"YOU WILL STAND YOUR GROUND MEN!" Jihx Knight yelled. Jihx was a Star Warrior (like Meta-Knight). She wore Pink armor with gold trim and highlights. Her mask was white. She was currently leading Dreamlandic forces into battle against the Shy Guys, but was losing rather badly. They were fighting over the Cocoa Caves in Dreamland.

She jumped in, and took down two Shy Guys before taking a blow from a Shy Guy Zap! Tank. She had to wonder how these mediocre Shy Guy weapons and attacks worked so well against her and other Dreamland Soldiers. She took down a few more Shy Guys as the Waddle Dees and Kirbies took down some of the rest.

"CHARGE! GIVE E'M YOUR ALL! GOGOGO!"

General Guy was rallying his troops as he was fighting the Dreamland forces. They were winning, but the tide was changing. The extra Star Warriors the enemy got were overwhelming them. He contemplated a risky move. He then activated his radio walkie talkie (or a Modified Blue Toy Block equipped with Special Sound Fruits retrieved from Dinosaur Island).

"Roger, is this thing on? Good, this is General Guy requesting backup against the Dreamland forces. I repeat, requesting backup."

"MEN, PULL BACK AND HOLD AS WE AWAIT REINFORCEMENTS!"

Several Tanks pulled up behind the Shy Guy fleet as Jihx watched in horror. They were Shy Guy Tanks, and were to be feared. But then several Pokemon foot soldiers using modified Human technology acquired from sympathizers followed. Some of Bowser's forces were here and there as well.

The fierce fighting continued, unending. Eventually, she had to accept it.

She was outnumbered, and continued fighting was useless. She decided to retreat at the last minute. As she retreated, several more troops fell to the might of the Shy Guys, Pokemon, and Koopa Klan.

"FALL BACK MEN! The enemy has won this day..."

"WE DID IT MEN! WE HAVE SECURED THE COCOA CAVES! CHOCOLATE FOR EVERYONE TONIGHT!"

After a round of applause on all sides, they secured the remainder of the place, then camped. Pokemon and Shy Guy and Koopas talked and celebrated. Chocolate was the Main Course. Honors were given, and Leaders informed.

In Dreamland, Jihx returned to King Dedede. She told him what had happened.

"And then they overwhelmed us. We were powerless. We don't have communications technology as advanced as theirs... No way to get backup."

News of the defeat spread through Cappy Town quickly, and there was much sorrow.

In Toad Town, posters went up everywhere, recruiting for the Mushroom Army. Otherwise, it was a normal day. Do some shopping, eating, and other stuff.

Dinosaur Island was undisturbed at the moment, for fighting has not reached it yet. They celebrated anyways. Utopia celebrated the victory. Shy Guy Paradise, a small island north of Yoshi's Island, was also awash with cheers. Bowser's Badlands was roaring with praise.

The other Powers unmentioned were just like the Mushroom Kingdom, wanted posters filled the streets on an otherwise normal day.

Not far from the Cocoa Caves, if you looked to the sky, you could see a meteor plummeting to the Earth. Except, it wasn't a meteor. It was the escape pod John Rothenberg had taken to return to Earth. After hearing about this artifact that could grant someone infinite power, John knew he had to use it to end the war.

The pod scraped loudly against the ground, leaving sparks and a trail of dead grass in it's wake. From inside, John heard the firing of tanks and the roar of battle. That was his first target. As the pod doors opened, the armored soldier stepped out and raised his plasma torch and test fired it, and three two-foot long jets of pure energy shot out at forty-five degree angles from each other.

Kimi finished bandaging a soldiers arm, too tired to heal any more. They had lost badly, she herself sustaining several small injuries. The Princess had not been happy at the loss, although she was concerned about the few soldiers who got there, and the fewer that got injured. She patted the soldiers shoulder, making him wince as he got up from the bench he was sitting on. She waved away another medic, one from Dreamland. She made her way through the soldiers to her tent, wriggling into her sleeping bag and falling into a light sleep almost straight away. Her guards would inform her if anything happened.

