Well despite the evidence lol, I hope everyone's subscribed to this thread so they check this and see this post. Lately, I have been working on the UO productions which I hope will be a serious on Youtube of the UO. I've been working on the script, collecting, editing, and piecing together anime to get started and been learning how to draw so hopefully I won't have to use any more anime in teh future.( I don't think my laptop has too much memory left lol.) And now, the last thing I need are voice actors.
I have already been talking to a couple of you about this and I want as many people involved in this as possible, even if its giving advice or feedback. This is open to everyone, including our newest members like Ris, Thantos, and ShadowRoxas if you guys are interested. I do have a couple of rules/ guidelines/ suggestions and the script as follows. There can be exceptions to certain things which will usually follow the main rule. Keep in mind, this is the first time I do something like this so any help would be greatly appreciated. Any comments, suggestions, or general feedback/ disagreements can be pm'ed to me. I'm just posting it here because it is UO related, pm'ing everyone is a hassle, and yeah...
Rules...
1) Everyone automatically gets their main character.
For example, I automatically get Bellatrix because she is my main character I use. This applies to everyone's character in the UO, strictly speaking.
2) If you have more than one main character, you can automatically get them as well.
Like Nulix, you have Nulix and Vecked which I consider a main character as well. If you want, you can automatically get both. If someone thinks they have another main character outside of the UO as well, you can request them as well. Just tell me and if I agree, the character is taken. If not, you'll have to audition anyway.
3) You cannot take a main character unless it is offered.
If you think you can voice the character better, ask the user who has it. If they offer it to you, then no problem. For example, I don't want to voice Bellatrix (because I don't want her having a carebear voice lol) so I'm going to offer it to Hijiri (who offered to help me voice the girls). She already wants to voice Vexneah so I'm going to ask her to actually switch with me. This rule does not include users who can't do this.
4) All other characters are up for grabs.
Even if you created them, it doesn't mean you get them. I'm trying to get the best voice for each character as possible so I can't have everyone voicing their own characters. Besides, considering there are a lot of characters we didn't create, especially in the beginning, there will have to be auditions.
5) You are allowed to audition for as many roles as you wish.
There is no limit really. I just hope you have a different voice for each one lol.
6) Auditions are open for the characters in the current script.
The way I’m doing this is I’m going to put Acts 1-4 up after the rules and explanations. The lines for auditioning will be bolded and then rewritten at the bottom. Only the characters that have the bolded lines and rewritten will be available at the moment. I don’t want to jump too far ahead because there is a lot going on, the rest of the acts are still being written and revised, and it can be a bit overwhelming looking at so much. So, at the moment, ya’ll can only audition for the characters in acts 1-4. This rule might be changed in the future though and no, not only because I will have the rest of the acts written out lol.
7) You may submit the auditions through video or sound clip.
I can work with either really so you can submit the auditions on Youtube or find a way to submit the audio only. Just make sure to pm me the link and be clear on who you’re auditioning for.
8) If you can’t voice act for any reason, don’t worry.
This is really just for fun and to see how far I can go with this. If you can’t help out with voice acting, you can help by giving feedback, helping judge who gets the part (and you can help decide who will voice your own characters as well), or helping me out with the script and such. I know some of you will be leaving soon or will be occupied with school/work/ life (as I will be lol) so you don’t have to panic. Just let me know.
If I left something out, something’s vague, or you just want to talk with me about this, make sure to pm me. I will try my best to respond. I will try to update this with what parts are taken, any new or revised scripts, and hopefully the link to out pilot episode and/or our first episode. If I can’t update, I’ll try to post again or just pm you all… somehow… lol.
Now for the script…
They told us we were a disturbance. That the government would no longer tolerate us. Then they pulled out their swords, and began the massacre.
Act One: The Plea For Revenge
The room is large and spacious enough for all the new members to comfortably take a seat but a few choose to lean against the wall. Faces of anxiety, boredom, and irritability are displayed in a range of emotion across their faces. One member in particular is seated in a throne like chair, a silver orb hovers quietly beside him. He is seated upright with his hands on the crumbling armrests, feet firmly planted on the cracked floor, his gaze is one of determination.
DURGAN: “Do you know why I have gathered you all here?”
