As Arisa left Chloe only moments after Kurama set off to make amends with Angel, Chloe felt instantly calmer and more content- though the images were still incinerated into the corners of her mind. She started to finish off her spaghetti, taking note of who else was in the room with each bite. The food started getting colder, stickier, less scrumptious as she took her time. Chloe felt something weird going on in the pit of her stomach- an emotion stronger than the instinct brought upon by hunger. It was if there was something weird about this place- something beyond her normal comprehension of the world that went into the realms of the supernatural. Whatever this paranormal sensation was, it sent shivers down her spine and rearranged her thoughts. This wasn't how Chloe normally thought, nor how she normally acted. Zodi Academy, or something manifesting on the way here, had changed her- and she had only just arrived. Soon enough, the full effects would settle in.
The food was gone, her tray added to a large stack of dishes that needed to be done. Although she hadn't seen any staff moving around in the kitchen area, she was sure that someone was going to clean up after them. That's the way that schools worked. Chloe had no worries in that area. She was determined that this "Academy" was nothing more than that- although her mind told her otherwise. Until she had solid proof, however, she was going to have to treat it as such.
She arrived at her dorm in no time, avoiding windows and water at all costs, hoping for the day that she'd be able to control how her reflecting abilities to arrive soon. It was difficult throughout her public school years, having to explain to her teachers that she had a major problem with water, getting one of her close friends from another school to pretend to be a doctor so that she'd have a note to get out of swimming or going outside while it was raining and there were puddles everywhere. Chloe had always taken the longer routes to get to certain areas so that she could avoid windows, and she'd avoid looking at herself in mirrors unless she was still groggy from awakening in the morning. It was a wonder that she still got all of her make-up done and kept her clothes in decent array on her body.
Chloe grabbed hold of her trusty camera and started to take pictures of her dorm and a few of the areas around it so that she could send some information home to the folks and a few of her friends that she had obtained from the many times moving. Every time the light flashed, she felt the room go slightly darker, only to progress back into the dimness that she witnessed before the picture was captured; then the cycle started again. As soon as she finished with her dorm, she planned on getting pictures of the rest of the school if she could. The place was gorgeous beyond her imagination's capacity, and she planned on sharing that with the rest of them, even if they frowned upon the reason she was actually there.
