OOC: Sorry it took so long to reply!

Wing smiled looking over at Ris. He motioned for the Fox to sit beside him.

"You're right, they weren't always, superheroes." He smirked. "Neither was I. You see the world we come from is controlled by many Gods and Goddesses. They all agreed to not directly interfere with our lives. So to combat this, and help protect the world they controlled, so they invented the Guardian System."

He paused a moment, to both gather his thoughts and see if Ris was following.

"A Guardian is a person chosen to wield the magic of the God or Goddess that has chosen them. My powers are wind and Twilight, both governed by the same Goddess. I was given my power to help stop an organization from trying to dominate the world. I started with only commanding Wind, but then after the war turned south, I was given Twilight. Twilight was the only way to stop the Darkness, and the God of said Darkness."

He chuckled. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to start an autobiography. The Girls were chosen to be Guardians temporarily. They have a different purpose in this universe, but our Gods, and Goddesses knew the danger we were going to face, and wanted them protected."

He looked out the window, watching the stars pass by, wondering how many of them he'd looked up on a different world.

"So, I'm going to try and help them learn and master their powers. I'm glad they have you as a friend, Ris. I know Maron is grateful to have met you."
He smirked and let out a chuckle.

"I'm grateful to have you on this team, thank you for following Bella and the others that day."

He held out his fist to Ris, he wasn't sure if he knew the gesture, but traveling around the systems, it seemed a relatively normal practice in place of a hand shake.

Re: Ultimate Organization (IC)

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Ris on Mon May 03, 2010 10:16 pm

After sitting down beside him, Ris slowly nodded along as Wing spoke. Although what the man said was completely new to him, he made it relatively simple to understand and easy to follow. It was nice, too, to hear about Wing himself and his powers instead of just the girls. He really didn't know much about any of the Ultimate Organization members, he really just followed behind.

After all, the vulpine was only there with them because he was at the right place at the right time.

When Wing spoke of how they were glad to have him aboard the team, Ris couldn't help but smile. Not just because it was a nice thing to say but also because he figured it was only that--a nice thing to say. In all honesty, he hadn't done much to deserve the words Wing spoke. When the fight broke out with Kamachi and his group, whoever was involved, Ris wasn't even there. He didn't have any powers or anything either, so if any big battles came up, although he would try, he probably wouldn't affect much. After all, he didn't even know powers were real until he met the team.

Either way, the fox was glad to be there and he was grateful that Wing would at least think to say something like that. He was about to speak his mind concerning himself on the team and such when Wing held out his fist, causing a smug grin to instantly appear on Ris' face. Returning the gesture as he knew it by bumping fists, he said, "Thanks, Wing. If anything, I'm glad to have met you guys...Heh, just...thanks for letting me tag along."

Wing laughed, smiling softly.

"I'm glad to have met you too Ris, though we don't know much about one another, I still feel a vibe from you that we've met long ago. I know I can trust you, and can see the determination in your eyes. I know you're hesitant to take my words as more than a kind note, but I promise you, I'm not one to say things just because they are nice. I can see just how important a member you'll be in the future, and you're personality is written in your eyes. Never sell yourself short, friend. Fear is only temporary after all. Once the fear is gone, I know you'll show everyone a thing or two about fighting."

He winked and smiled softly again, hoping to ease the vulpine's nerves. He did mean what he said, and he did feel they'd met someplace before.

At first, Ris was embarrassed. Wing seemed to know exactly what he was thinking concerning the compliments he was given, but with his promise the fox felt that he could trust him. Ris had to wonder, though, what he meant when he said they had met before, but he soon shrugged it off until a later time. After all, praise was being given, and he had to pay attention so he could live up to what was being said of him.

Once Wing was finished, the Arctic Fox gave another short nod. "I guess only time will tell for sure...But I plan on sticking around for a while. I'm sure you'll be there when we get to find out, eh?"

"I'm not going any where, don't you worry about that. My place is here with my friends." He smiled, feeling power well up inside him.

"Though, there's one friend I need to go and get still, once he's with us, nothing can stop us."