CAIRO: He stops leaning on the wall and stands up straight, drawing the other’s eyes who look like they don‘t want to talk. He looks at them in contempt and sighs.
“Why?”
DURGAN: He grins to the point of madness.
“Vengeance and possibly, redemption.”
TORVIL: “Revenge, huh? Not a bad idea.”
He taps his fingers impatiently on the chair, a look of irritation on his face.
LARISSA: “Sounds a little crazy…”
She chuckles nervously and fidgets with her cloak.
CAIRO: “Heh, no thanks. Doing it for years gets on you, ya know?”
He looks away as the other members mumble, a chorus of reluctance.
WING: Seeing DURGAN’S drooping smile, he tries to salvage the situation.
“Who is it against?”
DURGAN: The slowly faltering smile drops completely as memories appear.
“It is against those who took everything from me. Even, in a sense, my heart. It is against those …Knights. The Enigmatic Knights!”
Instantly gasps and uproars arise. A few even stand up and leave.
TORVIL: Tapping his fingers even more impatiently.
“Knights, huh? I’ve heard rumors of them but never actually seen them.”
LARISSA: “Why can’t you do it? I have no need for revenge, none at all! Heh…”
She looks uncomfortable as memories arise of when she knew the knights, when she was a knight…
CAIRO: Smirks.
“Yeah, how come you can’t do it yourself? ”
CASSIE: “The knights haven’t bothered any of us.”
There are murmurs of agreement and uncomfortable looks at DURGAN. Some look at their feet, looking like they regret coming to the meeting. DURGAN sees his plan falling to pieces.
RENA: She listens to the others and mulls it over. Seeing DURGAN and hearing the general discontent, she speaks up.
“I don’t have much dispute with the knights and little desire for revenge but I’ve lost my reason for living. If you can provide any other reason, I shall join you.”
The others stop talking and stare at DURGAN, waiting for his response. DARKRAI is the only one to move, switching to a more comfortable position by crossing his kegs and putting his elbow on his knee.
DURGAN: “My first comrades were very similar to you all. Almost all of them hated to fight as well but they absolutely loathed seeing the government walk all over its loyal citizens. We rose against this injustice government called the Enigmatic Knights and they… “
His calm but serious demeanor is suddenly broken as he slams his fist into the armrest of the chair. His face is contorted into a mask of absolute loathing and madness.
“The knights need to be destroyed! As for more reasons, for those who love to fight, you shall have your fill! For those who thirst for revenge, you shall be drunk with it! And for those who wish to honor their memories, this shall be the greatest honor of all!”
The other members jump in surprise and fidget a little nervously. The hovering orb gets closer to DURGAN.
ORB: “Master, maybe its best if we let them think over this, don’t you?”
DURGAN: He looks around the room, hearing no cries of rally and no words of support. In fact, maybe even a little fear is present. Rage engulfs him.
“None of you still wish to help me!? Have you not seen the corruption of the knights! Have you not seen the fear in the commoner’s eyes!? You lot of cowards! Do none of you like to fight!? Do none of you thirst for revenge! For everyone who has unjustly fallen at their hands!?”
LARISSA: “I-I do its just…You never told us we would be fighting the Enigmatic Knights... “
She looks hesitant and stares at the ground.
CAIRO: “I don’t think I can fight anymore…”
The rest of the members mutter responses, most of them still reluctant.
DURGAN: looking around in disgust. He sighs and motions for Orb to leave.
“Orb, show the members to their quarters. I think we’re done for the night.”
ORB: “Yes, master. Members, please follow me.”
The members stand up and follow ORB as they proceed past DURGAN who is slumped in his chair, looking tired and old.
DURGAN: “They’ll help me soon enough. They just need proper motivation.”
END OF ACT ONE.

Act Two: Run or Fight
The castle halls are many and crumbling. There are two main halls on either side of the main chamber, both are lined with rooms that have been prepared for the weary outcasts. The walls are a dull red with faded golden stripes that run along the top and bottom of the walls. There are paint chips every now and then on the carpeted floors which are stained from the previous occupants. Patches of the carpets are missing. If one should stray from the main halls, there are various stairways and other halls that lead to the facilities and other rooms. Some have been blocked off for safety, seeing as parts are nothing more than mere rubble which makes one wonder how the castle still stands.
