Tundram (would like some people) ( )

Postby nightwolf on Wed Jul 23, 2008 12:49 pm

[EDIT:if this is in the wrong section i apologise}

Right so this is a Maximum Ride type RP, those of you who have read either of the maximum ride books will know about the flock and their amazing adventures anyway back to the RP.

There was a place similar to The School which children of all ages where kidnapped and taken to an unknown location were they fell victim to horrific experiments. Some died others were rescued this is their story.

So it may seem confusing but all will fall into place.

This RP follows a small group of teens who were rescued and placed in a large house where they are safe, for the time being.
All the teens have powers for example wings, telekenises, defying gravity the choice is endless.
but there are serious side effects to their powers some worse than others ranging from severe headaches, to black outs.

( if you wish you can create a photograph portfolio of your character to show their style of clothing)

so here's the bio format:

Name(12-19):
Age:
Gender:
Power:
Side-effect/illness:
Extra (if you wish):
Personality:
Appearance(picture or description):

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Bio:

Name(12-19): Nate Crimson
Age: 17
Gender:Male
Power: Defying gravity
Side-effect/illness: Nate suffers from severe headache which occasionally cause him to faint. He also suffers from Emotional distress which makes him shy and nervous almost all of the time. He is jumpy and paranoid fearing that he will be taken back to Tundram.
Extra (if you wish): His headaches can be stopped or calm down depending on the seriousness of the headache by either pills or a needle.
Appearance(picture or description):ImageImageImage
..feel like hell but it's worth it to be back again, So step it up a little higher,Can we just pass through the day,'Cause I'm in awe of everything I see your way, So maybe if we discover why the love hurts, you'll never wanna leave,'Cause now I'm always breaking down,It always brings me down,I never want to be dreaming over it,And living life like this, You're never coming back today...

Name: Mercedes

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Power: Mind reading, in some form or another.

Side-effect/illness: Vomiting.

Personality: Stays mostly to herself, Mercy trusts no one. Is generally shy and self-sufficient, relying on only her own abilities to get her by. Life hasn't treated her kindly, and it shows.

Appearance: Mercy is of average height, and is exceedingly thin due to the side effects of her 'gift'. An accident in early childhood has left her blind in both eyes, and her other senses have combined to give her an interesting sense of sight. Skin is normally a beautiful golden tan, as she often sits in the sunshine, but due to her time in captivity, it is lessening. Eyes, when not concealed by lids or lenses are a startling violet white, pupils in-tact but unseeing. Her hair is her saving grace, her face plain aside from lips. The raven strands fall past her waste when she cares to let it down, normally up in a tight bun to avoid getting caught on things unseen. Cheekbones are high, nose slightly tipped up, and those lips. Ruby red and lush, the work of an artist.
" Imperceptibly as we wake or sleep,
We grow strong or weak,
Until at last some crisis shows us
What we have become."

The sunlight through the window pane was enough to warm her soul this morning. A small, delicate hand lifted pressed itself to the cool glass, head lifted up to greet the bringer of the morning. Cushions in the window seat provided enough comfort in the cramped space to keep her from moving just yet. Eyes were wide open to the light, not that any of it was seen. She remembered sunsets and books, her own childish face in the mirror. But those memories had started to fade for her now, more than ten years later. Mercedes knobby knees were drawn not quite to her chest, a book open in her lap. Those artistic hands flipped another page, ears keen for the sound of the cracking of another page. No longer could she read, but still there was a strange relief in just the smell and the feel of bound paper. Books still existed, even if her sight did not.

Mercy took another deep breathe of air, before carefully climbing out of her nest, setting the book on the table, as she always did. Rituals made her feel normal, this one in particular. Up before the rest of the house, and even without eyes she knew the moment the sun slipped up over the hills to kiss the sky with magnificent colors. Generally nimble on her feet, her legs carried her to the hall, ears in tune for any who might be waking. She would need to be back in her room before anyone saw her. Pajamas were not the most flattering of looks, especially in a camisole and sweats. It didn't matter that she could not see her appearance, only that other's could.

So down the steps she would go to her simple room to change and groom. At least, that was the plan. But someone else had come this way today, and the rug had been disturbed. Which sent her headlong down the steps, unable to clutch nothing but air on her way down. No sound was made to alert others, much more willing to have herself bumped and bruised than have anyone else touch her. Mercedes hair was down this morning, and it made a glorious sight in the sun, each strand of raven seeming to catch the light as it flew out behind her. Blind eyes squeezed tight, bracing herself for the hard edges of the steps she was about to be familiarly acquainted with.

Nate was walking in the same corridor that Mercedes was walking in, his head was low and he walked at a quicked pace. He moved to the side of the corridor to allow her to pass and continued to walk. He finnaly found himself in the large lounge area sitting down on a sofa he ran his fingers through his charocal coloured hair.

