Claire awoke on the morning of the first day of school. She glanced out her window, and grimaced. Rain. Again. She crawled out of bed, and walked to the bathroom, grabbing her bathrobe as she walked out of the room. She climbed into the shower, and took a quick shower. When she stepped out of the shower, the whole bathroom smelled of her favorite smell, peppermint. She pulled her robe around her small body, and wrapped her curly hair in a pure white towel that hung on the door of the shower. She walked back into her room, and shifted through the clothes in her closet. She pulled out her favorite pair of faded light blue jeans, and pulled them on under her robe. She grabbed a shirt at random, and walked back to the bathroom. She pulled her hair out of the towel, and hung the towel back up, then pulled the shirt on quickly. She looked down at her outfit. She had on her jeans, and a black shirt with blue stripes almost the exact color of her eyes. She gazed at her reflection in the foggy mirror, and smiled slightly. She blow-dried her hair quickly, then grabbed a barrette and pinned a large chunk of hair back behind her ear. If it was pinned back, it wouldn't be hanging in her face. She shook her head, missing the hair that usually hung in her face, and reached up to pull it out. She grabbed her toothbrush, and brushed her teeth as she walked around her room, grabbing her things and stuffing them into a black bag with peace signs all over it. When she finished, she placed the bag on her newly-made bed and rinsed her mouth of the toothpaste in the sink of her bathroom. She walked out and pulled on a pair of black ballet flats. They had ribbons on them, in a bow on her toes. She smiled, then ran down the stairs. "What's for breakfast?" She asked as she plopped into her usual seat at the counter. Her mom was, yet again, in her pajamas and cooking breakfast. She was on the phone. She covered the mouthpiece and turned to Claire. "Scrambled eggs and bacon," Her mom smiled weakly. "You look nice," She smiled as she looked down at Claire's outfit. Claire smiled, and gave her mom a thumbs up, knowing she should get back to her conversation. Claire sat in silence for a minute, until her mom set a plate of scrambled eggs in front of her, then handed her a fork. Claire accepted it, smiling slightly, then dug into her food. "I get to use the car today, right?" Claire asked once her mom got off the phone. Claire's plate was almost completely empty, but she pushed it away, and leaned back, her hands resting on her stomach. "Aren't you going to finish it?" Her mom asked. "And yes," Her mom replied. "Nope. Too full. I told you, I don't eat much when I'm nervous," Claire said, as a reminder. "I have to go," She said, getting up. Claire ran back upstairs, and grabbed her bag off her bed. She ran back downstairs, and saw her mom coming out of the kitchen. "If you want the car, the keys are sorta necessary," Her mom said, smiling a weary smile. She tossed the keys to Claire, and she caught them easily. "See ya after school!" Claire called, then raced out the door so she would be on time to meet her friends at school.

She wonders "Why?" Does anyone ever hear her when she cries? This is the dark before the dawn. The storm before the peace. Don't be afraid, the seasons change.

Sophie sat up from her bed. The dull sky made her room even worse, white walls, wooden floors, dark blue bed sheet, a desk, a couple shelves, and all of her sports equipment lying in a corner. She sighed, she honestly didn't care much about her room. She limped to the bathroom, her baggy red plaid pants swung around her leg as her legs moved and her volleyball t-shirt was all wrinkley and disgusting. She had pulled a leg muscle very bad in dance and it hurt a lot. But she had refused crutches or any thing else so now she would have to limp to all of her classes. She brushed her teeth and washed her face and got in the shower. The warm water soothed her sore and pulled muscles and she sighed with relief. Then she stepped out of the shower carefully, so as not to put any wait on her leg. Then she hopped to her very small closet, a dark blue towel, the same color as her eyes, wrapped around her slim body. She picked out a pair of gray sweats and a white long sleeved shirt with a white tanktop under it and the word HOLLISTER in dark red across her chest. She had to look nice for the first day of school. She then moved to the coolest part of her room, the rotating closet which held all of her prized tennishoes. She pushed a red button and the closet rotated as she picked the one that would "match her outfit". Finally she picked her Micheal Jordin airs, the white with red heal and toe. She loved those, then she noticed a scuff in it and she grabbed her scuffing towel that hung right next to the button and rubbed very quickly, making the scuff go away. She then walked over to her drawers and grabbed a pair of spandex. She slipped on her spandex then the sweatpants, rolling them down to the middle of her butt, her spandex covered the rest of her butt, it made them look baggy which she liked. She slipped on both of her shirts and finally her shoes, she stuffed the front part of her sweat pants into the tongue of the shoe. "Okie dokie then." she said slapping her thighs and hobbling over to her bag. She grabbed her keys and her wallet out and stuffed them into the extremely large pockets of her sweats. The key's maroon, blue, and white lanyard, those where the colors of her volleyball team, hung outside of the pocket just the way she liked it. She hobbled down stairs and grabbed a gronola bar and walked out. Her brother had gone to school already and her dad wasn't home, as usual. She walked into the garage and saw her ordinary red car sitting there. "Hey baby missed me?" she said smiling. She patted the front of the car and got in, pulling the keys out of her pocket and shoving it in. She backed out and headed to school, she was ready.
And God Created Woman.
And She was Good.
And she had two arms, two legs and three breasts.
And God asked woman what she would like to have changed about herself.
And she asked for her middle breast to be removed.
And it was good.
And she stood with her third breast in her hand
And asked God what should be done with the useless boob.
And God created man.