At the moment, everything is quiet save for the footsteps of DURGAN who is patrolling the halls yet again. His tracks are noticeable, the blood red carpet dull where he walks every night since that horrible day. His gray eyes are searching for anything out of the ordinary, his footsteps light, his ears listening to every sound including the snore of TORVIl as DURGAN passes his room. He is reaching the end of the main hall and about to go into one of the two, smaller hallways when a loud explosion sends him flying back close to CASSIE’s room.
DURGAN: Yelling above the sound of another explosion as he tries to rise up, his cloak slightly torn from the front.
“Come to kill me yet? Have you knights come to destroy everything I know once again? I won’t let you!”
The sound of the explosion and DURGAN’s yells rouse the other members up and doors are seen opening as DURGAN slowly stands again. TORVIL is the first one out of his room and rushes to the superior, looking slightly injured as well. LELETTE is close behind him.
TORVIL: “What happened, sir?”
LELETTE: “Are you alright superior?”
DURGAN: He is being supported by TORVIL as he finally stands firmly on his feet. The other members are appearing around them, their eyes glancing at the clearing smoke where something metallic is appearing. DURGAN looks highly unpleased.
“The knights, they’re back to take everything from me! I won’t let them..”
The group looks at him nervously and looks back at the now apparent knight army. Countless of them flow in, an army against a ragtag group. They approach slowly, their helmets on, weapons ready. A few of the members start to back away and DURGAN scowls.
DURGAN: “Run… or fight.”
The members who had backed up now run as the knights charge at them. A fight ensues, ending with knights running away and a few members chasing them. Amidst the bodies, the wounded, and pieces of the building is WING, DURGAN, RENA, CAIRO, ADEN, AND ORB surrounding a single, defeated knight. They are all covered in various wounds of varying degrees of seriousness. ORB glows a bright blue, DURGAN’s wounds are healed.
DURGAN: “Ah, much better. Now let’s deal with this knight, shall we?”
WING: “I’m ready when you are, sir.”
He salutes as the others nod, there is a troubled look on his face.
CAIRO: “Hm, seems a waste to kill him now.”
He brings his katana to the knight’s neck, aiming to slash his throat. DURGAN grabs his arm and shakes his head, causing CAIRO to drop his hand.
DURGAN: “Don’t kill him, yet. Take off his helmet instead. I want to see who this pathetic worm is.”
RENA steps forward and removes his helmet revealing ROKA.
DURGAN: “No, it can’t be…”
There is complete disbelief on his face.
ROKA: Smirking.
“Heh, long time no see Durgan. How’s Hitomi?”
DURGAN: His face is contorted in pure rage at the taunt. He suddenly lurches forward only to be stopped by WING and RENA.
“Kill him! He was one of the knights who destroyed Organization XIV!”
RENA: “But sir, we still need to interrogate him and-”
CAIRO: “You can’t kill him! He’s my-!”
ADEN: “Who cares? Orders are orders and fra-”
TORVIL: “Wait Aden, I think Cairo-”
DURGAN: “Are you disobeying my orders!”
ORB: “Sir, please calm down and think this over. I know what has happened but-”
DURGAN: “Orb, are you a traitor as well!”
WING: “Sir, please listen. We can’t-”
LELETTE: “No one’s a traitor superior. We’re simply-”
ADEN: “Sounds like traitor talk to me.”
LELETTE: “No one asked you Aden.”
CAIRO: “Aden, shut up! We can’t kill him! No one touch him!”
ADEN: “You’re the one that needs to be quiet you traitor! Allying yourself with the enemy that just attacked us!”
WING: “Guys..”
DURGAN: “Just do as I said!”
ORB: “Master Wing, Mistress Rena, can you take Durgan away from here? I’m afraid his temper is a bit out of control and we’ll need the knight. I’m sure-”
ADEN: “We don’t need the stupid knight! There’s plenty of others around here so let’s just kill him!”
Before anyone can move or speak, ADEN slashes at ROKA, a trickle of blood suddenly appearing at his neck. ROKA suddenly collapses, unable to move his arms since they are bound by ice thanks to LELETTE. At that moment CAIRO shoves ADEN and the two begin to fight, shouting that ADEN has killed his twin brother.
