I watched in silence. I was awestruck. Tears streamed down my face, not just because of what he wrote, but this time the emotions put into it. It was an eerie symphony of glass in my head, sad and terrible. As he fell to the floor and burst into tears, I was there. I leapt down to the floor beside him, being gentle, wrapping my arms around his waist and moving them up his back.
"Sh, Nate. It'll get better. I promise. I swear." I choked on my own tears. I remembered what happened in the damn place. I remember they would put voltage boxes in my room, and the sound of them running was silent to others but to me was worse than athousand nails on chalkboard. I remember bleeding from my ears from the sound.
I shuddered, pulling Nate closer. I knew what happened there. It was terrible.
"Please, neither of us will be hurt again. We've got a chance, let's use it." I whispered in his ear, my tears falling on him as his fell on me.
I didn't know exactly what to do, but I wanted him to know I was here, and I cared.