He thought about Darius, and what he might be doing, where he was and how he was doing. He frowned for a moment, but caught himself. There was no reason to be sad, Darius was strong, and Wing knew that better than anyone on the WingWhale. He turned to Ris,

"So tell me what your home is like."

"Home..." Ris mumbled, closing his eyes for a moment in thought. Shrugging, he opened them again. "There's not really much to say. I mean, it's where I grew up, obviously, and it seems pretty similar to what I've seen around here. Just me and my mother at home till I was thirteen, fourteen...Somewhere around there. Anyway, I was going to school and all, but then I left during the warmer seasons." The vulpine didn't include the part about his father, not because he didn't care for him but because he didn't want to give Wing a cliché. "A few years later and here I am."

Wing smirked. It was funny, he was slowly learning that no matter what world you come from, what system one is from, they don't matter. He was discovering that although many of his friends had odd pasts and many journeys, they all had similar lives before some event, tragic or otherwise took that simple life away and changed the way they lived. It was the concept of destiny taking over after fate had delt its hand. For Wing it was going to Cerina after his parent passed away, for Ris it seemed to be his getting on that ship on that warm spring day. The fact that the simplest of events, or choices could rock the very foundation of one's life both fascinated and scared Wing.

"You say you were going to school, so how old does that make you? 16, 17?" He knew he was prying, but making casual conversation was never Wing's strong point, but he did enjoy learning the smaller details about his friends. They seemed to make the impending battles seem far off, and de-stressed the tired warrior.

"Attention, All hands to your stations, we are about to head in to the Realm of Wild Space. Once we cross the border, there will be complete Radio....what? Hold on...They can''t be serious! All ships abort, abort!!!"

The all to familiar sound of an explosion rocked the the ship's intercom. Wing looked out the window to see the wreckage of the UPA ship fall, coated in fire. Without hesitation he motioned for Ris to follow him to the sky deck. They watched as the ships that were escorting them were attacked, the culprit? A strange ship Wing didn't recognize. As the ship fell, he felt the WingWhale jerk and avoid colliding with any of the fallen ships. Xane's voice came over the intercom

"That ship must be from one of the worlds on the border of Wild Space, it obviously doesn't want us any closer!"

Wing gritted his teeth, watching as the new world rose into view. It was a strange planet, green atmosphere and yellow clouds. The entire surface was blocked by the clouds, leading him to believe the world was racked by constant storm.

"Win-ale, ple....spond" Came a raspy voice from over the intercom. "Ale.........spond...." There was static on the channel as Wing raced to the Bridge. He grabbed the radio and shouted into it. "All UPA ships still intact send up a flare. If you need assistance, please respond!"

The static filled the radio and the voice tried to speak over the damaged radio. Xane jerked the ship to avoid a shot by the unknown ship and Wing scanned the open space for any ship that looked like it was relatively intact.
Just as he spotted it, the enemy ship did too. The ship charged for another shot, ready to end the crippled ship's existence, But the WingWhale was faster. Wing quickly aimed the main batteries, and fired at the ships defense systems. He felt no need to kill them, after all, The Fleet entered the ship's territory, they were the bad guys here.

"Attention unidentified ship, stop firing at once! We mean you no harm. We only wish to pass through this area as to stay undetected by the government of the Ulfire system."

The foreign ship ignored Wing's request for a cease fire, trapping the remaining UPA ship with its tractor beam, and heading, full speed for the surface of the world that filled the WingWhale's view screen.

"Xane, we can't abandon them." Xane nodded in agreement, and the WingWhale took off after the cruiser.

"Ris, gather the others, we need to tell them what's going on..."

He gritted his teeth and slammed his hand on the control panel. "Damn it..." The cruiser began to glow red as it entered its atmosphere, the UPA ship barely hanging onto survival.

It was amazing to Ris how fast things could happen. He didn't even have time to respond to Wing when everything suddenly became hectic. The vulpine quickly followed after Wing, not sure what else to do in a situation like that. After all, he had no experience with space troubles, especially nothing like this.

At Wing's order, the Arctic Fox gave a brisk nod and spun around, his tail lashing out like a whip as he dashed away. Part of his worry stemmed from the fact that he wasn't sure where anyone else was. He had one idea, but knew nothing for sure.