Kerra sat in her room. She had just got out of the shower and now she was looking at her clothes to see what she was going to wear today. Finally, she got up and walked to her closet. Grabbing a pair of black skinny jeans, and a hot pink shirt that said Mayday Parade in purple and green letters. She pulled them on and slipped on her coverse. Making her way back to her bathroom she smiled at her kitty cat. He followed her to the bathroom. Kerra put her towel over the shower and then turned the water on in the sink and began brushing her teeth. Once she was done with her teeth she grabbed her eyeliner and eyeshadow and put it around her eyes and then grabbed the blow dryer and straightner. She blow dryed her hair halfway as she waited for the straightner to finish getting hot. Once it was she picked it up and began straightening her hair. Once she was done with that she smiled and went back to her room. She grabbed her hoodie, To Write Love On Her Arms, and put it on. Next she grabbed her messanger bag and made sure she had everything she needed for school in there. Once she did she put the strap over her shoulder and grabbed her cellphone and ipod and put those in there too. Lastly she grabbed the keys to her black Volkswagon Bug. She made her way downstairs and out the front door. She clicked a button on her car keys and her front lights blinked and she opened the car door. Getting in she put her bag in the passanger seat and took her ipod out. Plugging it into the little iHome and turned it on. She smiled when one of her favorite songs came on. She started her car and headed to school.
Take the knife and twist it.
Where's my heart? You missed it.
And you know I don't wanna die,
But baby you insist it.
Breathing is a luxury that I just shouldn't have.
My heart just keeps on beating, and it's more then you can stand.

Ryan sat in a tree not to far away from his house. His head resting on his hand he thought, about many things. "Ryan!" Ryan whipped his head to see his "older" brother James calling his name from the roof of their gigantic house. Ryan hissed and jumped from the tree landing lightly and quickly running to his house. He slid to a halt and stared up at his brother, "What?" he asked, very annoyed. "You don't want to miss your "first" day of school do you?" James smirked at Ryan. Ryan hissed and disappeared to his room where he changed into a tight dark gray shirt, dark blue pants, and white tennishoes. In a flash he was in the garage starting his car, a silver porsche. He started the car and backed out of the long driveway towards Forks High School.

