Sorry to be a pain, i might have jumped to conclusions. My activity is going to be inconsistent for a while, with christmas family visiting. But if we're both still around at the start of next year I'd still like to fight.

Patch once you enter the arena you are always going to be watched. Everyone looks for their next challenge, or new techniques and innovations that can expand their own dueling skills. You should not feel subconscious, rather elated that people do take an interest in your fight enough to read it.

Was wondering if anyone would like to share their opinion on the fight between Zman and Jace?

post939394.html#p939394

Just your opinion on the fight, nothing about if something was illegal or whatnot like that. Tha just takes away from the enjoyment that Jace and me are having at the expense of the street we are destroying with explosions and car throwing.

Well I have always been a fan of Jace. His fights tend to be uniquely interesting, thus far I find it an entertaining read.

Do bullets and guns fit in T1 ? What are some gun war RPs here, I can learn from.

If you are looking for a battle with guns just setup a topic in the arena asking for a gun fight. For Role Plays you can just look for some modern day ones that would accept guns

could I setup a topic to be trained in the use or rather the Tactic and Rules of Role Playing gun battles by a veteran or mentor ?

There's nothing stopping you from asking. To be honest though, gun battles are rare in the arena, purely because of the potential for misuse or godmodding.

The only person I know who consistently uses guns is Jace. Off the top of my head, I can only think of one recent battle that involved heavy firepower apart from Jace's Victor, and that was me and Zman's battlesuit fight. 'Twas fun, that one.

You're welcome to put up a topic. Just have to wait and see if anyone bites.
You know the goal. You know the path. The only thing that can stop you now is complacency. Go take what's yours.

So many posts! O.O we are probally past the subject now but about backstory for fights and duels of the random nature. Most fights travel across the multi-universe, so how one character gets to point A to point B is relatively confusing.

I generally use the character "Tigeress", in rp combat. To allow her to cross the multi-universe she suffers from hallucinations and dreams, which is my way of crossing her to many worlds temporarily. The backstory is simple for that, it would be either nightmarish or beatiful, as battle is generally a combination of both. Tig's journey and personality connects her well to dueling, as her "goal" in life is to experience different emotions, essentially learning what is to exist and live without a single regret. Her "Race" is bound purely by emotions, so thus each battle is a new learning experience. She tends to find beauty in every situation. Often times I find she befreinds the people she has dueled with, thus increasing her story.. but the sadness and unique nature of it all is that it was all a dream, and afterwards she returns to her universe.

Essentially, any universe she has been in is all technically a "dream" that may last for years to her, but thats all. Clearly she can be a misguided character, but also interesting at the same time.

As for combat description, I find players respond to my savage/forceful way of writing combat combined with Tig's soft, honorable, and compassionate personality. They are two drastic sides to her nature, and very interesting to use as a team. A easy example is that she is a beskerer with a greatsword, but fights with joy and sadness intermixed with other feelings, so its not like just getting "Pissed Off" lol, I guess the drastic differences in her combat nature appeal to my general audience :). Other examples is that in her story she once broke a flower with her large clumsy hands, and carries it with her as a sorrowful reminder of the action, but in combat she is likely to completely decapitate a enemy...

Just my thoughts on the matter!

You know, I'm currently facing Tig in battle. For some reason I've absorbed alot of knowledge about her. For one I've had to use a horribly different style than I'm use to. I can't take Tig of terms of raw power and strength, so I've had to use unorthodox methods to even try and damage her. It's so awesome of a fight, just the first posts have excited me alot lol. Its hard to deal with a basically "Untouchable" opponent. o.o I'm use to facing opponent that can keep up to my own speed while in character or faster, just thinking of the different ways I could attack and "Safely" take damage without being crushed lol :D

I'll throw my two cents down, as far as gun battles are concerned:

If you plan on fighting in Realistic Melee or matches, don't use guns. The average person, or even above average, would be hard pressed to dodge a barrage of lead, and that's just no fun.

Now, I'm not boasting by any means, but some people say I am one of the best sparrers/battlers that uses guns, and this could possibly be because I rarely ever shoot real bullets at anyone. My character, Victor, has two separate forms of firearms: Twin P-14 semi/fully automatic handguns, and two specially made obsidian revolvers, which comes with his 'gun-mage' characteristics.

