From the Dawn Of time they came, moving silently down through the centuries. Living many secret lives, struggling to reach the time of the gathering, when the few who remain will battle to the last, to gain the prize.

They are the immortals.

Okey here is my RP, based on the highlander films, you are one of the last remaining immortals. The year is 2008 and you have been drawn to London. This is were the fight that has spanned centuries will end, and the prize won.

So the normal rules apply, for roleplay wise,

RULES:
1. No Godmodding!
2. Please have at least a working command of the English language. I'd like this RP to be enjoyable for everyone, and it takes a lot of the fun away if someone writes as though they were an especially dim elementary school student.
3. Follow the RPG rules and conditions. (Also a given.)
4. Please PM me with a character profile before you just randomly jump in and start posting away, just so that I can OK it.
5. Swearing is fine by me, so go ahead and let loose. Romance is also fine, but keep it PG-13

only a few i have to mention which are:

1) your character can only die if they have there head cut off
2) No fighting on holy land, this is against the rules.

So yeah, this is my first attempt at an RP so please give it a chance.

If you know of the higlander films this is based further through time so new characters, the only recurring one will be Connor MacLeod (Played by me, sort of a bit character he is there but not really that involved, i will have another charcter)

Some information about the immortals, well you can't die. The only way is to get your head cut off by another immortal. Next is that you cant fight on holy ground, that is against the rules set down, yes this is just a big game.
Immortals can't have kids, its impossible for them to, only way for them to do that is to be the last left.

so who wants to know about the prize that you all will be fighting over?

well you lucky people, here we go

When the last immortal dies by your blade, you gain all the information of the world to use how you will, for good or evil, for your own good, or the good of others.

You also become mortal, till the next generation of immortals are born.

the immortals are human, the setting is earth. this is an accurate presentation of the film, if you look in the first post by me you will find character info that i need.

Real Name: Claudia Aria
Alias: April Freeman
Sex: Female
Description: stands at about 5'5'', skin slightly tanned, jade green eyes, dark brown waist length hair, in a braid.
Weapon: Arabic Saif (a type of scimitar)
Age: 50
Bio: Claudia is a Arabic-Canadian. She has Arabic descendents on one side of her family. She is one of a newer generation of immortals. Her sword is a family heirloom, and came down to her through the generations.

Alias: Fox Mulder, Claas Danzinger, Wolf von Hessel, Wolfgang Zinzendorf. He has used these names through the ages. Currently he is known as Fox Mulder.
Age: 32 ( real age is 630)
Gender: Male
Appearance: Wolfgang is tall, taller than an average man. The lean, hardened body has made many younger men look at themselves in jealousy and many woman smile in appreciation. The lean, angular face of Wolfgang is very reminiscent of the animal he takes his name from. The deep set ivy colored eyes stare out from under shadowed brows. Long, graying hair, braided and bound by a leather twist falls down to the middle of his broad back.
Weapon: Wolfgang carries a war sword from the around the 1400 hundreds.
Occupation: Wolfgang is a financial advisor.
Bio: Wolfgang was born to a large family on the edge of the Black Forest. His father was a very minor Jarl for a Germanic Principality. Wolfgang entered the already established order of Teutonic Knights as a young boy at the age of 11. When he was 32 years old he led a company of the Order in the Battle of Grunwald. The Polish-Lithuanian army decisively defeated the Order at this battle, year 1410. It was here that Wolfgang and his company were cut off and decimated by the foot soldiers of the Polish-Lithuanian army. After a battle that lasted no more than fifteen minutes the knights were over run and slaughtered.

Two days later as the looters and scavengers fought over the bodies Wolfgang woke, and scared the band of rovers who had looted most of the bodies. Seeing a knight rise from the dead had a very powerful effect on them. Wolfgang made his way back to the headquarters only to find himself shunned and banished as either an undead or coward. The grandmaster of the order told him to leave and never allow any knight to see his face or they would be forced to kill him.

Wolfgang made his way south and into the ultimately in to Moorish Spain where he joined the Christian knights who were struggling to reclaim Spain from them. Wolfgang watched the last Moor stronghold of Granada surrender in 1492. In April of that year Wolfgang joined an Italian explorer to find Asia and establish a trade route that way. HE sailed on the Santa Maria as part of the three ship expedition. Wolfgang returned to Europe in 1493 and stayed there, learning and perfecting his skills with the war sword.

During the 1500’s Wolfgang fought in several wars and for several armies as well as seeing the unveiling of Michelangelo’s David.. In 1512 he was one of the first to see the Sistine Chapel’s ceiling painted by Michelangelo.

From the 1600’s to the 1700’s he sailed the West Indies as a Privateer. He fought in the French and Indian wars on the side of the English, and when the war ended in 1763, he settled down on a small plot of land in Massachusetts.
In 1765 he was angered by the crown’s order in the housing of British troops. He was outraged at the Stamp Act passed by Parliament with no input or voice by the colonist.
Wolf was present at the Boston Massacre in 1770.
In 1763 he partook of the Boston Tea party and helped toss the crates of tea in to the harbor. Until America won it’s independence he fought as part of the Continental Army.

