Kyle had just finished college a few days ago in Honolulu, it wasn't the best college in the world but at least he had some qualifications. He needed it if he wanted a career, and that too in his dream city New York. Kyle lived alone with his grandparents as his parents had died in a car accident when he was still a child. It was early morning, and Kyle had prepared prepared breakfast for his grandparents, helped them up, fed them their medicine then left to go to the beach and to do some surfing, it was his biggest hobby of all. The sound of the waves, being alone everything about surfing made him relax he loved it.

Roma was just coming back from her afternoon class in college for PR business as her parents wanted her to follow on in their family business, she was so tired after a long day. As she opened the door to her house, she found her brothers in a middle of a play-fight on the floor, she groaned and shouted for the nanny to come and get them out of the way. She clambered over them walking to her room, she fell on the bed then decided to make an effort to get up change her clothes. She opened her macbook placing it on her lap, checking through emails and what-not.

Kyle, continued surfing for hours on end when he noticed it getting late and he should be home. As he dried himself off walking back to his house which wasn't that far from here. As he reached home, he heard the TV blaring a news channel he sighed walking in and turning the volume down. As he was about to leave his grandfather stopped him. "Kyle, son we have to go some friends house tonight you know for dinner" he said.
Kyle sighed hoping this wasn't one of his grandfather's hallucinations "Whose house is it?" he asked, while tiding up the kitchen.
"You know our local neighbours, the really friendly ones with the young daughter whats her name again?" his grandfather said pondering over the name. "Layla" said his grandmother who had a much better memory than her husband.
Kyle nodded "Okay" his family had been good friends with theirs for a very long time back to when Kyle's parents were alive, Kyle walked to his room get changed and go to work. Kyle worked in the local beach store, it was his favourite place and he had some pretty good friends there. Kyle didn't exactly have to work, as his parents had left him quite a bit of money but he inisisted in case of any emergency.

Roma was on skype with a few friends talking about some plans for tonight to visit a new restaurant in town seeing as she wasn't doing anything, her brothers were in good hands and her parents wouldn't be back late. As she finished her call, she got up to look through her closet for anything she could wear. She flicked through some clothes not deciding anything. She sighed, changing into casual clothes to go for a shopping trip. She grabbed her purse before walking out hugging her brothers goodbye and getting into her black Mercedes. Upon arriving the mall, she walked around many shops buying a few things but she still hadn't found a good outfit. She was texting on her phone when she passed a small boutique, which had a pink dress in display. She walked in asked about the dress, and found out it was the last one she smiled and handed over her credit card without even checking the price, she also bought some matching shoes. Roma walked out the shop happy with herself, and the purchase. She drove home to get dressed.
