“…Two new people. God, did we land in the ‘People to Bother Me’ forest? Ugh.”
Shifting her gaze somewhat, Aithne stared at a very cranky lady who was obviously talking about the two of them. It didn’t matter though, because they weren’t going to be on the ship forever and it was the lady’s fault that the ship crashed in the forest. Well, it probably wasn’t her fault, but the ship crashing definitely messed up her plans. Hissing in pain, Blade watched the lady and another individual following after her. The two headed into the forest, and the small child didn’t pay them anymore attention. Her male guardian had meanwhile retrieved his boomerang, and seemed to be content about it, which was slightly odd. Still, the two were still on the ground with everyone else save for the bandits, the two that just left and anyone else in the forest on the ship. That just wasn’t acceptable and apparently he felt the same.
Hnn… How am I going to get up there? I can’t leap up that high and I doubt I’m strong enough to climb the rope with just one arm.
Wrinkling up her nose, Aithne tried to think of an option, but nothing was coming to her mind. Sniffing the medicine again, she finally drank some of it, a scowl crossing her face. The stuff was disgusting to say the least and if she had to drink it more than once, shit was going to fly. Shoving the container into her pocket, she paced nearby the ship. She was starting to get antsy and if something didn’t happen soon, she was going to go crazy. Flicking her tongue against her teeth, Blade stared up at the sky, listening to the sounds all around her. Up on the ship people were screaming at each other and she honestly wasn’t so sure she wanted to be around such angry people. However, it was better than being captured by bandits and being sold to some slave trader.
”Are you calling me old? Because it looks like that lady there has been around the world a few times."
Blinking at Rakemund, Aithne giggled before stiffling it due to her pain. Of course, she couldn’t stifle it long and before long, she was snickering. The relief that came with releasing some anxiety that had built up did wonders and it wasn’t long before she was quiet again. The only thing that was different was the enormous grin upon her face. Watching Rakemund tugging on the rope, she wondered if he was going to leave her. Paranoia seeped into her very depths and she started to scoot towards him, but paused after the third step.
“Wa----“
Aithne stopped mid-word as he switched from his right arm to his left. It appeared he was having a bit of problems deciding how to climb up the rope. Either that or it was mocking him, which might have been the case. Giggling again, unable to help it, she pictured the rope swishing from side to side on purpose and making faces at him. Biting on her bottom lip when the pain became too much, Blade peered at him as he knelt down to the ground, glancing at her. It took her a couple of minutes to discover why he was extending his right arm towards her, but the light bulb clicked on, which resulted in an ‘oooh’ expression. Well, that and he mentioned that they were going up.
“Hmm, okay!”
Walking over to him, Aithne slid into his arm. She then wrapped her uninjured appendage around his neck so that she’s able to hold on closely and to keep from falling. Closing her eyes tightly, the five year old pressed her face against his shoulder, trying to block out what was about to happen. It wasn’t that she was afraid of heights, but something made her uncomfortable when it came to being lifted into the ar out of her control.
“…don’t drop me…”
