It was a nice day, but as she stopped paying attention, she was quickly toppled over by a group of children, probably getting out of school. Pulling herself back up she growled. "What is going on here?! Twice today I've been knocked over onto the ground, first by a goat and now children. What in the world has this place been coming to!?" One of the older teens dared snicker, but he kept quiet with an expression that made his friends laugh when Leyna gave him an icy cold glare. Dusting herself off she began to simply wander the streets, not looking for much but something, in fact anything to do.

Lillith turned, and saw Serith. She waved and walked over, and scowled slighty. "I hate some of the bastards that go here," she sighed, but perked up a bit. "I've never really walked around Dhun. My father and I are kind of um.. Hermits? Live off the land, so I only come here for school. What's around here besides that Grocer by the gate?" She was very curious as to see what was around. She smirked a little. "I probably sound like a foreigner." (sp)

OOC: Keikeiya, your elf is über hot, by the way. ;)

Olaf walked slowly along the dusty street, gazing around. Where was the damn smithy? Could it be that Dhun didn't have one? Gods, they were really backwater if they didn't even have a smithy...

Olaf's grumpy thoughts were interrupted by the sight of an elf walking in his directing along the street. Twin longswords were slung on her back, and Olaf looked at them with keen interest. They were elven made, and Olaf couldn't help but walk over to the elf, smiling. He really was a sucker for well-made weaponry, and the fact that the elf was particularly beautiful didn't hurt, either.

With a flourish of his arm he bowed low, "Afternoon, m'lady! I was just noticing the weapons you carry, the swords. They are elven forged, yes? I have not seen many of their kind, as I don't meet many elves willing to hand me their weapon." He gestured toward the longswords on her back, "If you wouldn't mind, may I examine one of them? I am a weaponsmith, and I enjoy seeing other smith's craftsmanship."

OOC: *Gives two thumbs up* :D

"Afternoon, milady!" Came the voice and Leyna walked. Raising an eyebrow to the deep voice, Leyna spun around only to see...nothing. Confused at first the voice continued, making her lower her eyes then giggle at the sight of a dwarf.Crossing her arms she looked down, listening to the dwarf talk. "Huh, and why would you not meet many elves willing to hand you their weapon? How would I know you wont go running off to steal it once I hand it to you?" She inquired, then broke a smile. "Bah, not like it matters much. I could catch up to you in a heart beat. Dwarfs not really made for running...stubby little legs and all..." Giving the dwarf a hard time with a friendly smile she unstrapped one of the swords from her back, handing it down to him.

The dusty white and gold trimmed leather sheathed the weapon, and inside the sword was of even more brillance. The silver swords were polished perfectly, looking to portray they had never been used before, but was quite on the contrary. Down the center was elvish language in gold letters, but the words were outlined in a black color, the only part that didn' compliment the rest of the sword, but was more meant for ceremonial purposes. The hilt was curved and and resembled much like a strange leaf, also the same gold of the sheath.

She calmly crossed her arms and watched the dwarf, knowing the other sword in the sheath was about the same. The only difference was the letters, seeing as how on the other sword they were outlined in gold and written in black. Mirror swords, but slight differences.

OOC: On the topic of Olaf's shortness, in his profile I have him at four feet, but that's a mistake, it's actually about three feet. So the top of his head is about even with most people's waists. lol

Olaf's smile drooped a bit at the jest, but she had smiled as she said it, so he decided he didn't really mind. Besides, she was actually letting him look at the sword!

He took the sword and, unsheathing it, examined it with great interest. It was very well made, though not as good as dwarvish weapons, in his opinion. Still, elvish swords had a certain elegance about them, making them unique. He squinted at the elven lettering engraved on the blade, but with his very rudimentary knowledge of elven language, he couldn't decipher their meaning.

He looked up from the sword in his hands, "Exquisite workmanship. May I ask what the lettering means?" he smiled, "Or is it a secret?"
