One of the assistant engineers, a Gaian, ran up to Zach in an urgent manner as Zach started to attempt to land the massive air ship.
“C-Captain!” He said, shaking due to the fact that he knew Zach was probably FURIOUS right now. And he was. His facial expression made that very clear, and his voice still had that murderous intent to it.
“What?!” Zach spat, noticing how things were descending FAR faster than they should be. He already had a feeling he knew what he was about to be told, so he braced his already booming anger for it.
“T-The Engine has shut down, sir! And at the moment, we can’t repair it!”
“No shit?!” Zach shouted at the Engineer, as they began to nose dive. They were lucky Zach knew how the hell to fly an Air Ship. It was far, far different than that of a plane. Those? After his time. They were a fairly new technology, really. He was afraid to touch them. He had grown up around these behemoths all of his life, though. He knew them from atom.
And his Isabella? He knew every single piece of wood, splinter, metal, scratch, and dent in the thing. He knew how to fly this ship almost as good as he could make love to his wife.
He picked up the intercom again, with a growl.
“This is your Captain speaking,” He said, the intercom suddenly becoming more useful and clear. “We are making an EMERGENCY landing, I repeat, EMERGENCY LANDING.” Zach said, pulling up a level which caused the ship to even out slightly. He spun the wheel, knowing that the dock which was clearing out was now not even a choice. Where the hell could he land? He was searching, searching - then he saw it. Their savior, at this point in time. And if Zach hit it right...
It was an oddly large clearing in the forest. It was big enough so that his “sails” wouldn’t he torn all to hell, but small enough to cause enough damage that they’d be there for at least two days. And the crew would be paying for this, even though it wasn’t directly their faults.
“Everyone, brace yourselves!” Zach said as he tried to slow down the descent by a few more levers. He was succeeding. But it was only a matter of time...
Angelo looked around, coughing and saw the Engineer run out of the room. He shook his head, and then looked over at Kal. What the hell did that mean? He saw the Engineer who was previously working on (and presumably BROKE) the engine before pass out due to some drug that he was put on by one of the medics.
Ethan. Shit.
Angelo felt his way further into it, and looked down at Angelo. Then he heard the announcement. This told him, shield. He pulled everyone in the Engineer room close to him suddenly, and squeezed his hand. The blood stone in his bronze arm began to glow, and a purple shield surrounded him. This had taken a [inconsiderable amount of time, no doubt enough time to allow other crew members to protect themselves the best way that they could[/I].
Angelo closed his eyes, and looked over at Kal.
“You oka-“
He was cut off with a loud noise, almost like an explosion as the ship collided with the thick grass. It wasn’t too badly damaged, really. Not considering what the hell Zach had to do to LAND the damn thing. And he was right about the amount of damage - it’d take a few days to completely repair... but christ. They’d be spending quite a bit of their money replacing the spare parts they’d be using.
Zach grunted softly, hanging over the wheel as he pulled him self up. He was pleased with his make-shift parking job, as they was surrounded by all sorts of trees. He fixed his bandana, brushed off his coat, and walked to the Captain’s Quarters as if nothing had happened. He was too angry to let any minor injury get to him. Whoever was in there better be ready for one pissed off individual.
Angelo coughed after he recovered the crash, his shield being pretty much used for the next couple of days while it recharged. He rubbed his eyes, and looked at everyone.
“... Everyone else alive?” He asked, shaking his head as he tried to get rid of a booming headache.