High in the sky above Coca Caves, a large green dragon floated in the sky. Not visible from the ground, a trainer, dwarfed by the pokémon, clung on tightly to the horns on Rayquaza's head, wrapping her legs around it's neck. They had been watching the entire time, both without much reaction. Flannery twitched as the humans lost, Rayla crying lowly to try and comfort it's trainer. Flannery stretched down, rubbing her fingertips along Rayla's jaw.
"Down," Flannery murmured, Rayquaza obeying, flying down lower to have a better view of the victors.

John stepped down from the open shell of his pod and looked around. The area was grassy with few trees. A quick run would get him to the fighting, and he could stop it or at least attack the victors. His armor gleamed in the sun, and Jon started to sweat in it. "I had better reach the caves or I'll overheat in this thing." His voice was easy to predict, rusty and low. The suit muffled the sounds of his voice, but if he spoke loudly enough, he could overcome that. He started the run to the caves, torch swinging in his hand.

"Quaaza!"
"What the hell?! No Ray-"
Rayquaza had spotted something land on the ground, shoot something, and now something shiny, glinting in the sun was moving quickly below. It had decided to be safer than sorry, opening it's jaws and releasing a long jet of fire towards the shiny metal thing.
"Rayla, stop! We're supposed to be stopping this, not making this worse! Stop!"
Rayquaza halted, looking up at it's trainer, a glint in it's eye.
"You wouldn't dare." Flannery growled, tightening her grip on Rayla's horns, and tightening her legs around it's neck. Then the dragon went into a nose dive towards the shiny-metal thing, ignoring Flannery's screams of both terror and excitement, pulling up just before it hit the ground, it's tail slamming into the ground, leaving a large crater where it hit.
It landed in front of the shiny-metal-person thing, roaring again.
"Man, I hate it when you that," Flannery moaned softly, the sound barely reaching her partner's ears, "If I'd had lunch I'd have lost it."
She glanced down, hauling her upper body on top of it's head. "You are so over dramatic sometimes Rayla."
"Sorry! You okay?" Flannery yelled down, slightly cautious.
Rayla growled.

Maria glared as the Shy Guys celebrated, watching the action from a tree. "Maybe I should, oh I don't know.. give them a reminder of who they're fighting?" She muttered to herself, a small smile on her lips. " She jumped down from her branch at the top of the tree, before looking back at her allies. She looked again at the celebrating Shy Guys. She turned around, and flew back to her side.
As she landed, she felt guilt. She had been occupied during some of the fighting, and she knew she could have helped. "Maybe I should go, and have a look around." she muttered. "No, I must do what I can." She grabbed some bandages, and started to help bandage up the wounded.
"We must fight them again tomorrow." She called to her allies who were bandaging up the others. "We can do it." Maria called, giving the others hope.

John stepped back when the massive Pokemon flew down with Flannery on it's back. "Yes, I'm fine, but I've got a few questions for you. What alliance do you fight for, I've never seen a Pokemon and human fight together with each other and not against each other. And, why exactly did you attack me? Has it become illegal to walk around in a field?" Even the last question was 100% serious, John was so used to space he had no idea how things worked on the ground.

"Down," Flannery muttered to Rayquaza. It growled quietly, lowering it's head, letting Flannery slide off it, at the same time not taking it's eyes from the man on the ground.
"We fight for no side. Our only goal is to stop this madness, to show that both sides need each other. As far as we know, we are unique in our partnership. You must know that I didn't order the attack, Rayquaza gets a little... over-protective." Flannery placed a hand on Rayla's head. "We've been attacked enough times. But we mean no harm."
Rayla snorted, earning a glare from Flannery.
"Who do you fight for?" She asked, "We don't recognize your armor."

Hsien looked at the two from afar with the massive monster from afar, Watching through his Longshot Sniper Rifle`s Scope. He was unable to decipher what they were saying through the way their lips were reading. He didnt want to shoot at any one of them, not after seeing what the woman was capable of throwing back at him if he missed the shot. He would rather like to wait for a better moment. He tilted his head slightly to move his long fringe a bit, still watching through the scope.

