I woke up to the annoying ring of my alarm clock. It was 7:00 already? I got dressed in my usual first day of school clothes; black skirt, dark purple v neck, combat boots,and last but not least my fav pair of black fish net gloves. I liked wearing the same old thing everytime I start a new school. It's like a good luck charm. I position my emerald necklace exactly that way I want it and rush out the door.
I step in the principles office acting shy and timid. 'good she's human' I thought to myself. "Please make yourself comfortable, Naomi." she pauses as I sit " umm i'd rather be called Schuylar if it's no trouble." I try being as poliet as possible hoping to get on her good side. "yes yes that's fine..." everything else she was saying disappeared as I focused on other things. There are alot of people in this school. All of them human I believe. All perfect snacks.
When I left the principles office I headed to my first junior class chemistry. The blood aroma in the hallway was starting to make me feel giddy. I giggled as I enter the classroom. I let my blonde hair fall over one eye lightly as I walked up to the teacher. 'here we go' I said to myself as I handed the teacher my papers.

Noki was in his chemistry class, waiting for the bell to ring to officially start the school day. He was fiddling with a test tube when he noticed a girl walk in. She gave the teacher papers and look for a seat. His ears were up, alert, and his tail swished side to side.

When the teacher hands back my papers I find an empty seat next to a boy with black hair. I studied him out the corner of my eye. 'so he's a cat' I thought to myself. 'but why doesn't he hide it humans can't know about us..they'd kill us all..' really confused I straighten my papers then grab a pen and pencil from my purple and black checkered bag.

He watched the girl sit by him. 'I hope she thinks my ears and tail are fake'. "Um, hi. I'm, uh, cosplaying.." It wasn't his favorite little lie, as others thought him weird by that.

I look up at the strange girl who just entered. I could since right away that she was a vampire. 'so I was wrong there are a lot of us here' I thought to myself. " I am terribly sorry I will sit over here." I move one seat over grabbing my stuff.

I glide into the classroom, hand the teacher a note and head for the back. looking everyone in the eye for brief moment, not saying a word.

"Hm.." He looked away from her, back to the test tube. He put it away. 'How much longer you stupid bell?'

'wow another vampire' I thought "hi umm demised..?.. My name is schuylar! Nice to meet a sister." I look at the guy who just entered "who is he?" I say not really talking to anybody.

i smile crookedly and take her hand suddenly. i bend my head and kiss it. my name is Malachi. i say in an low, airy voice