WING and RENA takes DURGAN away, seeing he wants to jump into the fray. ORB follows them as LELETTE tries to break up the fight. TORVIL grabs the fallen ROKA and drags him into one of the abandoned rooms, making sure to lock the door behind him. CASSIE, who has returned from hunting down another knight sees him.
CASSIE: “Hey! Traitor! What are you doing with that knight!”
She walks over to TORVIL’s room and bangs on the door as WING and RENA return running to break up the fight between ADEN and CAIRO. RENA grabs CAIRO while WING grabs ADEN.
ADEN: “You damn traitor! You should be expelled for insubordination!”
CAIRO: “I told you not to touch him! You killed him! You killed my brother!”
RENA: “Cairo, calm down. I’m sure we can still save him!”
CAIRO: “No, he’s gone! And its all his fault! And Durgan’s too!”
He frees himself from RENA’s grasp, radiating hate at ADEN. He storms out of the castle, absolutely furious.
RENA: “Cairo, stop! Come back!”
She runs after him as ADEN shrugs off WING.
ADEN: “I can’t believe this! That guy is just a pile of crap.”
He shakes his head and storms off in another direction.
WING: He sighs and is about to follow ADEN when DURGAN returns with a nervous ORB.
DURGAN: “Betraying me is not a smart thing to do. Where is that traitor?”
ORB: “Please, sir, calm down. I’m sure they-”
WING: “Sir, as much as I hate traitors I don’t believe killing one of our own isn’t very wise. It would show we are not united and might give the knights the upper hand if they realized they could use this against us, turning everyone against the other. I suggest we allow Roka to live, to see if we can’t get any information. Cairo as well, since he seems to have a connection to the knight and can therefore extract information from him.”
DURGAN: He examines WING, looking him over and contemplating his words. Then he takes a deep breath in and smiles.
“I never said I would kill Cairo. I just wanted to scare him a bit. Where is he? And that disgraceful knight?”
LELETTE: “I think Torvil grabbed him.”
She turns around and sees CASSIE is standing outside of a room, banging on the door still.
“Hey is there a knight in there!”
CASSIE: She is startled and looks over to see LELETTE, DURGAN, AND WING staring at her. She nods.
The three members walk over and DURGAN pounds on the door.
DURGAN: “Torvil, this is your superior. Unlock this door. We won’t cause any harm to the knight I assure you. We simply need to ask him a few questions.”
There is a moment’s pause before the door swings open to reveal a small, plain room. The walls are a dirty white and peeling at the edges. The floor is carpeted, blue and as in bad in shape as the one on the hall. The only furnishings are a beaten up nightstand, a dingy bed, and a cracking dresser. TORVIL is standing besides the door while ROKA is in the corner, looking slightly roughed up. TORVIL is panting and his nose is bleeding, a bandage wrap in his hands. DURGAN raises an eyebrow.
DURGAN: “What happened here?”
TORVIL: “He was resisting while I tried to help him out so I had to teach him how to sit still.”
DURGAN: “Ah, I see. Well Wing, will you go help get Cairo back? I would like him to see this and possibly help us out. Torvil, Lelette, Cassie, go dispose of the bodies.”
WING: He salutes as the other three leave and walks away, a worried look on his face as he places his hand on his forehead.
“We’ve barely begun and the knights are already attacking us. We don’t even have a good number compared to theirs and if they decide to attack again, we won’t stand a chance. At least, not until Orson returns with more recruits. I hope he comes with a good number. Maybe then we can move to a new hideout as well…”

Act Three: Interrogation
They are back in the throne room where ROKA sits in the middle, his lips firmly pressed together. WING and RENA have returned but CAIRO and ADEN are not present. DURGAN, ORB, LARISSA, LELETTE, TORVIL, and CASSIE are in the room as well. DURGAN steps forward.
DURGAN: “Since we were unable to locate Cairo, I shall conduct the questioning.”
The other remains quiet, watching intently, as DURGAN walks towards ROKA.
“Roka, its been a while.”
ROKA: “Yeah, last time I saw you the Enigmatic Knights managed to stop the infection that was your friends. Horrible people they were… Hitomi was pretty hot though. Too bad we couldn’t have fun with her before she died, huh?”
DURGAN: He glares at ROKA, shaking with rage, his fists clenched tightly. WING and TORVIL take a step forward seeing as DURGAN looked like he was about to attack ROKA who was chuckling. DURGAN regains his composure.