Tick. Tick.
Alex flipped the page of the book, the periodic ticking of his clock sounding in his ears. He had read this book time and time again, yet it never got old. He stepped towards the grand mahogany book shelf that took up most of the wall in his bedroom, placing the book carefully in its place, brushing his fingers across the spin gently. Romeo and Juliet. He had never been quite sure why Shakespeare appealed so much to him, it just did.
The sound of light, dancing steps floated to his ears, and no sooner did he turn around to see Maria in the doorway. Her dainty little features were wreathed in a smile, and her golden tresses were artfully piled atop her head with a few pieces hanging down.
"Are you excited?" she asked enthusiastically, skipping towards him.
"For what?"
"The first day of school, silly!"
He gave her a withering look, sitting down on the couch. He'd gone to school thousands upon thousands of times as a junior, never moving forward to graduate. That was rather disappointing to him, as he'd always wanted to graduate and go to university.
Maria frowned. "I'm going to get dressed, and when I get back here you had better be happier." She gave him a stern look, and then disappeared. There was just enough time for Alex to let out a breath when she returned, fully dressed in skinny jeans and an expensive looking cashmere sweater.
"You're not smiling." she pouted, and he plastered on an obviously forced sort of grimacey smile.
"That's better." Maria grinned, and was gone again.
Alex sighed sitting on the couch situated in the far corner of his room. The east wall was entirely glass, so that he could see out over the lake. The sky was overcast of course, and a light drizzle was falling.
He glanced at the clock. 8:12. Might as well get dressed. he thought grudgingly. This process took no more than 5 seconds, and a couple seconds later he was standing in the kitchen, fully garbed in casually stylish jeans and a polo. Maria bought everyone in the family's clothes, she couldn't live through having to be seen with them if they weren't fashionable enough.
"Morning, Alex." Tia was sitting at the coffee table, looking as lovely as ever. Her sandy waves were let loose, tumbling down her shoulders as she smiled warmly at her adopted son.
"Good morning, Tia." he responded, smiling genuinely back. If there was anyone that could get his topaz gaze to melt it was her maternal actions.
Lacey was sitting across from Tia, dressed just as trendily as Maria. Her ebonite locks were tied into a ponytail so that they spilled over one shoulder.
"Hello, Alex." she said formally, not looking up.
"Lacey." He said just as curtly. They had not been on good terms since a little scrap they had over when everyone was hunting.
Maria had entered the room finally, grinning. "Morning, everyone." she greeted them, bubbly as ever. "Alex and I had better get going."
He groaned inwardly.
"We'll take the Saab." He muttered, making a move for the keys. Maria beat him to it, however, frowning.
"Can't we take the Ferrari?" she whined.
He rolled his eyes, huffing. "As if we don't already call enough attention to ourselves." he said sarcastically, gesturing to his and Maria's appearance.
"Fine." She scowled, snatched the keys and headed out the door. I followed, and in mere seconds we were in the navy Saab, racing along the damp road towards Forks High.

Claire smiled as she climbed into the nice black car. She had convinced her mom to buy it. Like her mom would ever use it. Claire started the car, and pulled out of the driveway. She drove up the hill, then down to the Main Street. She made her way down it, going just below speed limit, and parked in the parking lot of Forks High. She climbed out of the car she figured must now belong to her, since her mom would never need it, let alone use it, and slung her bag over her shoulder. She pulled the hood up on her jacket, and ran to the overhang in front of the doors. People were already gathering there, greeting their friends they hadn't seen in forever. Claire scanned the crowd, searching for her friends's familiar faces. Where were they? She waited at the very corner, staring down at the parking lot. They must be here soon, school starts in 5 minutes! She rose up onto her tip-toes, trying to see over some people who had just blocked her way. Why did she have to be so short? And why did her friends take so long?

Kerra pulled into Forks High parking lot. She spotted Claire's car and pulled up beside it, leaving the other side for Sophie. Getting out she grabbed her messanger bag and slung it over her shoulder as she put her keys in her hoodie pocket. Everyone was rushing past everyone giving one another slaps on the backs or quick hugs before making their way into the school to get to class. Kerra spotted the new freshmen girls who as usual dressed really slutty. The freshmen who were now Sophomores, seemed to dress more school appropriate but still somewhat on the sleezy side. Kerra shook her head as she continued walking. She was pretty short for a Junior, probably the shortest one in her class. She spotted Claire though and smiled. "Claire!" she called, waving her arm as she walked over to one of her best friends.

"Kerra!" Claire exclaimed joyously, then pushed her way through the small crowd to reach one of her best friends. "I missed you!" Claire said, giving Kerra a hug. Claire had the hood to her jacket up again. "Let's get back under the overhang so we don't get soaked before school started. We can go inside as soon as Sophie gets here," Claire pulled Kerra back under to the spot Claire had been in before. It was surprising that no one had taken it. Claire stood back on her tip-toes, searching for the remaining member of the group. "Sophie takes forever," Claire complained aloud.

Kerra laughed as Claire pulled her back under the overhang. She didn't mind getting wet. Okay that was a little lie. She looked around. "Maybe you should text her." she said looking over at Claire. "She'd more likely answer your text then mine." she said. Sophie had always been closer to Claire. Kerra shook the thought off. "So how was the rest of your break, that we didn't spend together." Kerra asked with a smile as she also looked for Sophie.

Claire nodded to Kerra's suggestion. She pulled her sidekick from the back pocket of her jeans, then started texting on the full, mini keyboard. It was just telling Sophie to hurry up. She pressed SEND, then put her phone away. "Mostly just hung around my house, and the park. Nothing exciting," Claire shrugged, looking to Kerra. "You?" She asked. She hated small talk. She wanted Sophie to get here, so they could start finding other Juniors and seeing how they changed over the summer. And go inside, where it was warm. Claire gave an involuntary shiver as a drop of water fell on her now-uncovered head. "I don't like the corner anymore," Claire murmured to herself as she reached up and wiped the water from her curly hair. She gathered the thick hair and pulled it all, except for her cheek-long sidebangs, behind her shoulders. It fell immediately back to where it had been, and Claire was grateful. It helped her keep warm.

