Startled that Shuylar had found him trying to sneak into her backyard, "Umm.. about four minutes and 32 seconds and counting. ", he said checking his watch. Being a normal human, he couldn't make out any of their whisperings let alone realise that the two of them were there to begin with. uick to notice Naoki standing a tad bit too close to Schuylar, "Wh-What are YOU doing here?! Keeping an eye on Shuylars backyard from Burglars was my idea! And...", he exclaimed before finally noticing the over stuffed suitcases. "Schuylar... are you going somewhere? What are those suitcases for? Wait are you leaving because I read your three sizes?! I-I didn't mean to read it!! It just so happens my eyes ran down the paper and caught sight of it! I would never ever ever be so low as to look through your health documents or history just to get to know you a lot better. Honest!".

I look at him dumbfounded. He still doesn't know....thank god. "so you didn't hear a word I said...?" I drop down on my butt with mixed emotions. I wanted him to know but was scared for him to know especially if he didn't want to know cuz then they'd kill him an I couldn't help him if he didn't want to know. I sat there lost as to what to do anymore. Everything was so confusing.......

Seeing Schuylar in such a state it was a no brainer he became worried, "No... Was I supposed to hear something?", he said now making his way beside Schuylar. Squatting down with his head tilted slightly to the side, "You know.. if something is on your mind its best to say it out loud... Is it the school work that is bothering you? Cause if it is I can help out.. I may not be any good at anything other than science but I'll still help you out...", his voice close to a whisper. "Or did you meet up with those pale face goths? Don't let their emo-ing get to you or did you meet up with some bullies? Cause if you do I can easily skin for you a number of rats and scare them away with it...", he continued.

I look down. " No that's not it...well pale goths is close" I said as I looked down at my own pale skin trying to think of how to explain. " you think I'm a goddess which I'm not.....I'm nothing more than a monster....and I hate lying to you so I can't stay here..." I pull my knees to my chest and wrap my arms around them. "Youd hate me if you knew what I am..." I said in a small whisper.

He knelt down and whispered in her ear. "If you tell him, I'll tell him about myself. I have a feeling that if you stay, one human alone might be able to help us."

Cupping both her cheeks with his hand, his eyes scanned across her entire facial feature slowly as if afraid that this would be the last time that he could gaze upon her face. "If you ask me... I don't sense or see anything monstrous about you. All I see is the disturbed face of one of the most beautiful student to ever grace this dull school who thinks to lowly of her new found friend. And even if you think you are one... Then I have to say that all of us harbor monsters within ourselves. We just have to control and tame it, no?" , he smiled his hands returned back to his sides.

I thought about what noki said. We could protect him if we had too. Plus there are people like us who are breaking the rules if we need help I'm sure they would.
When rictor placed his hands my face cupping my cheeks my whole body tensed but slowly loosened as he spoke. I decided to tell him. If he ran well I'll deal with it. I opened my mouth slightly in a small smile. My fangs glistened in the dim light from the sun. I close my mouth slowly. "You see? I'm a vampire. I drink blood. I take peoples life source. I can kill any human in 2 minuntes flat. I could kill you......" I sat back waiting for him to run or his face to turn into a look of disgustion.

At first he just squat there stunned, "... Amazing.", Rictors face suddenly beaming with excitement. Rictor was never a believer of mythological creatures and even now in theface of one he just couldn't believe it. But... Schuylar wouldn't lie to him would she? After all there was nothing to gain from lieing to him and most important of all, she was his goddess. And that was all it took for him to accept herwords no matter how preposterous his mind is telling him. Afterall, the teeth could be false or be carved into such a shape. Gently pushing her lips up with his thumb to expose her fangs once more, "This is... This is Amazing! Look at those pearl whites. Hey Naoki can you see this?! How cool is that!", he exclaimed before pulling his thumbs away. "Yo-u.. I-.. he-.." he stuttered too excited to even speak. Taking a dep breath. "Bite me.", he extended his wrist, "Come on.. Bite me. I have to see it with my own eyes.".

He was amazed.....I wanted to run and jump and squeal with excitement. I couldn't believe it. He acctually wasn't afraid.I was so excited so happy until.....he told me to bite him.... I didn't want to well that's not all true cause I did really want his blood. I looked down at his out stretched wrist. I bet his blood tasted like no other. I hesitated then lightly touch one his veins with my finger. His blood was pumping fast. I bring my face down to his wrist. "Itll ony sting for a min.." I say right before I sink my fangs into his wrist.
His blood was amazing....I knew I shouldn't drink too much but it was so good. That's when it happened. My mind felt open to him and I could see his mind too. I got scared and quickly pulled my mind back hidingvit behind a wall.

"She's a vampire. I'm... a neko." He pointed at his ears. "These are real," he said, twitching his ears.

Her bite felt like a stake sized needle prick on a finger and if not for him bitting his lower lip, he would have screamd out some vulgarities. But true to her words, the pain soon subsided as blood flowed freely down her throat. "Being drained...", the soft words escaped his lips as he felt his every being become weaker by the second. When Schuylar had finally retracted her fangs from his veins, he staggered for a while before fallinng down on his butt. "When you bit me... I saw something in my mind... But it was too fuzzy so I can't make out any of it..." he finally spoke after taking a quick breather. "I felt, or at least I think I felt a... some kind of feeling like wanting to be rocognized or not be alone... I'm not too sure.." he continued. I was right.. she is telling the truth.. But from what I hear vampires only move about in night time. So how could she be up then? And Naoki's a neko?!?! I have always thought those were nothing but accessories to attract the female student population, he thought before looking at Naoki. Quick to conjure an evil thought, he quickly yanked Naoki's tail. "Oops! I'm sorry... I thought other than the ears your tail was a fake. haha.", his made an innocent smile, though in truth he did it with all intents and purposes with malicious intent. "My bad."