“Yes, last time you had a much bigger army slaughtering innocents. Why’d you bring weaklings with you today? The army finally running out of psychopaths to recruit?”
ROKA: “Heh, seems like you’re the one with all the psychopaths. At least our army can cooperate without a fight. Where did you find these guys? Must be hard seeing old faces, huh?”
DURGAN: “Your brother is very similar to you, always stirring up trouble.”
ROKA: “We get it from our dad, you know, the one that killed your precious leader. You remember, don’t you?”
DURGAN: “Ah, yes, that senile old man.”
ROKA: “You’re the one that’s senile. You should be dead too.”
DURGAN: “Heh, you’re the one that spared me.”
ROKA: “And I kind of regret it now. You’ve gotten boring.”
DURGAN: “Boring?”
ROKA: chuckles.
“Only reason we kept ya alive was to watch you wallow in despair, pining for your lost love and friends. Those crazy rants you usually throw are pretty funny too. Although now…”
He looks around the room, smirking.
“You’ve gotten pretty annoying. Just wait until Derek and the other commanders show up. ` They’ll be sure to finish my job.”
He laughs and DURGAN snaps, punching him in the face.
TORVIL steps forward and restrains DURGAN, shouting that they still need the knight. LARISSA and CASSIE step forward and remove ROKA from DURGAN’s sight. WING is about to help when RENA whispers something in his ear. He nods and heads to the castle’s main doors which are located at the front of the throne room. He hears the knocking which was drowned out by the yelling and opens it to reveal a young man wearing a cloak with his hood on his head, only allowing his jet black hair to be a recognizable feature.
ORSON: “Wing, old buddy! Look what I brought you!”
He steps back to reveal four people, all wearing their own cloaks. WING smiles and holds a hand out, inviting them all in.
ORSON: “That’s Ethan, Annalee, Sonya, and Yole, in line up order.”
As their names are called out the new recruits raise their hand and say their individual greetings.
WING: “it’s a pleasure to meet you all. it’s a good thing you guys came along too. We recently lost a few people thanks to the knights’ attack and-”
ORSON: “The Knights? You’ve got to be kidding me.”
They arrive at the throne room, ORSON looks around with disapproval. The new members go off to talk to the members who were already there.
“And we’re supposed to be the Ultimate Organization? If you ask me, there’s nothing ‘ultimate’ looking about it at all…”
WING: Chuckles.
“I know it doesn’t look like much right now but we’re growing in number with the recruits you’re getting. And most of the ones that arrived before us have shown to be impressive fighters. Its not the numbers, but the strength they posses that matters.”
ORSON: “Right… Speaking of new members, me and my contacts have managed to get in touch with a few more people. They’re kind of far so I didn’t personally go get them but they should be arriving soon.”
WING: “That’s great! You and your contacts Orson. I wish you would tell me who they were.”
ORSON: “Heh, if I didn’t tell you when we first talked about rebelling, I certainly won’t tell you now.”
WING: Smiling as he recalls their first meeting.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
There is a small café with brown and tan walls, the morning sunlight streaming in through the large windows that almost take up the entire wall. There are paintings hung on the walls of landscapes and strangers with artistic flair. There are round tables with four chairs for every table, two for the tables that line the walls. On each table there are napkins, sugar, and salt for the convenience of the customer. There is hardly anyone in the café save for one waiter, the cook (JONATHAN), and the cashier (COLLETTE). The cook and cashier are chatting in the back as the waitress cleans off a table. The oak door swings open to reveal a young man in his late teens with blond hair and cerulean eyes. He is dressed in a neon vest, sullied white shirt, and blue jeans. There is yellow hazard hat in his hand along with thick, brown gloves. The waiter is a well built young man with black eyes, black hair with streaks of white, and a simple uniform consisting of a white buttoned up shirt, black slacks, and a black apron. His name tag reads ORSON.
ORSON: “Ah, Wing correct? Mr. Plain-glass-of-water-and-a-slice-of-lemon, right?”
He laughs, WING joining in.
WING: “I’ve only come here for the past three days and you’ve already memorized my order.”
ORSON: “Well your order is pretty simple compared to some of the regular customers we usually get. Some even have specific times they want their order! Luckily I‘m pretty good at memorizing things like that.”