~Nathan Syke, the Werewolf~

Slowly, his deep and rich brown eyes cracked open, the dark ceiling above him. It was extremely hot in the room, regardless the open windows and cool breezes carrying distant hazes of drizzle. At the foot of his bed, was a beautiful creature, larger than normal, and with sparkling eyes of dark blue and rich earthen brown. It was his sister, the wolf. She had a human form too- one that looked like a goddess with full curves and a lean height. But Nina wasn't social, strangely, and Nathan just left it at that.

He lifted his broad bronze arm, stroking his long callous fingers into the soft black fur and smiling a big white smile as his crimped hair fell black along his high and strong cheeks.

"Good morning Nina." He said to his sister as she raised her head and nuzzled his hand with a throaty growl of playful affection...

He slipped out of bed, moving to his closet and grabbing a pair of pants and a long-sleeve- though in all honesty, the cold was never a worry with Nathan. His body temperature was beyond a fever, but it was tastefully warm and abundant.
Nina slipped out of bed, gliding to her room with soft thuds resounding from her black padded feet. Hearing her let out a long human yawn, Nathan knew she had changed back.

He buttoned his dark blue jeans, and pulled a belt through the loops to hold the somewhat loose figures up on his broad waist. Gripping the black "Taboo" shirt, he slipped it over his head and pushed his arms through. Sadly enough, the shirt had such a fit that it seemed to bring attention to the strong definition of his body. But he cared not for the attention.

Nathan moved to his bed, putting on socks and Timberland boots, and then laying back.

"Brush your teeth and eat breakfast, we're leaving soon." Nina said, with the most impossible slight smile on her full lips. Her face was elegantly sculpted with a soft overlay of light brown skin, and her hair was silky black and straight with razored edges falling at her shoulders. Her body was embellished in a white long-sleeve and a tan corduroy jacket, and jeans. She too, wore Timberland boots, but that was just because they allowed easier travel through the woods when in human form. Regardless though, she walked smoothly down the stairs and into the kitchen, fixing up oatmeal for the two.

With a sigh, Nathan smiled, lifting off the bed and combing his hair before adhering to his sister's demands...

-----------------------

An hour later, it was a bit early, but close to time for school. Nina slipped into her black Durango, and Nathan sat in the passenger seat. It seemed impossible, but in a short while, they were there; at school.

Nina slipped out with her backpack, and slid through the crowd of oogling boys and envious girls, as she went onwards to her little click of wolven boys in the lobby.

Nathan had gotten out, locked the doors, and sighed. With him, he carried a long black case on his back. That, with his bookbag of course. The black case was easily defined as a guitar case, and atop the corner was a dark grey beanie. Pulling it off the case's corner, he slipped it atop his head and folded the edge up so it didn't cover his soft and calming eyes.

Taking a deep breath, and throwing a smile onto his full lips, Nathan walked forth, into the crowd and out of the light rain.
One who knows nothing, can understand nothing.

Nova was... extremely comfortable. The comforting thrum of rain lulled her from outside her window and there was a faint kind of glow comming from it. She snuggled deeper into her covers, squinting through one eye at her clock. 7:45...

7:45???

"Shit! ShitShitShitShitShit I cannot be late today!" she screeched as she exploded from her bed, her comforter and pillows strewn in her wake. She careened into the bathroom, thankful that she had already showered and ironed and laid out her clothes the night before. She brushed her teeth in a hurry, glaring at her hair the entire time. There would be no taming it today, she could sense it in the air. She spit into the sink, washed out her mouth and darted back into her room, her father's calls floating after her to watch her language. She ignored them in her frenzy.

She managed to find a relatively nice headband and she brushed her hair and pulled it back, throwing in on her clothes, a simple white A-line skirt and light green blouse, and slipped her feet into a low pair of strappy lime green heels. She threw her cell phone into her bag, along with a folder full of paper and a book or two, and jerked it up onto her shoulder, flying down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"Morning, Kid. Where's the fire?" her father chuckled over his coffee, offering her a full plate complete with eggs, toast, bacon, and hash browns. Nova grimaced and grabbed the toast off of the top.

