Plot
(I don't care if the concept isn't scientifically possible or if it doesn't make sense. Just go along with it for the sake of the roleplay.)
Stem cell research is a promising, yet controversial field of study. In a small lab outside of Albany, New York, a group of scientists were conducting experiments, focusing mainly on DNA. They put animal DNA into human embryonic stem cells, to see if they could create some sort of hybrid. They created over a hundred of these, using different animals. The scientists didn't think the experiments would survive, but they did. The babies were born human, so the it was assumed the experiment didn't work. The children were put up for adoption, and the scientists abandoned the experiment.
Over ten years later, the government found the lab and searched it. The scientists had left behind some notes and research, and the government scientists, looking them over, realized that the experiments had worked. These children could transform into the animal with which DNA they had been given. The governmental needed to collect these animal children, but they had lost track of most of them.
They managed to capture a few, and now the captured are working for the goverment. Because they also have the same powers, the government is using them so as not to give away to the free children that they are being hunted. The captured are being closely tracked, and if they can successfully get all the other experiments, the government has promised they will not be tested on.

If you're going to be one of the animal children, you should definitely read this. Animal children can transform fully into their animals, as well as partially. That doesn't however, mean, just because you're a bird you can fly without fully being the bird. You have to take size into consideration-- for example, a parrot's wings would not be able to lift a human. The experiments would have similar characteristics to their animals in human form. That means similar eye colour, hair/fur/feathers, features, etc. They don't have to have to have all of those features the same as their animal. The experiments don't have any other powers. The animal may effect them a bit. For example, my character has good vision because her animal is a falcon.

Basically, you will roleplay as the animal children, either free or captured, the hunted or the hunters. You can also be a normal human that will help/hinder them, if you'd like. Each character should have unique animal, unique meaning-- not the same as anyone else. The animals have to be real, and not currently extinct, so no raptors, unicorns, dodo birds or mudkips, thank you very much. If you want to be a human, just remove the animal part of the skeleton below

Appearance:
Veronica stands at about 5'4. She is skinny, and has long legs and arms, making her look rather lanky. She is stronger than she appears though, and can be a fast runner. She has fine short hair that reaches past her chin, and is styled with bangs in a dusty brown colour. Her eyes are a golden-brown colour, and because she has falcon DNA, she also has extremely good vision. Veronica's clothing style is casual--jeans and graphic t-shirts for the most part. She doesn't like to wear skirts or dresses, but will wear them if she needs to.
Animal:
Brown Falcon
Personality: Veronica doesn't talk very much, but is by no means shy. She just doesn't talk unless she feels it's necessary. She's observant, noticing things most people don't, and is good at reading people. She can tell when she is being lied to, and can get a bit paranoid at times. Veronica is blunt and honest, and can seem insensitive at times. She's not very good with people and teams, and prefers to be independent. She will do the occasional favor or good deed for someone else, but when she is in a dangerous situation, Veronica's actions are more along the lines of 'every man for himself' and 'save yourself'.
Bio:Veronica was in two different foster homes, when he was young before being adopted. She was adopted by an old couple when they found out they were unable to have children. She loves them like real parents, and didn't know that she was adopted until age fourteen. At first she was upset, but she grew used to the fact, and still considers herself their child.
