Nate nodded slowly still in the process of calming himself down, staring at the writting on the wall he closed his eyes breathing slowly. He opened his mouth to thank Terra but only a small squeak came from his mouth. He felt safe in Terra's arms the safest he had ever been in a long while, Nate felt himself drifting of to sleep.

I noticed how this was affecting me. More than Jacob. This need to protect someone. His EM was sounding different... More softer, carrying longer, changing as I readjusted to fit more closely.
It almost sounded like a violin. I knew that if he were to be upset it would tear my mind apart, but I could only hope I could keep him calm.

"Come on Nate, you are tired, let's get to bed." I said, pulling on my legs so that I was in a crouch. Finally, I rose to a stand, holding my hands out for Nate, a smile coming across my lips.

Nate nodded finnaly breaking into a small smirk taking her hand softly and Pulling himself up quickly he stood face to face with Terra, looking away he released his grip on her hands. Walking back into the bedroom he sat on the bed before lying down and drifting of into a sleep.

I didn't know why, but I did. I moved and cut out the light and laid gently beside Nate, not touching him at all. I didn't want him to think I was a perv or something trying to make a move on him. But I just wanted him to be comforted. I wanted to comfort myself as well.
I closed my eyes, staring into the darkness barely being able to outline the shape of Nate's body as he slept.
I let my mind wander for a while, but finally drifted away into a well-needed sleep.

<<The next morning>>

Nate yawned silently stretching his arms, sitting up slowly he rubbed his eyes in a slow circular motion. Fixing the back of his hair with his fingers and sorting out the parting Nate sat in silence feeling refreshed and relax.

I groaned. I was still somewhat lost in a dream.

Darkness, buzzing, sharp crackling. As they pumped electricity into me, I shot it out with my EM field in the form of sonic booms. The glass shattered and a red alarm went off. It was the day I escaped. Running through the halls, creating large sonic booms as more tazers hit me. The people bled from their ears as I bled from mine. Rushing through the hall.
Boom.
Boom.
It never ended...

I squirmed on the bed, before lunging up with a gasp covering my ears. I shook for a minute then opened my eyes, seeing Nate beside me. I let out a rough sigh and tried to smile, somewhat failing.
"Good morning."

Nate looked at her slightly worried he smiled back "morning, are you ok?" he asked returning the smile. Turning to face her, he ran his fingers through his fringe.

My eyes ran over the words on the wall and I looked down at my knees.
"Yeah, just a bad dream..." I whispered. I wonder if he knew that I was the one who caused the electrical malfunction that let everyone escape. But at what cost? The cost of Jacob and my sanity.
My eyes wandered aimlessly as I almost began to cry, but I had to keep being strong.

I looked back up, to the ceiling, and calmed myself. Then I turned to look at Nate. I gathered a smile.
"You look better." I smiled faintly.

Nate nodded "yeah i feel a bit better today, better than yesterday" he said his voice droping a bit towards the last part of the sentence. His eyes turned to the writting on the wall. "where are we going today?" He added trying to make coversation, as his mind thought back to what he wrote. He had never had a breakdown like that before he had minor breakdowns but not one a servere as this.

I moved from the bed, going to the bathroom. I washed my face and rinsed my hair, pulling the dark red almost burgendy mess into a smooth wet pony tail. I came out of the bathroom smiling, looking a little better. My bright blue eyes contrasting greatly with the damp hair.
"We're leaving now, and we are going to Texas. We will have to make a few more stops, but it'll be fine from here on out." I smiled to him.

Nate smiled and stood up slowly wobbling slightly as he stepped on his shoelace, not really bothering to tie it up straight away, he crouched down and stuffed it down the sides. He stood up and stretching again, walking to the door and opening it. Motioning to the outside he said "after you" He smiled.

I smiled, and ran outside. Within a few minutes I had run to the lobby and returned. Ready to leave. I saw Nate and pointed to the car.
"Let's roll." I winked playfully, feeling my inner self rising out now. I ran to the car and slid into the driver's seat. Instantly the car started and the radio was on. I reached over and opened the door for Nate. Then I stormed the glove box. Inside was about a hundred dollars. It was good, we'd need it. I'd steal more soon, untracably of course...

Nate giggled slightly and jogged to the car and getting in shutting the car doo behind himr. He then proceeded to tie his shoelace back up. Stretching his legs out and crossing one over the other. Lookinng out at the horizon that seemed to be on a endless stretch.

I began to drive down the long stretch of road as it lead on into the desert. I drove like a human this time too. Foot on the pedal and hands on the wheel.
I stared out to the rising sun for hours. But eventually I drew my eyes occasionally to Nate.

"So, where do you want to go? Anywhere in mind?"

"i really have no idea, you seemed to know where your going. so i'll let you decide" Nate said suddenly bouncing back to reality. He played with his hair putting parts of hair in the right place carefully.
