Alex twisted to the side of Wolf's cut, barely-he could feel a line of blood on his calf..he kicked out with his left foot, sending the steel toed boot rushing towards Wolfs lower back, then turned it into a forward hop that was leading into a massive overhead chop, wrenching the blade into an overhand spin as he completed the first swing so he could come around with another horizontal, as his blade moved past his opposing shoulder, Alex twisted his wrist just enough to make a torso shot into a knee shot.


Seeing the Great twist his body to avoid the slashing attack to his leg, the momentum of the downward swing forced Wolf to step forward with his right foot or lose his balance. As he did so the entirety of his body twisted dropping his sword into a left side closed stance, the blade held up at an angle the pommel close to Wolf’s lower abdomen, his fist pressed against his left thigh, placing him again at the flank of Alexander. The Great was indeed fast as shown by the speed at which he suddenly changed his attacks and angles.

Again the spinning swings and arcing slices were easily parried by the position of the war sword and the stance Wolf had assumed. Sliding back under the onslaught Wolf assumed a close right handed position; then again he passed guard to allow himself into a left close stance, because of the ferocity of Alexander's attack. Seeing that Alexander had extended himself by the sudden twisting of his wrist to go from a torso attack to a lower knee attack, Wolf dropped his war sword downward and over the oncoming blade trapping it against his right knee and the flat of the war sword. Wolf knew it would work because if the Great had gone for the left knee, the position of Wolf’s war sword would allow a quick stab into the throat of the Great.

Stepping in close to Alexander, Wolf’s left foot planted near the Great as he did he pivoted and rolled releasing the trapped blade as the right leg swung around. For a brief instant both Wolf and Alexander were back to back. As he spun, his right foot planted firmly, the war sword had swung up so the sword's pommel was even with Wolf’s right shoulder. Reversing the momentum Wolf launched down and forward at the exposed hip of Alexander with the sword. If the blow landed it would cause the Great to become hobbled and thus less maneuverable, negating the speed at which Alexander launched his multiple angled assaults.

Wolf slid back his sword and position reverting to a left inside stance the war sword raised horizontally the edges sideways, the hilt pulled in near Wolf’s head, the point of the sword directed towards Alexander’s face. This position allowed Wolf to thrust and parry rather then cut.

Seeing the position Alexander had assumed, Wolf allowed a thin smile to cross his lips. The weakness of the hanging guard Wolf was about to exploit, he stepped forward slightly forcing the point of his sword inside so that if Alexander wanted to parry the attack his wrists would be twisted, this awkwardness would cause Alexander’s ability to parry or attack would be weak as he had no way to generate torque and recovery would be delayed.

If Alexander moved to beat the quick attack, knowing his ability to reset his guard would be slowed. Wolf quickly made an attack against Alexander by stepping out and pushing his blade into the Great as Wolf advanced. Wolf made brief blade contact with the hanging guard of Alexander, as he did so his war sword disengaged and made an instantaneous downward slash to the Greats head and face.

Following through the downward slash, Wolf slid back his sword and position reverting to a left inside stance the war sword raised horizontally the edges sideways, the hilt pulled in near Wolf’s head, the point of the sword directed towards Alexander’s face. This position allowed Wolf to thrust and parry rather then cut.

Wolf waited to see how the results of the last exchange had occurred, to judge the damage done to the fable Alexander.

Standing there watching the stumbling Alexander, Wolf felt the sudden searing pain in his side. Glancing down he saw the damp area on his side. Touching the damp spot he realized the swiftness of Alexander, even though Wolf had executed almost to perfection, the speed of Alexander compensated and the tip of the mighty sword had pierced Wolf’s side.

Snorting, Wolf lowered his sword into a right back stance, his feet sliding into position, the left leg bent slightly at the knees. The right foot slightly pointing out and away from his body. The angle of the war sword at almost 45 degrees, Wolf’s left arm across his body and the right arm flush along his torso, the right hand gripped the pommel in a underhanded grip.

Narrowing his eyes, Wolf exhaled as he tightened his grip, focusing on the man before him, Wolf said just loud enough for Alexander to hear, “There can be only one.” Stepping forward, as the right leg planted Wolf passed the guard of Alexander, Wolf’s war sword torques upward and then down suddenly in a forceful right to left diagonal cut towards the groin and inner thigh of Alexander. Both Wolf’s hips and shoulders turned enough to maximize the impact of the blow to Alexander’s inner thigh.

Pulling the blade back after the blow, the war sword came up over Wolf’s left shoulder. Shifting all the weight forward, Wolf swung the edge of the war sword at Alexander’s neck, twisting at his hips and throwing more of his weight into the blow, Wolf hoped to removed Alexander’s head with the blow.

Arthur walked away from the meal, the nights entertainment had ended in everyone wishing each other well, but Arthur had noticed that not everyone had turned up. Turning in to a back ally he looked up in the distance he could see the arch of Wembly stadium he had been walking since the meal ended, heading north once more to were he lived once, with his eight wife. Thats when he felt the familiar twinge that riped through his body another immortal was close.

Stopping he with drew Excalibur from it sheath he began to turned peering into all the dark places looking for movement his ears strained for the sound of a sword being removed from its sheath. He turned every second felt like an hour, every moment that passed could lead to his head begin taken. Then he heard it a faint whistle that seemed to grow closer, looking up he saw the immortal falling sword high above his head.

With great speed, Arthur brought his sword up in a Horizontal defense stance, which at the final moment just as the mans sword came into contact he twisted slightly just enough to deflect the sword away, but still the strength of the attack forced him back. which put him on the defensive, the man came quickly his katana sweeping through the end each way pushing Arthur back. till the moon came out from behind the cover of the clouds showing the mans features.

It was the Man from yesterday evening that tried to attack him on holy ground, in his eye he could see the determination to win, to take a head.Arthur just had to defend looking for a weakness a rest bite that he could attack back, the ground was wet. To wet to dodge and spin, it looked like this fight was down to strength and stamina. After about ten minutes his chance came, Ryan O'brian, the man from yesterday slipped on the wet ground letting his guard down, thats when Arthur moved making Excalibur sing through the air, he attacked forcing Ryan into defensive actions, he began to move him back, swing after swing of Excalibur sent his opponent back till he slipped once more, falling to the ground Arthur brought Excalibur down again and agian, then

Ryan's sword broke, pieces flying everywere. Arthur stopped and took a step back then spoke loudly,

"There Can Be Only One!"

Then with a swing he took Ryan's head off, as it fell to the ground dark clouds built up over the area, and blue lightning began to stream down striking Arthur lifting him of the ground filling him with power, with more strength, more speed, the quickening of the immortal he had just killed transferring to Arthur, then all around alarms began to sound as windows exploded outward spraying glass everywhere, then Arthur came back down to earth his power increased.

Arthur picked Excalibur back up sheathing it he retreated into the morning light, trying to get as far away from the battle site as possible.

Daniel looked up as alarms began sounding in the distance. "One down..." he murmured under his breathe, then continued reading.