Sure enough... the fight hadn't ended. King Dedede had sent more troops. He would not accept a loss of the Caves where the majority of the invaluable Chocolate resource was ((Yes, Chocolate is an important element to whoever controls it. It gave happiness and power to the people who ate it)). Jihx had returned. She flew in as she scanned the surroundings, calling her troops to follow her.

"We can catch them off guard... this is good..."

They struck the Shy Guy camp, causing fighting to break out all over again. After all of the Shy Guys were slaughtered, the attack was again pushed back when the Pokemon arrived.

"BZZZZT BZZZ! BZZZTTT! BZZTTZ BZT! (NOW MY FELLOW POKE! FOR ARCEUS! HE SHALL GUIDE US TO VICTORY!)" The Bronzong was commanding the Pokemon, a small group of Steel Types, complete with 3 Utopian Tanks. "BZZZZXYX! (CHARGE!)"

The various Steel Types charged, going against the small squad sent by Dedede. The Bastiodon supplemented the group with Protect, as some towering Aggron caused damage up close. The peaceful field was now ablaze in war. The 4 of the 5 Star Warrior Commanders attacked the more defensive targets, while the last one((guess who~)) went and literally ate one of the Tanks whole.

The Waddle Dee were providing a surprising challenge for the Various Magnezone/ton in the group of Steel Types, who couldn't seem to hit them with Thunderbolt and Flash Cannon. The Bronzor held off attacks by the Gordos, who held off attacks by the Bronzor, causing a near stalemate between them. Most of the Steel Types had improved armor, allowing them to take hits from most Human weapons. The Aggron even had Self Launching Rocket Launchers attached to their shoulders. The Dreamland forces also had improved armor...

The field was ablaze again, find your side and fight with them.

This was where the Humans showed up. They came with their weapons, and the granddaddy of em all. The Nuke. They quickly joined the fight against the Pokemon, causing much more confusion, and helping push them back. The Humans were well equipped, and had a good morale. Their guns were near ineffective against some Pokemon, but the Rocket Launchers had a great effect against the Magnezone. As the Humans fought with them, more Pokemon arrived to help, a group of Ghosts Types led by a Spiritomb.

"Sssspirtttt Spriit... tomb oommbbbb.... (Go fight... we can do this...)" He hissed as he told his troops to join the fight. Spiritomb himself was the thing to worry about; Hypnosis, Dream Eater and Nightmare are all scary moves in a scary combo. Humans seemed to be very succeptable to it. Dreamlanders, not so much. They had brought a Gardevoir with them. She mostly stayed out of the fight, as she was carrying a book, and was going to do something... something big... She was a High Priestess for the Pokemon. A Shiny Gardevoir. She watched the fight, using her telepathy to send words of encouragement to the Pokemon.

John let his torch swing at his side in a very non-threatening manner and looked them over. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the fighting flare up again. He stepped forward, than quickly pulled his foot back at the thought of what the beast this woman controlled. "I fight for no one, but for the world in it's own. I seek this ultimate power in hopes to use it to end this war, by any means necessary. Behind you is a battle, and we must stop it before our fellow humans deploy a WMD to end it. I'll sneak through the cave, and attack from behind. Once I do, I want you two to attack them with me. Between the three of us, they'll fall quickly."

Flannery chuckled a little when she saw the man step forward, then take a small step back, remembering her first time seeing Rayquaza. She placed a hand on Rayla, listening to what this man had to say. When he finished, she nodded, and took a step towards the man, holding out her hand.
"I'm Flannery. My partner here is Rayla. Just don't look them in the eyes, and don't insult me or Rayla. I'm willing to join with you, but Rayla is as free as I am to make their choice. We want this to end as well, we were traveling to see if we could find any legendary pokémon that might help. If Rayla exists, then so do the rest."

Rayla ignored the man in the shiny suit, deciding that he was of no real threat, and that if he tried anything, he'd make a crunchy snack. No, they could feel something watching them. Rayla raised it's upper half up off the ground to get a better look.
"Ray?"
Rayla grunted in the affirmative, not looking down.

The Pokemon were losing quite badly, but they kept the pressure applied. The Bronzong commander was nearly invincible, thanks to it's abilities. It was fighting one of the Star Warriors, Jihx, and was winning.

