[Haha, thanks ^^ I was imagining how I feel on my worst days :P ]
Luke was shaking his head even before he had climbed out of the car. "Yes, one day they're going to ask about their mother, and I know that I'm not going to be able to tell them anything about her because I'll break down. I'm not going to do that in front of them, so when they do ask, I'll just put them in the car and take them over to her parents house. Then, I'll have to leave them there for a while. I can't be there when they hear about her - I just can't.." His voice trailed off, filled with hurt and sadness for the only woman that he had ever loved properly. "I know, it's stupid of me to hold it all in, but letting it all out? I can't do it, Flo." He told her, shaking his head softly. He knew that if they were going to talk about Elizabeth, he would be crying in front of her. He didn't want to do that, but she seemed adamant that they were going to have this conversation.
"Flo, my kids have been taught the right way to act, yes, but none of that is because of me. I don't know the right way to act in life; you've seen that. I don't want my son to be a womanizing," and his voice was lowered again because of the swear word, "dickhead, or my daughter to be the type of girl that sleeps around. I try my best not to put any of my ideas into their heads. I teach them manners, please and thank you, but that's it. Everything else, they've done on their own." He sighed softly, and then he ran a hand through his hair once more, trying not to disturb Rosie.
When she told him that she also thougth he had been a bastard the first time that they met, Luke closed his eyes. He felt bad that he had made her believe that, even when she hadn't known him all that well, but then again, she still seemed to think that he was a good person. "Yes, you know me, my feelings and everything else - but just think of me at school - I'm not the nicest person, am I?" He sighed softly, and then walked into his children's room. When she stuttered over the word, I, he hoped that this was it. Had she caught on to what he had been saying about her being the woman in his life? And then, his hope was lost again when she just said that she believed that he own words were true. "Oh.. right.. thanks, I guess." he sighed, before putting Rosie to bed.
When his daughter was tucked in, and he had gently slipped her teddy bear that she loved so much under her arm, he then headed over to Zach's bed, and gently kissed his forehead too. "Night, little man." He smiled softly, brushing some of his long wispy hair out of his eyes before heading over to the door. Flora looked even worse now, and he could feel that it was getting worse, which even though it sounded bad, could work in his favor. He shut the door to his children's room, and then turned to look at the woman he was with. "Flo, you look like crap. Maybe you should rest in my room or something." He said, knowing that he wasn't going to let her drive when she was feeling like this. "I don't think talking about my problems would be good for you right now."