"Ack!" He flinched when he pulled. "Yeah, that's real too! You have to keep this truth secret. Otherwise, well... You tell him, Schuylar."

"the weak feeling will past...it's because you lost so much blood...I probably took alittle more than normal.....sorry...." I was right. His blood tasted like no other. It was absolutely delicious.. I was still worried about the tiong that happened with our minds. I was very glad both of us were unwilling to open up. I didn't know what would happen if we did.
"noki is right. You cant tell anyway you know about us. There are these people called Night people who live in night world. We are night people." I say pointing at noki and myself " night world is a hidden society living in the the human world. We only have two laws:
1) never tell a human about night world
2) never fall in love with a human
Penalty for both is death to you and the human..."

There are more of her kind? Here?... Then this means its one great step for science. If I can get my hands on one of them, imagine the things I could discover! The secrets to long life! The ability to have night vision with your very own pairs of eyes!, him being a scientist or a scientist to be, his mind flared up at such possibilities. Of cause he wasn't going to use his new found friend and rival, well perhaps the rival, for experimentation. But if what they said was true, then this could very much be the one of the greatest leap for mankind. As for the so called, night people, he could already guess that he would be expecting 'visitors' from this secret society and should they pose a threat to his friends... well let's just say he have ways of dealing with such 'rats'.

But then when she spoke of the rules and after taking a look at the bags, "Then... is that the reason why you wanted to leave?", he finally spoke, "I mean.. if your reason was because of rule number one then just keeping this a secret is alright right?". Rather than that, he was more worried about the second rule. He knew he was in love or at the very least crushing over Schuylar, but if such feeling were only going to cause her troubles then the only sensible thing was to bury that feeling deep within the corners of his heart.

I look at my bags. "Yes that's why I was leaving.....I didn't want you hurt.....you as a human stand no chance at beating even one vampire or one of any of the night people...noki could even kill you if he was to fully shapshift into his full cat form....if you were to die I'd......I'd never forgive myself......" I look at him with a sad face. "night world is cruel........I don't want you hurt.... So I'll have to watch you from now on." I smile "so you wanna learn more about vampires?"

He felt a tinge in his pride when Schuylar said he was way weaker than Naoki should he go all out against him. And the fact that Schuylar believed him to be unable to protect himself and apologizing for it didn't make it any better. "Schuylar... You just need to worry about yourself.", he was happy with the fact that he now could spend with Schuylar even more with her keeping an eye on him. But, that would only help his love for her grow even more. Trying to avoid that at all cost, the best thing he could think of, is to avoid her most of the time no matter how painful it may be. The plastic smile still stuck to his face, "You don't have to worry about me because one day, I'll be the greatest unorthodox scientist that this world has ever seen! So, I can't die just yet. Not at least until I have unveiled the secrets of mythological creatures that until now I have believed to be merely objects of fantasies.", he tried to assure her, that such plans of constantly being around him was needed. Cause such acts would more or less convince those... Night world creatures that something was definitely up between them.

When she asked if he wanted to know more about vampires, his inner self shook his head in disagreement with the pure intentions of getting to know more about Schuylar better than her race. His outer self however nodded his head, "Sure. However, should it comes to anatomy, I hope you won't ruin the surprise and tell me why or how you could do such things cause I intend to find out about it by myself.", he said, "Instaed, perhaps you could tell me how I could identify a vampire or other Night creatures. At least then I would know when to be careful when around you and such."

I could feel his smile was fake..he was hiding something..but what? I could read his mind if I wanted to but doing that to him felt wrong...I'll talk to him inside. "umm noki could you check around the perimeter and make sure no one is around?" noki leaves as I rush inside towing rictor. "ok what's wrong I can tell something is wrong. Don't make me read your mind." I sounded serious but wasn't. I didn't want to read his mind unless he wanted me to.

"Okay." He left them and started watching around, from a tree. His keen cat senses didn't notice anyone else around.

For a moment he was glad that Naoki was gone and even more so when Schuylar took him by the hands and went into the house. That was until Schuylar began pressing him for what was going on within his head. His plastic smile still on, "Oh you can?", he took a quick mental note to be more weary of his facial expressions next time whenever Schuylar is around, "Its nothing really. I think I might have forgotten to turn the bunsen burner for my experiment back at home is all.". He lied, trying his best not to worry Schuylar. He did have mutiple experiments going on back at his home, but being very systematic, he would never have forgotten such a minor thing that may endanger the well being of his experimentations. But if the Night creatures were that strong to worry Schuylar, he would never under any circumstances tell her that he loved her. Perhaps even more than his love for science.

I plopped down on the sofa. "you're not going to tell me.." I sigh as I try to think of something to make him feel better of to get whatever it was off his mind. "do you want to know how to kill me?" I say before thinking about what I was really saying. "wait I mean how to kill vampires..." I move to one end of the sofa and pull a small wooden stake out of the end table drawer. I made lots of these in different sizes just for my use. I had a sword in my suitcase the one in my hand was more like a dagger. It was all wood except the handle which had a rubber grip.