It was Nate passing that had startled her into tripping over the rug in the first place. Shortly after he dissapeare,d the disconcerted Mercy took a headlong flight down the steps. It wasn't too terribly long later that she found herself bounding onto the cold hard floor, knocking her noggin quite solidly, not to mention her shoulders, ribs, and knees. Still there was no sound made from her other than that of her flesh connecting with the carpet, nor would there be anytime soon. She lay there catalogging her bumps and bruises, the worst of which being her ribs. Thank God it had been a short fall, and not a full set of stairs.

It took her a few minutes to get up fully, finding it a wee bit difficult to breathe. Standing unsteadily, a hand on the wall to the right of her, she shuffled her feet, heading to her room, just a few doors down and then she would be safe. Already she could feel things swelling, and firmly hoped everyone hadn't heard, and would leave her be. God forbid someone touch her. Slender fingers rubbed against the wallpaper, leading her home as she counted the steps. Six, seven, eight. A few more to go. The sound of a door opening had her freezing in her tracks, arms covering her chest instinctivly, weaving where she stood to try and hear where her 'companion' was, and where they were headed. Head tilted, lavender eyes open even as her ears strained for the slightest sound.

Nate's head turned sharply to where the sound had appeared from. He wimperd as he thought about all the possibilities of what the noise could be and what could happen to him if he went to investigate it. Nate sat stifly, his silvery eyes fixated on the place where the noise had come from, rubbing his sweaty palms together rapidly he breathed quickly as his mind leapt over different conclusions.

Re: Tundram (would like some people) ( )

My bed was soft beneath me, warm from my body heat. The tiny speakers pumped the music into my ears, I loved it, moments like this.

What if you did?
What if you lied?
What if I avenge?
What if eye for an eye?
What if your words could be just like they cry?
What if?

The guitar and drums broke into my mind with the voice of Scott Stapp, a long faded singer.
My arms folded back and I rested my head softly over them, careful of the chords coming from my ears.
I let a sigh brush through my barely parted lips. I was tired. I had not left my room since I left. It was too overwhelming an experience.
Every person giving off an electromagnetic field, waves thrashing through the air. I could feel them come and go, feel when they stressed or relaxed. It was hard to feel such because I need a slightly stronger electric signal to latch onto, but it is an annoying pester to my everyday existance. The slight buzz of passing people. That's why I stayed away, or with my iPod plugged in. I could always clog my hearing with the sound of music. I had to have the volume fairly moderate or loud to block out the buzz of the iPod itself.
But my throat was dry. I had run out of Vitamin Waters stashed in the cool box under my bed. I had to leave sooner or later. Confront the whizzing people, and the static of eletronics which no one lived without.
The song changed. It had been playing something new for a minute or two now.

Fading for us,
escape these orders,
so love inside,
and see,
they lie...

...Say I...

I lifted myself from the bed, brushing my hand over the white tank top, a wife beater, and letting my fingers dwindle on the pendant of a music symbol. Smooth and silver, a gift from my mom.
I stood, brushing the coppertone hair behind me, bundling it at the back of my neck and letting go.
I rested my head back with a desperate sigh as my thumbs snuggled into my pockets and my fingers pressed against the "Broken Heart" belt buckle.
Another deep breath and I was ready for escape. For hydration to quench my thirst. And then I would return. A straight trip.

I stepped out of my room, carefully shutting the door. I couldn't hear anything around me but the music booming in my ears. I carefully walked down the hall, and down the stairs into the kitchen. Looking at the back, 2nd shelf, I found one last Vitamn Water. Triple X- my favorite flavor. Pomegrante and acai.
I grasped at it, feeling the tingle of electricity interacting with my own natural EM field. Mine was stronger than most. Not good. I got a buzzing sensation running into my mind, and I yanked the bottle out and slammed the door, touching my head. I hated that. Everytime.
There was no escape. God wanted me to live in a meadow and pick daisies. But instead, fate put me in a world where everything has it's own distinct buzz and signal.
I would not get away.

I just tried to make my way back up the stairs hastily, trying not to drop the bottle as the headache quickly faded.

Emotions were easy to feel, especially when sent out so strongly. And for a fear and panic to run so deep, she could only assume that it was Nate, upset about something. Panic attacks were a common thing around here. Nothing like locking up a bunch of gifted kids in one house to get the uneasiness and tension going. Mercy shook her head, conscious of another passing nearby, though her thoughts remained to herself. Some people were simply easier to read than other's. For now, the slender girl let herself curl against a wall, after knocking into a table, which probably had put Nate into yet another fright. She didn't know where she was. And for a blind person, that was never a comfortable feeling. For now, she worked on another's fear instead of her own.