"BZZZT BZZZTZ ZZBZTZZ... ZZXYXT XYXYX! (Your time has come... begone bitch!)" He spun into her, using Gyro Ball.

"What did you just call me?!" She answered as she dodged the attack.

"BZZZZTZ BZZ BXZT ZZZ XYXYX... BZZZT BZZTBZ TBTTZ...? (I called you a bitch... What are you gonna do about it...?)"

"I'm gonna melt you into a pile of slag..." She responded as her sword lit up in flame.

"BZZZT, BZZ BZZ" (Try all you want, it ain't happening.)" He spun around again, heading to ram her.

((XYXYX is Bronzong for a curse/demeaning word of any kind.))

Spiritomb in the meantime had a pile of Human bodies nearby as he continued going through them with his powers. He put them to sleep, forced them to attack each other, and do other things with Hypnosis. The unlucky few who were put to sleep were tormented endlessly with Nightmares, resulting in a slow and painful death. As the one in front of him was screaming for mercy in his sleep, he hissed,

"Spirrrrrit... Spir, Spiritooomb... Spiriomb oommb... (Yes... suffer, little one... your death will be maginficent...)"

The sad part was that most of the other Ghosts had been disposed of, but Spiritomb was holding his own quite well, all by himself. His Pressure ability was breaking the morale of most who approached. ((Since PP does not exist here, Pressure breaks morale of nearby enemies, making it harder for them to attack.))

It appeared the Pokemon were losing... but who knows...

John looked over Rayla and Flannery. He looked over at the battle again, noticing the fighting start to diminish. "We must move quickly, or the winning forces will reinforce, making an attack impossible."

John ran past the two, not turning back, hoping they would follow his plan. Inside of his suit, the heat was quickly building up, but John had nearly reached a back door to the caves. Sliding into place by it, he turned to Flannery for his last glimpse of light, perhaps ever.

Dropping down into the cave, John pulled his helmet off to cool himself for a moment, replacing it within a few seconds. As he rounded a corner, he saw one of the guards out of the corner of his eye. It was a very large snake, apparently made of steel or some other metallic substance. John knew there was no way he could survive a direct fight, he dropped to the ground, noting the beast was slow, and probably very stupid.

After crawling past most of the large guards and knocking out most of the smaller ones, John stood at an ammunition storage area for the pokemon and shy guys. I'll have to abandon stealth if I want to take this out...or I could use it as a diversion... John pulled himself up and screamed a blood-curdling battle cry as he blindly fired his torch, quickly setting several pokemon, shy guy, and ammo dumps aflame. John was able to jump to the ground with nary a moment to lose as a massive explosion rocked the caves, surprisingly not affecting it's stability much. "I just hope those two take this distraction I've given them..."

With what little Shy Guys remained obliterated by the Fire, and more of the Pokemon succumbing to flames, a Steelix (the iron snake thing he saw ealrier) noticed it's kin being attacked. It dug into the ground and tunned into a group of Dreamlanders, believeing them to be the ones attacking the Pokemon.

The Bronzong had finally been defeated as Jihx stood over the melting remains, feeling a sense of accomplishment.

You will terrorize no more... TROOPS! CHARGE! WE ARE WINNING!

At her cry, the Humans rallied with the Dreamland forces to help push the Pokemon further back. Spiritomb was doing well, but he would eventually be overwhelmed. He went back over to the Gardevoir, telling her something before going back to fight. The remaining Pokemon quickly joined him as they charged.

The Gardevoir read some things out of the book, and was performing a ritual of some sort. A group of Elite Bastiodon, Shiny Ones, were guarding her with Protect.

The Spiritomb went over to John before getting in front of him. It was Black with Red Eyes and Dots and a Grey Keystone, creating a rather intimidating display, and Pressure wouldn't help either. Surprisingly, it spoke english, albeit a bit broken and slow, and John would be able to perfectly understand it.

"Juuusssst whaaaaat are yoooou doing little one...? That isss immmmportant equuuipmment..."

