In the land of Khalrian everything seems fine on the outside. However, everyone who lives there knows of alliances and shaky truces. With a land on the brink of war, everyone is watching their backs. The fear of betrayal is ever present and the royals are giving suspicious glances at one another. There are four nobel families of the land. For this cause, the land is divided into five sanctions. To the East lie the family of Safonia. To the North, the Lakai. In the west the family of Feron and to the South lie the Zuav. The royals themselves own land int he middle of the territories. The royals have mingled blood and know it. The nobels each claim to be of true blood, decended down from the Gods. Tentions build. Lords are fighting for truces and count their men for war. One family, the Lakai, are a family of tratiors seeking the throne. They have royal blood and want the crown saying the current rulling family are frauds.

War had ensued upon the land between the familes. The Lakai has influnces in the royal family and do their best to destroy it. The Lakai family also have a son that would most likely take the throne, but does he even want it? Does he yearn for the throne and power over the land like his parents? Or is he looking beyond the crown at distant lands and adventure? His mind is young and open. His path is not set. What will he do?

Welcome to the OOC if you are still interested. In this role play characters will play as the families, soldiers, guards, and citizens if they wish. The role play is open so there is no exact script to follow. Everything is decided by us, the players. Suggestions are still being taken. Have questions? Ask them. Have an idea to help the role play? Feel free to post them. Each family has an advantage in one area, may it be military, goods, trading, or a good peice of land. It is up the lords and ladies of the families what they choose to have. The families also weild one type of magic. It cannot be too powerful and overwrite everything else. The actual swordfighting must be above the magic. Types of this power include: see the future but vaguely. heal small injuries, see the lies in other people (Taken), and others. You do not have magical attack powers. A defense, maybe. PM me and I might reconsider. The truces will also be decided during the role play. When it starts out, fights have begun to break out and there are one or two alliances. It is up to us to gain more or ruin the ones we have. There are two sides to this war. One, helping the royal family keep their throne, or, side with the Lakai family and turn traitor.

Now some guidelines. I want at least semi-literate players! Typos are understandable. No text talk. I do not want this roleplay to die so you must join to stay. THis tends to be a little fast paced so you must be able to post once or twice a day. If you are going to be gone for a while, tell me in advance. Otherwise, your character will be killed off. I am the GM and have the authority to do so if you fail to follow the rules. This is a medieval roleplay so do not bring in mondern devices and clothes.

2. you cannot kill off another player without their say so.
3. this is a war rp so your character will be hurt a few times.
4. Romance is encouraged, but doen't go past undressing. Take it to PMs.
5. Be nice to others in the OOC. Anything goes in the IC
6. There will be cursing, but do not post a curse word every line

Short Bio: Her family was killed when she was 7 years old, she took up her fathers and her mothers sword and taught herself the ways of the sword. She travel all over the world training and them she looked towards the Lakai family and offered her service and loyalty to them. She had been their personal bodyguard for a couple of years and the family now trust her with their life.

Personality: Kei is generally quite for he sees no reason for him to speak since most do not listen to what he is really trying to say thanks to his status. Unlike his parents, he does not wish for the throne. He does not shy away from obligation but he just has no desire for power. Instead, he wishes to wander around the land. Up front he seems timid which makes the rest of the family uneasy, but under all that, he is fierce and loyal to his family. He will do what it takes to help them. He is also not to be underestimated with a sword.
Short bio: Two of Kei's ancestors were born with the true royal blood thanks to affairs thus his claim to the throne. His blood is not tainted from lesser nobels and along the line he has far more royal blood than the actual rueling family. Because of this little ancestory, his parents have turned traitor and wish to raise him up. To protect him from any harm, Kei has been kept in his families holdings away from harm. The comming war however, brings with it more threat to his life. He does not wish the fall or the death of the royal family but he has no real say against his parents. If he were to even speak a single word against it, he would be silenced by his father's anger.

Personality: Eavan is to most a rather calm, levelheaded young woman who is much more observant then people take her for. She can figure out what's going on around her just by observing and listening to what others are saying or the way they act. This allows her to know more then she normally would be told, but she is very good at keeping her knowledge hidden and often acts as if she is completely oblivious just to fool others. Her secretive nature often makes people wonder just what goes on in her thoughts, but being a rather private person she never speaks what's on her mind unless it's to someone she trusts.
Being able to keep a cool persona even in the most tense of situations does give Eavan an edge over most, seeing as this allows her to think more rationally and find a solution or course of action much faster then it might take another person in the same predicament. However, she does have a fierce temper and very few dare try and cross her fury, especially considering that she is the royal princess and won't hesitate to use that status when she decides it is necessary. Despite that one flaw, Eavan does have a softer more caring side that seems to show itself more in her concern over her own family and the state of affairs between them and the other nobles. Not only that but she would love nothing more then to see the Lakai family fall for betraying them, and even turning some of the remaining nobles against them.
Short Bio: As the royal princess, Eavan was born and raised within her family's castle and from day one she has been trained as the heir and future ruler of their land. Even from a young age she was considered quite skilled as both a princess and a warrior, knowing how to both be diplomatic yet willing to fight for her kingdom if necessary. She is also a very skilled fighter and won't hesitate to defend herself when necessary.
As she grew older, Eavan began to show signs that she had some magical affinity for seeing into the future. However, this skill was rather vague and not often accurate with her vision being similiar to shimmers in the water. Some things she could see clearly as they were in the near or immediate future, while others were shadowed showing that they could change within an instant. Despite being a rather subjective skill, Eavan's ability has proven to be an advantage when she is able to see the future clearly and even if her visions are unclear she makes certain to take note of what she sees in case it becomes clearer.

I like your profile. I see a problem however that you and Yama must discuss. The princess you two have created are a little opposite. I know that Twilighter is the back up to Yama, but the princess must be the same in personality and history. Also, don't change the name. You two need to settle that and come up with one. Otherwise people will become confused. Other than that, welcome. Did you have another character you wanted to post as well, Twilighter? I wasn't sure if that was your intention or no.

And I can just switch my character so it fits her profile more, that won't be a problem. Then I can just change this profile and use it for my second character.

Personality: He appears cowardly though the truth is that he is indifferent to the war. He will run away and leave his fellow soldier to die if it means that he doesn’t have to do any dirty work. He’s also fairly greedy. He hates to hear people talk, but has an acute love of the opposite sex, so much that he is easily manipulated and blind sighted by beautiful women.
Short Bio: His father, feeling that it would be a positive influence, sent Iggey to the equivalent of a military school. While there, he developed a blatant disregard for loyalty, authority, and other’s opinions.

His father didn’t give him too much of a choice and threatened to disown him if he wouldn’t join. Being a greedy little brat, Iggey agreed and is now pretty much making a mockery of the system.

Personality: Koen is rather easygoing, but he knows what his job is and he's determined to do his best at it. His way of dealing with stress is to joke around and try to make everyone feel better, if only because he hates being serious. It reminds him of the past, and those aren't exactly memories he's fond of.
He has a good heart and knows what the most important things in life should be, so he cares a lot about the people closest to him even if he has a lot of trouble expressing it in words.
Short Bio: When Koen was five years old, his mother passed away shortly after giving birth to a pair of twins. When he was thirteen, his father abandoned them, so he has been taking care of his younger sisters on his own for seven years. They're reaching the point where they're able to take care of themselves now, so he doesn't feel too horrible about spending a lot of time working.