"Morning, dad, I'm late, Why didn't you wake me up? I think my alarm clock is broken. Sorry about the cuss fest. I gotta go. Love you, BYE!" She said all of this in a rushed stream around the toast she had jammed in her mouth, all the while careening throughout the kitchen, grabbing up her keys. She waved as she made it out the door and down the driveway into her new baby, a gorgeous black jeep with a few dents and scratches that she loved all the more. She drove just a little too fast into the parking lot of Forks High School. She spotted Claire's and Kerra's cars and pulled into a spot across from them. She hopped out of the car happily and made her way over to her friends under an alclove.

"God, I barely made it. I woke up exactly ten minutes ago. Sophie's even later than I am?" she asked breathlessly. As she spoke, she was aware of Nathaniel Syke walking past, and she felt her cheeks heat. Luckily, her dark skin hid the blush well. She pulled her hair forward self-consciously anyway.

"God! You did that in 10 minutes?" Claire asked, looking down at Nova's outfit. "Good job!" Claire hugged Nova in greeting. "It took me an hour to look like this, and I still look bad!" Claire complained. "And yes, Sophie still isn't here. But she should get here soon, or she is going to be late," Claire said, a smile flashing across her petite features. Claire saw Nova looked a little distracted, and followed her gaze. "Nathan Syke? Good taste," Claire whispered after Nathaniel had walked out of hearing distance, "and I don't think he could tell you blushed." Claire giggled, poking her friend playfully in the arm. She knew her friends as well as she knew herself. "So, any guys catch your eye, Kerra?" Claire asked, turning to her other friend. She was very quiet. Might as well catch up on gossip while they were waiting for Sophie, Claire thought. And either Sophie already knew this, or they would spend all Study Hall talking about it, just like last year, when Sophie had been last here, again.

Alex pulled up to the school, and Maria hopped out of the car almost instantly. He was slowler to step out of the car, giving his wet, golden hair a shake, only to get it soaked again as he stepped into the drizzle. He sighed, watching as Maria gave him a wave and skipped off to her friends, greeted warmly by the crowd.
"Hi Jamie, hey Wilson, oh my gosh, hi Serena!"
Alex listened with a grimace as his "sister" greeted her group. Maria was sweet, but she was reckless. What if she lost control? What if one of her friendships ended badly because of it? That would affect the whole family, and it would be a heck of a lot of work to cover it up.
He sighed, trying to smooth the grimace on his face as he entered the throng. He was met by the familiarly tantalizing scents of all of the students' blood, mingling around him. He took one deep breath, making his throat burn, and stopped inhaling. Hopefully no one would notice.
Alex watched as two familiar girls walked by, giggling and chatting. As they passed, they gave him nervous looks, quickening their steps. He grinned. Ever since his "freshmen year" at this school-seeing as he'd already done it hundreds of times before-he'd been known as the anti-social, freaky brother of Maria. Of course. He stifled a laugh, and strode under the over hang, leaning against the cool concrete of the wall a good distance away from everyone else.

Claire gazed around, trying to find a boy who had caught the attention of Kerra. "Is it him? No...him," Claire continued to guess, but she knew she had gotten it wrong. Again. Kerra was just so hard for her to figure out, even though she could usually figure out people she knew easily. "Or..." Claire's voice carried off, seeing a boy [Alex] break through the crowd to go stand alone against the wall. She froze. She hadn't remembered him from last year, but he looked familiar. Who was he? Claire's pale skin flushed pink, and she was immediately grateful for her thick hair, covering her face. She reached her hand up instinctively, then started to twirl a curl around her manicured finger. Only Sophie, and her mom, knew this was something she did when she was nervous. And right now, she felt she could be doing it with every single one of her fingers, and about 15 more. Why did she suddenly feel so nervous? She ignored the butterflies in her stomach, then went back to guessing a boy for Kerra. "Him?" She asked. Her voice was perfectly even, and still had a happy tone to it. Good, Claire thought. She put a smile on her face. No one would ever know that she was nervous, or that the smile was fake. She was just really good at faking smiling, because she always smiled so much. "Or him?" Claire pointed to another guy. "Or is it him?" Claire pointed out yet another guy. She sighed. "Can't you just tell me?" She turned to Kerra, a pleading look on her face. "Please?" Claire begged. She stuck her lower lip out, and put a puppy-dog face on her petite features. "I promise I won't tell him," Claire added, just for good measures.

Nova ducked her head and felt her face get hotter. "Shut up" she hissed, ducking her head slightly. "There is not taste involved. And he did not catch my eye! I just... felt warm for a moment there..." she finished lamely. Perfect. That would never fly.