Side-note: Victor's baseline powers, in his normal form, is control over kinetics. That being said, he uses his P-14's almost solely for the purpose of destroying landscape. To do this he will fire the guns, and then catch them in their own wells of velocity/kinetic fields and propel them forward at double or three times the speed, increasing their destructive power exponentially. Now, I've fired guns at a few people, but only if I knew they could dodge. Doing so thinking they will actually be hit and killed with a normal bullet is silly.

Now, my 'magical' guns. They are two larger-than-normal revolvers that hold eight fat rounds, each round with a different purpose. The guns have no firing pins or trigger, as they are strictly powered by Victor's power, making them useless to anyone else should he somehow lose control of them. You can read more about their design and such in his bio, which you can find through my profile.

Now, I said all that to say this, I think: You can have a successful character that uses guns, so long as it is not his/her only weapon. To me, the guns are simply tools that accentuate his main attributes, and by playing as such I am able to successfully wield guns without pissing anyone off.

Hope that helps a little!

Haha, that is the joy of fighting tig. On the flip side, I enjoy fighting lighter attacks (oddly, tig has little experience fighting attackers of her same size and physical prowless in terms of strength and endurance. This mainly connects as she is one of the "Last" of her race, so she never truely dueled herself) as I have to constantly think around movements. In most cases (as you found out by the gauntlet motions and charge) it is difficult to strike her and survive (chances are, she'd survive a if both attackers struck at the same time, and she'd probally finish her opponent) :)

Just want to know if anyone will tell me what they think of the current fight between myself and Liquidus?

Linkage: Jidrabou Vs Shion

^_^ It's my first fight, but any tips you guys can give, etc, would be greatly appreciated.
And on the first day Man created God in his own image.

Good stuff, MoonMan, but I was a little perplexed to see you didn't attempt the first counter in the match. Even if you're standing right in front of the foe's fist, grabbing it has a result subject to the opponent's next post. Thus, you should merely say what you'll do if you get a hold of his hand.

Because yes, I'm still enough of a prick to find flaws in your work. Needless to say, I like it though.

What about me? O,O? I'm always anxious to know about me lol (I swear I'm not conceded :D) I have to break the "I want to look as cool as possible" way of fighting I think. The coolest moves may be the most foolish o.o I realize that, but I really like the feeling of doing something action movie/Manga/Anime worthy in terms of Badassness. I also fail at making a good first attack, I always make it simple to start off, and then adjust pass my opponents skill level. How's my detail? Are my attacks too predictable?

And the battle with Tig is rough, because her character has a serious defense and a powerful attack, but she sacrifices speed and agility. I wonder if they way I took damage is good? I took some good damage considering what I was attempting to escape, Plus my character is the agility and speed type with a weaker defense and power. I've never fought a really strong heavy opponent before lol It's exciting really. Having to carefully avoid getting hacked to pieces by her HUGE sword, while I can attack and evade quicker, but I can't attack head on or overpower her.

Since I've returned (Noma is going to be my account for storing new characters, since I've almost filled this one up), I'd love to actively participate in the Arena again. I most likely won't be returning to HoR, but if people judge my skill based on how many wins and how many losses I have, they should know that my real record is 6-1. The last two losses were forfeits on my behalf before I went on hiatus.

Now, that said, who's ready for some destruction and mayhem?

I was wondering about if the powers for my character were legal. Ok, so I am thinking of an OC to make. I like Star Wars, so I thought about having him have Sith Powers ( Force Choke/Pull/Push ) but, he isn't a Star Wars character. So I had the Idea, of having my character have a hole in his hand ( That would be gloved when not in battle ) that would control air pressure. Such as; If I were to thrust my arm forward ( Glove off ) I could have the air pressure increase in front of my opponent forcing them back. I'd pull my arm back to have he Air Pressure increase behind my opponent, forcing them towards me. Or I could clench my fist slowly, to have the air pressure around them immensely increase against their body from all angles, as to choke them. Now, I was wondering if that is a legal power, I know I would have to prep that, but I don't know the ruling on that, and my friends didn't know either.

You know Onikitsu,

That a unique idea in terms of using the abilities you want to place into your character but if you preferred not to have the hole there, you could just give him the direct ability to control air pressure o.o That's pretty cool to have a part of anatomy or "Non Anatomy" that controls the ability lol