WING: He chuckles and takes the seat nearest to the door and farthest from the register which is on the counter located near the wall right across from the door.
“I suppose you have to as a waiter of course? Less chance of upsetting a customer.”
ORSON: He heads to the counter where a fresh water of pitcher sits and pours some into a cup. Grabbing a slice of the lemon from the back, he approaches WING’s table and puts the water and lemons in front of him.
“That’s true. Of course some already come in upset thanks to the knig…ths.”
He suddenly closes his mouth shut and looks at WING, looking like he let something slip.
WING: There is a sudden far away look that enters his eyes, the corner of one mouth turning down. He does not seem to have noticed ORSON’s look.
“They have been causing a lot of trouble lately, huh? Especially to innocent people..”
ORSON: Looks relieved and nods. A dark shadow crosses his face.
“I have a few contacts around town who say that the knights took out a peaceful protest group just last week.”
WING: “Really? Was that around the same time they took out that gang that had supposedly been wreaking havoc in nearby towns?”
ORSON: “My contacts tell me that there was no gang. It was the knights doing all that havoc and they blamed the protest group so they could go ahead and wipe them out so all their crimes would be covered.”
WING: “That really does sound like them..”
ORSON: “Yeah and turns out they didn’t even finish the job! Supposedly there‘s one survivor left and I actually managed to-!”
COLLETTE: Yelling from the back, making both men jump.
“Orson! We’re closing in thirty minutes! You better have everything done or you’re working off the clock!”
ORSON: “Alright Collette!”
He shakes his head and laughs.
“That woman is always distracting me.. What was I saying?”
WING: “Something about the surviving member of the protest group?”
ORSON: “Oh yeah! Well turns out I actually managed to talk to him. He’s thinking of getting another group together, you know, to maybe get revenge on the knights or something.”
WING: He frowns at hearing the word revenge.
“Revenge? I don’t think…”
ORSON: “Well I’m sure he won’t go about acting like a stark raving lunatic bent on revenge. He wouldn’t be gathering people to send them to their deaths or anything. If you’re interested, he’ll be having a meeting next week, here to talk to some of my contacts and anyone they’ve gathered.”
WING: “I’ll think about it. Hey, about your coworkers..”
ORSON: “Heh, we’ve been talking this entire time and you’re barely worried about them? Don’t, they’re cool. They share the same view we do so they don’t mind customers venting about the knights like some places do.”
WING: “That’s good to know. Well I should probably get going soon. Have to get up early to help finish up repairing those houses from the knights’ last “inspection.” Hey could I get in contact with one of your contacts for more information?”
ORSON: “Sorry but I can’t give out names. Confidentiality, you know?”
WING: “Can’t blame a guy for trying.”
ORSON: “Maybe someday in the future. Heh, well see ya tomorrow.”
WING: “Goodbye.”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
ORSON: “Good old times.”
WING: “Yup.”
ORSON: “Well let’s get these new recruits settled shall we? We’re going to have a long fight ahead of us.”
WING: “That’s true.”
END OF ACT THREE

ACT 4: New Recruits
They are back in the throne room with ORSON and the new recruits standing to one side. WING, DURGAN, and the others are seated in their seats. There are many empty seats now, CAIRO and ADEN’s seat among them. A little past them are the remains of the battle, same as when it had ended except all the bodies are gone.
ETHAN: “Wooh! You guys sure know how to throw a party!”
DURGAN: “Orson, who are these insolent new recruits you have brought?”
ETHAN: “Hey now, I don’t mean any harm. Name’s Ethan and I heard ya’ll were planning a rebellion against those mean ol’ knights.”
LARISSA: “Well you heard right. Take a seat guys, we don’t bite. I‘m Larissa.”
ETHAN: “Well thank ya ma’m. Don’t these look comfortable.”
ANNALEE: “Thank you. I’m Annalee by the way.”
CASSIE: “That’s such a nice name! I’m called Cassie!”
SONYA: “Aw, such a cute name yourself! I’m Sonya! I can’t wait to start kicking knight butt!”
WING: “Well as you can see, you won’t have long to wait until you get to.”
YOLE: “Certainly looks like it. Yole here and not too impressed at the moment.”
ORSON: “Neither am I. Am I wasting my time here or what? I was expecting more Durgan.”