Soon enough he was in the living quarters and, with the help of his good ears and nose, quickly hunted down the particular room he was looking for: the one belonging to Aero. If he was right then he was sure she could help him with gathering the rest and, in turn, help Wing out, too. Knocking on the door, he called, "Aero, you in there?"

Aero rolled over slowly, hearing Ris at the door, his voice sounded panicked and that worried her. She threw herself out of bed in little more than a tank top and answered the door.

'What's wrong?" She felt the ship jerk and grabbed the door frame for support. THe jerk seemed to wake her up more fully as she blushed realizing she answered the door in her pajamas. She shook it off, racing back to the small desk in the room and slipping on a pair of work out pants.

"S-sorry..." She stammered. "What's going on? Why is the ship jerking?"

Maron was walking down the hallway when she saw Ris standing in Aero's doorway. "Ris, do you know what's happening?" She rushed over to see Aero grabbing a small jacket and shoes.

Ris blushed slightly at the sight of Aero, but he gave his head a quick shake to regain his focus.

'Now isn't really the time for that sort of thing...'

Looking to Maron as she happened upon them, he gave her a nod of acknowledgment and said to the two, "I'm not exactly sure. Wing has the specifics. Something about people thinking we're trespassing or something and they're not taking it too well." he quickly explained, wanting to get back to Wing. He would know what to do.

Aero flashed Maron a look of questioning, but Maron shrugged.

"We need to get to Wing then!" Aero exclaimed, slipping past Maron and Ris. She kept running down the hallway stopping at the first elevator. It was shut down though, she figured because of the violent jerking. Maron sighed and rolled her eyes, taking Ris by the hand, not thinking.

"Where is Wing?" She asked as the followed Aero.

Wing fought with the Radio trying to hale the ship before them, while at the same time trying to find any survivors from the other ships.

"Dammit, Dammit, DAMMIT!" He shouted hitting the wall in frustration.

"Come in...please, anyone come in..." Wing's eyes lit up as he grabbed the headset and tried to fine tune the transmission.

"This is the WingWhale, please respond! Over."

"Oh thank the Gods!" A woman's voice filled his ears. He recognized the voice as to belonging to the Knight they'd met when they had boarded the space station "There's seven of us on a life pod. I see your ship...do you have room? Over."

Wing was hesitant. His mind instantly told him that the Knights fled thinking only of themselves, but his heart told him they needed help no matter what.

"Y-yeah we have plenty of room. Are there any wounded? Over."

"There are two young maintenance workers that were caught in the first blast. Both are bleeding, but seem stable enough. There is a doctor on board, we just need the supplies. Over."

"Okay we have limited supplies but you're welcome to them. We're above you now, please be ready to be received. Over."

"May the Gods smile upon you. Over and out."

The WingWhale's robotic arms deployed from the underbelly and picked up the small life-pod, taking into its small dock. The ship's AI placed the life-pod in the proper position and locked it down, closing the air tight hatch.

"Attention: All refugees are to report to the bridge for a debriefing. Doctor take the two wounded to the third deck, and treat their wounds and report to the bridge. Thank you."

Wing's voice rang out over the intercom, Aero rushed for the stairs. "Well I guess we're going to the bridge too!"

Maron stopped. "Maybe we should escort the one's he was talking to...what do you think Ris?"

When Maron took his hand, Ris didn't find anything strange about it at first. It seemed natural. Only after Wing's voice echoed through the hallways and the girl stopped in question did he really notice it. A light smile crossed his muzzle before he again forced himself to focus, looking to Maron.

'Well, I'm sure all the other UO know where to go by this point...'

Nodding, he said, "It might be best. Do you know where they are now?"

She shook her head, seeing a small diagram on the wall as she did. "Well here's a start...I'd guess they'd be here..." She pointed to the lowest deck. "Looks like a hanger. I'd imagine they'd be there." She smiled at Ris and nodded, "Well, shall we?"