During the early parts of the 1800’s he travelled the west exploring the land that lay before him. In1861 he was joined the Massachusetts Militia and entered the War between the States. In 1890 he watched the first Army-Navy football game.

In 1900’s Wolf fought in both World Wars, Korea and Vietnam. After the collapse of the stock market he began a serious study of stocks and investments. That knowledge he has he has used as the Wolf Investment Group, LLC over the last 58 years to help grow his own wealth. Every 21 years he has the owner of Wolf pass his majority shares to a relative, whom takes over. So far he has done this twice in the life of the company.

okey more info, the immortals only find out they are immortal when they are mortally wounded. Immortals also know when there are other immortals near by, because of a pain they feel running through there body, this is sort of them becoming mortal when they meet.

that is it.

Next as this is a sort of battle royal, between all players, i have to come up with a fair way to decided a winner, as if we all choose it wouldn't work. i was think about using the dice system in chat, then posting the result here, so when you come to posting the fight between your character and another one, you can see who will finally win, i thought this way so that it is all fair.

Also if its okey, if your guy wins a fight, they gain the power of the person they kill, so i will add one to there dice role (or what the person they killed had if it was more)

fights would be started by challenging others, you challenge others in game but you can also make allies out of the other immortals so that you can survive longer.

I also hope for a good story with your characters exploring the city of London as well as some decent fights between characters. Yes this might not be a long rp due to people being killed off, but i hope to come up with an adventure type highlander story that will take longer.

So post the challenges here once they have been done or PM them to me, dont mind which.

Description: a large man, barrel chested and nearly seven feet tall. tied back black hair in a short pony tail and a short bushing beard. light blue eyes. His body is covered in tattoos, blue and black rune letters.
Weapon:

Bio: Eyfrøðr was born in modern Sweden in 812AD. he discovered his immortality after surviving a spear through the heart in a battle in 831AD. Since that day, Eyfrøðr pledged himself to Odin, which meant womanizing and the gathering of knowledge. He never gave up his adventurous nature and was with the first vikings to settle in Newfoundland. Eyfrøðr was left behind then the vikings pulled out and spent a long time with the Native Americans and killed an immortal there. During the 1700s, Eyfrøðr was able to return home to Sweden. After a few years, Eyfrøðr signed aboard a merchant vessel. Drifting from ship to ship and never staying for more then three voyages, Eyfrøðr learned dozens of languages and more lovers then one can count. During the first would war, Eyfrøðr served with the French army and survived two mustard gas attacks. During the second world war, he served with the English Royal Marines. In Korea, Eyfrøðr served in the American army. After those wars, Eyfrøðr became a drifter, living off several Swiss bank accounts.

Thats Good NA, I was going ask about the setting. Since in the movies and the television show not all immortals fought one another. Many were friends having traveled through the ages together. I always thought in the first movie mostly and the TV show expounded on it. There seemed to be aligned sides of immortals, those who fought against the darker intentioned immortals, and those who attacked and killed any immortal they could find.

Are you going to start and in character thread to allow us to RP out the exploration of London?

Name: Arthur Pendragon
Alias: Tom Grifts
Sex: Male
Age: 1558
Description: Arthur stands at about 5' 9", as is well built. He has brown eyes and matted long blond hair in braids, as well as a long beard. Both his hair and beard as well as his left hand have lots of warrior rings to show the amount of kills he has accomplished over the years, from both mortals and immortals.

Weapon: He wields the weapon Caledfwlch (Excalibur)

History: Arthur was born in Britain in the province of Dumnonia (Now known as Cornwall) in 450AD as the bastard child of High King Uther Pendragon, In 483AD he was exiled to Armorica (France) when the High Kings Son was killed in a battle against the Saxons. In 495AD he was summoned back to become the protector of the heir to the throne.
In the years to come he fought both countryman and the saxons. Making many enemies, and friends. In the Year 506AD he was mortally wounded in a fight with the young King Mordred, this was when he became immortal.

From then on he traveled the world, seeing its sites fighting its wars.

The next time he returned to England it was the year 1095 when the first crusade was setting off, signning up he went to the holy lands, fighting for the king of england, and participating in the sacking of Jerusalem, in the ultimate slaughter of its people he tried to calm his men, but to no avail. He then Continued to serve in the holy land and at one point became the Grand master of the Knights Templar. In the end he had to fake his own death and leave the holy land.

The next few years he began to travel the world again. Making friends with a few immortals which he traveled with. returning to england in 1664 were he lived with his 5th wife Joan. Two years later the great fire of London ripped through the city destroying other a third of the city. His wife Joan died that day, trapped in there burning home. He left England the next day vowing never to return.

After a few more hundred years of travel settled down in France. Becoming a high class citizen, he went for many years living this live under many different alias' until 1848 and the start of the French Revolution he had to flee the country.

From then on he just traveled never settling down in one place. Fighting in both world wars. He now returns to London for the gathering, to see if he will gain mortality.