John simply looked in awe as the Spiritomb came over to him, it was a marvel. A logical impossibility. "I'm stopping you." He lifted his arm and pushed it forward, freezing the Spiritomb. It would be incredibly temporary, but it would give him time to continue his charge. Turning, he noticed the creature had been released, but he was far enough to see the battle, and most importantly, his newest target: the Gardevoir, guarded by several elite Bastiodan.

Stepping forward, torch at his hip John charged over to the group, firing, but an invisible force field, their protect, was stopping him. He dropped his torch to the ground as he was flung in the air by one of the elites' charge. Getting up, he managed to jump out of the way of it's second charge and grab his torch. The battle had begun.

After having thawed out, the Spiritomb looked around and saw the man, it fired off a Hypnosis towards John.

"You... will not win..."

The Bastiodon were doing their best, with their Thickly Protected Foreheads, most direct attacks failed, and they were in a circle, it was near impossible to get behind some of them.

The Gardevoir was aware of the potential danger as she saw the man, followed by several more Humans and Dreamlanders. She finished the ritual thing, and had a nearby Magnezone open a hole at the top of the cave. It would open up the sunlight on the makeshift altar, and it's statue. She then made her get away, Teleporting out.

As the Bastiodon were losing quick, the Statue of Arceus glowed. It rose up into the air, and exploded, creating a blinding white light.

Jihx stared in horror alongside the other Commanders as she watched this happen.

No! That ruins everything! She was worried now, as she watched a being materialize. After resisting a shockwave, she glimpsed the new thing. It was a portal, and this portal spilled forth more Ghost and Dark types. Until it was closed, the Pokemon would have endless reinforcements.

Flannery swung herself up onto Rayla, who was still glaring at the thing that was watching them. Once Flannery was safely on, though, and the man had charged off into a cave, followed not long after by an explosion, Rayla took off into the air.
Rayla easily took on both the troops, although it found it a small bit harder to hurt it's fellow pokémon.
"RAAYQUAZA! QUAZ!" [Stop! We don't want to hurt you!"
Raising it's head for a moment, the skies turned a steely grey, thunder rumbling in the distance. Thunder was a powerful move, as lightening crashed around Rayla and Flannery in the air, hitting the troops below, the dragon letting loose controlled bursts of Outrage as well, Rayquaza looking very much like a mythical dragon breathing fire.
The next few moments happened quickly.
Flannery had been feeling drowsy, a Hypno had stopped her and thought she was trying to hurt Rayquaza, sending her to sleep. She slipped off, falling at an alarming rate, still sleeping.
Rayla, too busy dealing with the rush of mental attacks, greetings and cheers, had almost missed the slight bit of pressure and weight on it that was Flannery, disappearing.
It dived, bullets flying off its body, one hitting its neck, and snatched Flannery with it's claws, who was still asleep.
Rayla landed, curling its mid-section around Flannery, attacking the troops from the ground now.

John had to keep watch of an impossible 360 degrees or he would undoubtedly by killed. The sheer number of opponents he fought would mean his torch was invariably useless as a weapon, but as a defense, it was irreplaceable. These beasts were harmed greatly by fire, or in John's case, plasma.

One of the Bastiodan charged John and he did the only thing he could think of: put both of his hands out and in between the two of them. He caught the dinosaur's forehead with his arms, and slid a good ten feet before reaching a stalemate with the beast. "You...won't...win...but at least...you have...honor." John gasped between deep breaths. His arms were tiring much slower than they would have without his suit, and felt felt as if he could fight like this for days.

((That torch is his greatest asset vs a Steel Type.))

The Bastiodon, as tough as they were, actually died easily when hit with fire. They feared the torch, and made several attempts to use Stone Edge and put it out.

Jihx continued with the other Star Warriors, killing various low level Ghost and Dark Types that came out if the portal. As she did this, the pink one made himself useful and helped John dispose of the Bastiodon by eating them.

The Spiritomb heard the Rayquaza, and had apparently become the spokesperson for the entire army.

"Sppiiiirrrrtt... Sppiiiirrrrtt spirit ooomb...? (Why... Why should we...?)" It answered as it went and confronted Flannery and her Rayquaza.

(( The Spiritomb in question, since he will be a major recurring character...