Aero found her way to the bridge, and fell into the door way as the ship entered the atmosphere. Wing, without looking flew from his chair, pulled hr to his chest and managed to anchor himself on the control panel with his left hand.

"Ris send you here?"

She nodded. "Good, I need you to wait outside. The fleet fell under attack, we're the only ship that survived, we just picked up a life pod, and are pursuing the ship that attacked us. It grabbed hold of another one of our ships and dragged it to the surface...that we're about to see."

It was a rush of information, she thought he'd forgotten who he was speaking to, but then it all clicked. She nodded and passed a salute, finding her way out of the bridge, not wanting to leave his protective embrace, but she was given a task.

"The survivors from the life pod are on their way here, I need you to take their names for me okay?"

"Yes sir!" She called through the closing Bridge door.

Giving the diagram she indicated a quick glance over, the fox nodded, his tail beginning to swish now that they had a plan of action. "Sounds good. We'll get them and then meet up with Wing, right?" It was more of a rhetorical question, and that being said, Ris started down the hall towards the lower deck, Maron by his side.

'Wing knows those guys, right? I mean, they won't be any trouble...Right?'

Maron and Ris found the lower deck rather quickly.

"You there! Where is the medical ward?"

Maron hesitated, "Second deck..."

"Right you heard her, get these men to the second deck now!" Two men rushed past the pair, they were deck workers assigned to the WingWhale at their last stop. "Y-yes sir!" The Doctor raced paced the duo as well, just as a armor clad woman stepped before them.

"Well the rest of us" She gestured to the other five workers and UPA officers, all quite young, no older than Maron. "Are supposed to find the bridge, are you here to escort us?"

Maron nodded. "Yes, we'll take you to Wing. Please follow us." For the first time Maron realized she was holding Ris's hand and let go rather quickly, she was only embarrassed given the new people on the ship, otherwise, it felt so natural.

"Good, please lead the way then. I'm eager to see this Wing again...he struck me as very very interesting. I'm happy I'll get the chance to speak with him."

Maron nodded slowly. "Right, follow me please."

"A young Vulpine, not very common in this sector. This is quite a rag tag bunch, just like all the rumors said."

Ris' tail grew still again as Maron let go of his hand. It wasn't just that she didn't want to but at how she acted towards it.

'Don't dwell on it. It happens.'

As the two began leading the others to Wing, Ris' ear gave a few quick twitches at the remark, somewhat offended although it probably wasn't meant to be. "I do hope there's nothing wrong with my being here. After all, I'd hate to be a nuisance."

The knight let out a laugh. "No no, the more the merrier. I think its wonderful you've found yourself some friends."

Maron had had enough. "You do well to keep your mouth shut. After all you're a quest on this ship. Wing didn't have to take you aboard and knowing what I know about him. I know he wishes you weren't on that life pod. We are a team here, no matter what color or race. All are welcome in the Uo so long as they up hold the values set down by the senior members!" She took Ris's hand again> "And if I want to hold his hand, I will!"

She started walking again, hand and hand with Ris.

"I never said anything about your hand holding. I thought it was a buddy system sort of thing. Oh, and you'd do well to hold your tongue. This group is on the borderline of being a fugitive organization. One good deed isn't going to protect you all forever." She paused. "But I'm sure you both no nothing about this groups past deeds. Lets just say, you are being deceived."

Maron shook her head and led the group of six to the bridge level. Aero stood by the bridge door, and started to take down everyone's name, coming to the Knight last.

"Um, name please?" She asked the daunting figure. The Knight had put her helmet on on their way up

"It doesn't matter. I don't need t answer you. I only wish to speak to Wing."

Aero frowned and got a look from Maron. "Sure..."

She knocked on the door, and Wing slipped out. Xane was prepping the ship to land, and as result all the shades had been shut on the sky deck/bridge.

"Glad to see you're alive. I am sorry for your losses. We are pursuing the forces that attacked us in hopes we can save one of the UPA ships it captured..."

"Yeah yeah, give me the radio, I'll have a squad here in minutes to force these people to obey us." The Knight tried to push past Wing, but he thrust her back with a small wind spell.