"Anyway, Claire, let Kerra have her secret man. Mystery makes the imaginary relationship more interesting... not that I would know. Why don't we talk about you instead? Or better yet, we can talk about me and my new baby!" Nova grabbed both of their arms and turned them to face her jeep. "Ladies, please meet the baddest bitch in Forks, Washington, aside, of course, from MiMi's stunning owner." She laughed a little, jingling her keys a little. "I named her that, by the way. MiMi." She gave a mock swoon.

~Nathan Syke~

Nathan had slipped past the petite crowd that bundled and wove into the lobby as the doors opened. As he stepped inside, a short and stout little woman in a somewhat repulsive green suit approached, and stood upon her tiptoes and pulled the beanie from his hair, mussing it softly.

"No hats young man." She said in her dull vile voice. Nathan smiled that same brilliant white smile as he nodded softly, the waves of his hair framing his face as he reached over and took the beanie from her hands.

"Thanks." He said softly. A group of his close friends all chuckle, coming and patting him on the shoulder and chuckling back and forth. Nathan was feeling a bit... solitary at the moment though, so he slipped away from the smiling faces, and moved to sit at the window, outside on a bench. The cool and moist morning air struck his face, dazzling his features as they relaxed and he let his eyes dwindle shut. Taking a deep breath, Nathan smiled against the feel of moisture striking his lips, and dabbing on his barely apparent mustache. He laughed to himself quietly, rubbing his lips dry and drawing the long black case from his back..

Sitting the guitar case on the ground, he lifted his guitar from it. His friends almost magically appeared there, standing in a loose semi-circle to one side of him. They were all jock-like boys by their build- all with muscles and toned bodies, like a group of perfectionists. But they were nothing like Nathan. One or two had the beautiful tan skin, but the others were a light tone, and one was shorter than the rest.

Nathan sat the beautiful guitar along his lap, gripping it gentle. The long shape curving beautifully at the soft beige wooden belt, and the darker section where a beautiful rose blossom was painted, made it seem more suited for such a person as him.

Nathan plucked the strings with his callous dark fingers, the sound resounding off as he tapped his foot and repeated the motion, moving his finger along the belt of strings and creating a song almost out of thin air as people began to flock.

Kerra looked at Claire as she tried to pick out boys for her to date. Kerra shook her head. "I can find my own potentional boyfriend Claire. You should be worried about yourself." she smiled. She turned to Nova. "Why'd you name her Mimi?" she asked her as she moved some hair out of her face watching her two friends and also looking around at the guys now that Claire had brought up the whole boyfriend thing.

"Nice. And I hope my baby, and all of MiMi's stunning owner's friends are up there too," Claire nodded in approval as she gazed at Nova's new jeep. "When'd you get her?" Claire asked, turning back to her friend, interest sparking in her mind. Her thoughts flashed back to Nova's excuse. "I'm sorry, but I know my friends, and I know he caught your eye. Otherwise, why would you have blushed?" Claire asked, whispering. She checked over her shoulder to make sure no one was listening. There was no one there. They were all flooding inside. "A minute till the bell," Claire murmured to herself, checking her phone. No texts back from Sophie. Claire was immersed in thought. She pieced together Nova's response to her boy-searching, and Kerra's. She decided on a reply to Nova's, then Kerra's, in turn. "Hun, do you know me at all? Anything that is my friend's business, is my business too. And I have already got my mind filled, worrying about you two, and Sophie, if she ever gets here. I don't feel a need to search for something that can find me perfectly fine," Claire said, a smile on her face. She giggled. It felt weird the way she said it. Even though she said it like it was true, her mind had gone back to the boy, Alex, when she had said that. Her mind filled with questions, some about herself, and others she would have liked to ask him. She turned sideways, as if to face her friends, but it was really to see if he was still there. She checked, peeking from the corner of her eye, but she couldn't see. There were people in the way. She sighed silently, and made sure there was a very real-looking smile on her face.

Nova sighed. "She's Mimi, because she's just like that chick from the movie we say in Drama last year, Rent. Except my jeep doesn't do smack... or strip... okay so the only similariy is that they're both dead sexy, really. Dad had had her sitting in the drive way for all of last week and then yesterday he gave me the keys!"

Feeling the hordes of students shift, Nova glanced over her shoulder. Someone was singing. Her eyebrows lifted... it was a nice voice, she supposed... interesting. She was able to see who it was just as a few people shifted and turned away quickly again. Damnit, why was she blushing again?! Claire would never let her live it down...
