I reached over, putting a hand on Nate's cheek, wiping a tear away.

"Nate breathe. Nothing will hurt you here. I won't let anything get you. What's wrong? Please Nate, maybe I can help you. Let me help you." I didn't know why I was suddenly sounding so desperate. But my mind was filled with the sound of breaking glass and I was instantly worried. I should've dealt with the buzzing. I shouldn't have attuned.

Nate's hand reached up to hers and peeled it away from his face. Shaking his head and looking down he wispered raspily "i...can't"

The breaking glass sound began crashing louder in my ears. I winced with the mental unclarity I was going through. Suddenly it was just like Jacob when his mom died. The crashing chimes of his electromagnetism ringing in my head.

I pulled my hand away and looked down.

"Please Nate, just breathe. You are safe here! I promise, I won't let anything happen, just relax."

"i told you i can't, i dont know how. im just so scared of eveyone" he confesed looking at her. Nate was never really open with his feelings the only one he really knew were sadness and pain.

I had no idea what I was doing but the chiming was dulling in my mind. I was pushing it back. Reaching deeper into Nate's hectic rhythm.

"Nate. You don't have to be afraid of me, just relax. I'll never hurt you, promise." I whispered, letting my blue eyes flicker over his distressed figure quickly.

Nate breathed slowly calming himself down. He really didn't want to tell Terra just yet because he didn't know how to tell her and he didnt want to say. his eyes met hers for a brief moment before he looked down again.

I sighed, relaxing myself a bit as well. The sound quickly became a sweet chime again, faint and almost unheard. I plopped back onto the bed with relief.

"Glad you've calmed down." I whispered. "Don't worry, it's bad for you. It becomes a habit far too easily."

Nate nodded slowly not wanting to answer eyes remaining on the floor, he brought his kness to his chest and hugged them.

I had to find something else to talk about.

"What... is your favorite movie?" I asked softly, looking at Nate, wondering why he was so timid and afraid.

"Probably the simpsons movie" Nate answerd thinking. resting his chin on his kness he looked at the wall.

I leaned up and sat in the same position as him.

"Ok." I brushed my golden red hair behind my ears.
"What is your favorite band?"

"Hawthorne Heights" he answered. Intwining his hands together he breathed deeply.

I got comfortable and leaned back onto the bed.

"Do you... Have any friends?" I asked.

OOC: ITs short but I was getting wayyy pissed lol.

Nate shook his head. He used to have friends but they'd probably knew him as dead or moved to a different place.

"That's a lie." I began, with a little laugh, leaning up to look at him.

"You think I'd be sitting in here with you if I weren't your friend?"

"i meant beside you" he replied looking at her.

I looked up at him. Then, the lights began to flicker. My eyes wandered to the source of the buzzing in my head as the lights blinked. Finally, my eyes glowed a bit. I had no choice but to stop it before it was too much. The lights glowed brightly before going out.

"Nate, relax, I'm here, it's just a power out or something." I whispered, searching for Nate's hand in the darkness. Following the smooth chime of his field until my fingers crawled over his.

Nate jumped slightly as the lights went out and flinched when Terra touched his hand. He breathed in shakily and slid slowly off his bed, landing softly on the ground he clamped his hands over his ears trying to block everything out.

I gingerly touched Nate's shoulder.

"Please calm down dear, please." I whispered, doubting he could hear me with his hands on my ears.

Then several sharp buzzes flew into my hearing. The people, from the facility. They had found us! I turned sharply, then switched back to face Nate in the darkness. I grabbed his hand and pulled it from his ear.

"Shh, stay close, I'll keep you safe. Promise."

Nate's hand latched onto her hand quickly, he knew something was wrong. Fear and paranoia suddenly washed over him.