"You'll excuse my rudeness, but I'll be giving the orders here. We don't need the knights interfering with this operation. I'm trying to avoid fighting right now."

She reached back a gauntleted hand and smacked Wing across the cheek. "You listen and you listen good you filthy deserter. I have authority here, not you."

Wing smirked, his cheek bright red. He raised his hands and thrust them at the Knight, twilight rippled through her, cutting through her armor. He chuckled as it fell to pieces in front of him, leaving her barely clothed.

"You have no authority here. This is wild space. You lost jurisdiction the day the Ultimate Organization killed Rider. You because a sub group of the UPA duirng the war, and had no power at all you were kept for show. People soon learned you were just a figure head and you've all but lost control of every city your pathetic group commanded."

She fell to her knees, tears streaming from her eyes. "Bastard....how dare you humiliate me..."

"Humiliate you? You did that the second you joined the Knights."

"You were one of us once..."

He smirked "Wrong, I was a guardian, an elite group over the knights. Anyway, on to pressing matters. I need you to all come with me, there are weapons in the lower deck we can lend you in case things get dicey. Otherwise, no one has authorization to start any fighting. We want to gain these people's trust if possible. Is that understood?"

"Sir" Aero and Maron said in unison.

Ris was surprised by Maron's outburst. He didn't know she was like that. Nevertheless, he was both impressed and proud that she would stand up for him. It made him all the more happy to hold her hand.

Once they reached the bridge, yet more things happened which caught him by surprise. The knight slapping Wing, Wing's display of twilight and his own authority, the weeping woman...It was all one big effect of the mess they had gotten into. When Wing began talking to everyone, Ris' eyes snapped from the woman on the floor to him, paying close attention to his orders. Once Wing was finished, he nodded, replying with, "Right." At this point the fox again cast his eyes on the pitiful knight. He felt bad for her, but he also felt that she deserved it. The vulpine repressed a sigh with a flick of his tail; he hated mixed feelings.

Wing watched as the group left the sky deck and headed for the hanger to gather supplies. He walked past the knight, and looked over his shoulder.

"I told you to never find me. Now you do and try to humiliate me. I spared you that day, I never wanted to hurt you, you know that. Lauren...you should have stayed at the academy in Laurenska. Now you kneel on the floor ashamed. Things have changed now, I'm stronger than I was the day we toppled the knights."

He paused taking a breath, "Im sorry for what I had to do, but you left me no choice. Right now this group needs a leader, and I wasn't about to let a Knight try and show me up. So come on, we'll get you some clothes, and you can stop pretending to be a knight."

Lauren stood slowly, drying her eyes. She was a beautiful young woman in her early twenties, with flowing brown hair and pink eyes. She was a native of Laurneska, the highly advanced nation to the north of Prism. The two had met when Wing was training to be part of the Guardian Corps. They had been fast friends and rivals, but Wing would beat her out for the spot in the Guardian's Ranks. She left Laurenska at the first utterances of the Ultimate Organization, and tried to stop the group from rising to the height it did, until she found Wing among them.

"You know, if you hadn't been in the Organization, I would have had it crushed..." Wing smirked, placing a hand on the small of her back, leading her to the dormitories. "So would a lot of people. There were close ties between the groups...but our members held bitterness towards you all...and part of me say most of the knights knew that, and agreed, hence why those knights are still living."

He left her at the door to an empty room and headed for the Hanger.

"Well that was interesting..." Maron said as they walked into the hanger. "I've never seen Wing display his power like that..."

Aero shook her head... "He really hates the Knights...they did after all occupy Cerina and all of Prism for a while...I heard the rumors of the group that took them out of the country, but never would have guessed it was Wing and the Organization."

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Ris on Thu May 06, 2010 7:59 pm

"I'd never even heard of those knights before." Ris mumbled honestly, though he was sure they already knew that. "But yeah, Wing's powerful...Hey..." Looking between the two, he hesitantly asked, "Did either of you feel bad for her, though? I mean, at all?" The vulpine was hoping he wasn't alone, but he wouldn't be too surprised if he was. It was hard for him to judge either the knight or Wing, though, as he hardly knew about either of them, let alone their history together.
