Chloe almost immediately felt overwhelmed from everyone’s input. Things would be simple if they could just follow Kurama’s advice; advice that Angel soon repeated after it was ignored the first time. The first of them to do anything after the water was Zane, doing some odd ritual with rocks and dirt. Are you kidding me? Rocks aren’t going to save her! Rocks haven’t done anything for anyone except get them crushed or skip across water. But Chloe wasn’t about to say something like that. It was way too early in the game to get her actual personality out on the table. She just needed to stay in the background and keep the attention away from her persona. Luckily, she was the one with the reflection ability, not anyone else.
A red-head spoke up behind them, claiming that Azalea was stupid. Chloe shot him a look that was often considered a dagger in the chest, but she was almost certain that he wasn’t paying attention. So much for everyone trying to make their best impression on everyone else. Apparently he didn’t care to respect those who could wake up any moment and turn hostile. Luckily on his part, he started heading towards the Academy building instead of hanging around. Why aren’t we in the academy yet? They had already been there almost 20 minutes and they already had a black-out on their hands. Sure, this probably wasn’t all of the students, but it might be a good idea to bring in those who had already arrived.
Then, of course, another arrival had occurred. A girl, no older than her late teens, joined the group, asking what had happened. However, before she could be responded to by anyone- including Chloe- a man in monk-like robes entered their gathering, annoyed. He had been doing something that all of their frenzied panic had ruined. Assuming that he was trying to fill the “monk” persona, Chloe derived that he had been meditating. That might be a good idea, especially before going into a school. Being calm in any situation was usually ingenious.
The monk, although she originally was annoyed by his presence, seemed to make her more uneasy than anything. His essence was just conflicting with her own. But there was no time for that. Arisa burst in as soon as her voice was prepared for it, declaring that a breast inspection had to be done. Chloe felt a little awkward, being around so many people who were comfortable with their sexuality, regardless of those around them. Jealousy would’ve accompanied such an emotion, but Chloe knew better than to be so open. It usually only got you into trouble. “We should just bring her inside. Honestly, she’s just unconscious. Her pulse and breathing patterns are normal. She should be fine after her body’s oxygen is replenished.” Chloe grabbed Azalea’s arms, then motioned for someone else to hold on to her legs so that she could be lifted into the Academy.
What a way to start out the school year! Already, she was sure that she didn’t like a few of the students- those who were a little too open about everything, though some of them had a personality that only conflicted with her own on a tolerable scale. Already, someone had fallen unconscious and their powers had been introduced. Well, most of them, that was.