" It's alright. I just fell. Nothing's wrong, it's Mercedes. I tripped and took a crash on the steps, then knocked into a table. Nothing to be afraid of honey. "

Her raspy voice would carry up to him she knew, that boy seemed to have ears better than a fox. For now though, her head whipped about as she caught something in the vision she no longer had. This one glowed like a candle in a cave, powerful and beautiful. What had been her name.... she couldn't remember. But Mercy did know that whomever it was, she had not been acquainted with the young woman headed her way. Eyes gazed in the general direction of the way she had gone, waiting to catch the light again. When it reappeared, she gave a little wave.

" Mind helping me find the steps? I seem to be turned around. "

Nate's body relaxed at the sound of Mercedes' voice he slowly to his gaze of the door and looked to the floor. Closing his eyes for a few moments he slowed his breathing down in an attempt to calm himself down. This sometimes took a few minutes due to his fragile state.

Bringing his kness slowly to his chest and wrapping his arms around them, Nate kept his eyes on the floor.

Pandrax stood in his room, donning the armor he had found during his many travels. The armor was multi-colored, showing that they are of different sets. He hooked his bone swords on his back and walked into the hall, his arms at his sides. He walked down the stairs and looked down a hall. He saw two double doors at the end of it. He walked down the hall at a steady pace and pushed them open with one hand. He walked into the room, seeing that it was a gym. He walked around inside it, pondering what he should do.

A buzz tore into my speakers. The music glitched a bit. I was reacting to the EM fields of others.
Reaching the top of the stairs, I saw two people. I was stopped, emotionless as I looked upon them. One girl appeared blind. Her EM field was shrinking and expanding in odd patterns, I couldn't recognize what she was doing. The boy had a nervousness about him. He was buzzing in my head without knowing he was.

"Ugh." I whispered, putting a hand lightly over my forehead. The sounds I was all too use to, the ones I tried to escape.

My eyes opened up, their indigo radiance flitting over them and down the hall to my room.
I reached into my pocket and spun my finger over the iPod, turning the volume up higher to Flyleaf as I stepped past them.
Everytime this happened, it left me walking slowly, breathing heavily, lips meshed into what might be confused for anger. It was just me, trying to ease through the noises in my heads. The noises of a world where everything was electric in some way or another.

A lone figure sat in the music room, her slender fingers gilding with ease over the polished keys of the piano as she played. Her deep, ocean-green eyes were closed tightly in concentration as, slowly, she removed her hands from the keys. With a satisfied smile, she opened her eyes and watched as the piano continued to play, seemingly by it's self.

Niamh had always struggled to control her telekinesis in the past, and it filled her with a sense of great pride to be able to use it so freely now. She jerked her head to the side, flicking her fringe out of her eye, and then let the music fade out to silence. She felt a little drained already, but was convinced that the more she practised, the easier it would get.

Taking a deep breath, she began to play again, her fingers once again gliding effortlessly across the keys in a sequence of chords and notes that eventually grew into a song she knew and loved. Unable to hold it in any longer, she let her soft, melancholy voice ring out through the building.

"I always needed time on my own,
I never thought I'd need you there when I cry
And the days feel like years when I'm alone
And the bed where you lie is made up on your side

When you walk away I count the steps that you take
Do you see how much I need you right now

When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too
When you're gone
The words I need to hear to always get me through the day and make it ok
I miss you

I've never felt this way before
Everything that I do reminds me of you
And the clothes you left, they lie on the floor
And they smell just like you, I love the things that you do

When you walk away I count the steps that you take
Do you see how much I need you right now

When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too
When you're gone
The words I need to hear to always get me through the day and make it ok
I miss you

We were made for each other
Out here forever
I know we were, yeah
All I ever wanted was for you to know
Everything I'd do, I'd give my heart and soul
I can hardly breathe I need to feel you here with me, yeah

When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too
When you're gone
The words I need to hear to always get me through the day and make it ok
I miss you......"

Nate looked up quickly as he heard music knowing that the music room was above the place where he was sitting, He got up slowly and followed the sound, moving silently up the stairs he poked his head around the door and watch Niamh play. His hand reached up to his hair and adjusted it to cover half of his face.

Part way through the bridge, Niamh heard the door creak gently open, followed by the gentle footsteps of someone walking in. Not stopping the song, she used her powers to close the door behind them without looking up.

As the song ended, she turned her head toward her small audience and broke into a soft smile as she saw Nate stood there.
"Hey there darlin'.." She said, her subtle Irish accent barely noticeable. "What was goin' on down there? sounded like a bleedin' elephant took a tumble." She said, referring to the crash when Mercedes had fallen earlier.
