0_o That was a lot of text. I hope you weren't trying to tell me anything in that jumbled mess, because there is no way I'm reading all that.

Please, let's get this fucking show on the road, kicking away Gabriel. Listen, dude, research your insults, I'm not a girl, and have never had a period, so yeah, that falls down the pipe hole. Now, we all had to read through the ... ahem, contents of your post, wouldn't it be wise to do the same, especially when somebody offers a decent argument. Xersist's post was perfectly legible to me, so, unless you have an under-developped mind (no comment), then just read and register what's being said.

Seriously, if you come in here bashing people for typos and other grammatical errors, yet fail to even show that you're more sophisticated by refusing to read what's being told to you, which isn't food for another bashing post, therefore you resort to a useless post, your just pushing yourself further away from ... Well, any positive feeling from us. Seriously, ever heard the expression: "When in a hole, stop digging." ? Heed it's words ...

However, the best thing to stimulate the club, seeing as it's an RP club, is to do an RP ! I''ve got one in mind, been working on it for some time.

It's a mix between fantasy and sci-fi, more so the latter than the former. Setting is the desert, with a race of desert-dwelling people with elven properties (vague, I know, I'll expand later), struggle to repell an attack from humans, living beyond the ash mountain ranges of the west. I've based alot of ideas for characters, creatures and encironments from the game TES III: Morrowind, especially it's Concept Art page. The struggle will be humans, who once tried to conquer the desert but were pushed back by the magic might of the Drothei (elven desert dudes), re-trying thanks to their advanced technology, facing fewer numbers.

In any case, I'll expand some other time, but that's the general idea, and stuff, and ... yeah, whatever. Ideas and stuff, just fling them at me ... whatever, see ya !

PS: We should really have a sign up saying: Don't feed the troll.

*Twitch* No offense buddy, but you just fed the damn troll!

*Cough* As far as the RP goes this needs to be different than the other RPs floating around. The storyline in it's base is fine, but we need to put significant thought into this, and all large scale surprise need to be planned ahead of time. If you can find an appropriate way to guide the storyline and keep it from just dying out that would be nice. Us sponsoring/making a bad RP will do far more harm than a single good RP could help. Be careful, put in planning, and get involved, especially with your own work.

I've got a huge setting thought out, but plot-wise, I don't have that many ideas ... Anyone else got any thoughts ?

There's always more to be learned from mistakes than from successes. What if your story revolves around an unwinnable conflict, or if the 'heroes' fail? Wouldn't that make for a much more interesting story?

How would the surviving protagonists deal with their own feelings of defeat? What would the reactions of those they swore to protect be? Would they give up, or would the heroes swear to strike back in any way they could? If the antagonist is sufficiently powerful, for example, in the above fantasy suggestion from Selothi, the elven-type race (to which most of the players should belong) loses their struggle against th humans? Imagine the upheavel as their world is turned upside down under military occupation from an invading army. Who would join the enemy, and who would devote their lives to fighting for freedom underground? How would the innocent react to the imposed cultural and legal changes wrought by the invaders?

The key in good writing is to always pile more and more on the heroes until they just might crack, and see how they react. The same is true of RP. The more indomitable the odds, the more rewarding the victory, but if their is a crushing defeat, the interesting part is how they bounce back... if at all.

Just a suggestion.

Hmm, defeat as a certainty ? Sounds good, though I don't want to see my little Drotheis hurt ! lol. In any case, yeah, the human army would be far more impressive this time. Perhaps rather than retreating underground, just make the elves have to retreat further and further into the recesses of the harsh desert (Tattooine-like, y'know ?), finding less and less to eat, and less resolve to fight, as the human war mongrel-dog-pigs win back more and more of the land they once tried to conquer.

Occupation ? I'm not all for it, I feel like it would be better if the humans did this war effort for no better reason than to defeat the "enemy", rather than gaining land, as really, apart from moisture farming, there ain't that much resource-wise in the desert. But yeah, it would to see both the Drothei losing hope as they slowly get slaughtered, thinking of more and more drastic measures to try and fight back the enemy, and on the other hand, maybe the humans fed up with the harsh environment that is the desert.

Anyway, just flinging ideas this way and that, and trying to get this club alive !

Hey Guys I thought up a story, and I was hoping you guys were interested, I'm taking this lower part out from the OOC page, if you interested, come join up.

Not another Superhero

OK this story will simply start out with you lying in your bed, sitting in your chair, whatever, thinking about last night. Last night you found yourself lying in a large empty warehouse, with a bunch of other teens about your age, all waking up at the same time. Its late and you head back home, thinking it was all a dream. You wake up the next day and realize you have superpowers. What will you do with this new found ability. Help the weak, take revenge, fight for justice, get what you need, stay the same,or change everything around you. Apparently the power is in your hand, what you do with it is up to you.

The Setting is taken place in Atlanta Georgia, I just thought that his place need a few good heroes, and villains. I don't know, New York was getting kinda crowded, Damn Spidey,. The year is later on, lets say 2016, not to close to expect whats gonna happen, but not to far off to say its Sci-fi. Just kinda snug in the middle.

Plot, for right now that's a close secret, for right now I'm just gonna let your characters flow out, and deal with life with a new twist. Make it exciting, fight crime, steal money, save a kitty, whatever you think your character will do. But trust me the plot will come in.