DURGAN: “Our numbers were bigger before the knights interfered..”
ORSON: “The Knights? Already? You’ve got to be kidding me..”
WING: “No Oxyrt, we’re not kidding. They came just yesterday and we managed to beat them with casualties. The army was a decent size too.”
He notices ORSON still looks skeptical.
“But, if you’re still not convinced, why don’t you lend us your power as well?”
ORSON: “The knights aren’t that easy to defeat, even with the strongest army. I’m not risking my neck by going out there with this ragtag group. I only recruit people and I know we looked, well are looking, for strong candidates, I find it hard to believe you and the rest of you all managed to defeat an army of true bred knights.”
DURGAN: “But its true, we even managed to capture one- Roka. He was one of the original assailants on my previous…”
LARISSA: “Yeah! He’s even held up in a room right now. Torvil managed to get him away safely before Cairo and Aden killed each other!”
ORSON: “So now you’re telling me that there are already members fighting against each other..? Yeah, we’re getting killed.”
ETHAN: “Oh that’s a shame to hear. Maybe its this whole vengeance thing ya’ll got going on. It gets the whole group riled up and such to the point it makes ya’ll vent on each other as I’m sure our leader knows.”
DURGAN: “You better be quiet fool before I-”
LELETTE: “Shouldn’t we be focusing on the knights rather than each other?”
LARISSA: “Yeah! I have an idea! What if we attack them one by one?”
ORSON: “That would take too long.”
RENA: “I think she has a point. We could draw them out a little at a time and annihilate them. What would a little extra time matter so long as they’re defeated without casualties? Of course, if Durgan agrees.”
ORSON: “There are hundreds of them Rena. After the first several of them, I think the rest would have figured it out by then. Plus, who knows how much more destruction they will cause before they’re all defeated. But hey, its your call Durgan. The fate of all is inevitable. Who am I to protest?”
There are murmurs among the other members, a note of discord in their voices.
ETHAN: “I agree with ya Orson. This is the group to take down the knights? Laughable.”
DURGAN: “Would you like to see the pile of knight bodies out back?”
ETHAN: “I don’t think so… Another option would be to exploit what ya’lls prisoner knows and find out where all those new recruits coming from. Then we can ya know, take care of ‘em.”
He clenches his fist, claws popping out of the knuckles. The other members begin talking amongst themselves.
CASSIE: “I really don’t care. I like Larissa’s plan.”
There are more murmurs and soon everyone begins discussing plans of attack and strategies with only DURGAN and ORSON staying out of it. ORSON looks irritated. DURGAN looks about nervously.
ORSON: In a low voice to himself.
“Well this is not the first time I’ve had to take charge of a situation.”
He clears his throat and bangs his hand on his armrest. He bites his lip so he won’t whimper in pain.
“Look guys, our best bet is to find someone who knows something about these Enigmatic Knights that would throw things into our advantage. That someone being an ancient mage who is only rumored to exist. With the knowledge this mage can tell us, we can control these knights and even bring them under our wings. The castle where this mage is has been lost for centuries. So unless you already know where it is, it can not be found. But luckily, I have my contacts.”
He unzips his coat and lets it fall to the ground, revealing his black undershirt, pants, and a bit of a tattered blue sweatshirt wrapped around his neck and right arm. He reaches for the ogre sword on his back, pulls it out, and throws it into the middle of the room. The room grows dark, as if the blade is sucking the light out slowly, and a holographic map shoots out from the handle of the sword. The onlookers lean in as they see a pathetic stretch of land that is small and hardly noticeable.
“That, Is where we need to go.”
LELETTE: “Sound interesting Orson. If the superior agrees, I will join you in this quest. Besides, I don’t want to stay in this place forever.”
CASSIE: “I agree Orson. It’ll be a lot more fun than staying here.”
ORSON: Smiling.
“Anyone else?”
There is a moment’s pause before the rest of the members join in with a myriad of approvals. DURGAN is the only one not talking, staring intently at the ground. The excitement boils down as they see DURGAN hasn’t said anything in approval of the plan. He looks up, seeing all eyes on him.
DURGAN: “Since all the members have agreed to this, it seems it is settled. What is the name of the mage we’re looking for?”
ORSON: He smirks.
“Retlaw.”
