Ariel's decent was a nostalgic one. It had been many years since she'd last been on the lovely blue planet and walked among the people. She yearned to take in the beauty of the cherry blossoms and the flowers. Her lord had given her a relatively simple assignment. A demon from hell had risen to Earth and had lately been killing one person after another. It was up to her to cast down this demon or seal it away to protect the innocent.

She arrived in a tourist section of England near the ancient castles and old ruins. The target in question is said to have taken up residence in one of them. Ariel planned to pose as a tourist and investigate. She wore a white dress that accentuated her long black hair. The wind played delight across her delicate skin like the caress of a lover. The world was alive with energy and exuberance.

Ariel made her way through the crowded streets and the throng of tourists to Darkholm Castle. A suiting place for the hell spawn to dwell. She reached up a hand and ran a hand through her hair and decided on her act as tourist. Now she just had to find the man. As she approached the castle she saw a sign near the door that said "Open for Tours between 9 A.M. and 6 P.M." She smiled and made her way into the towering structure.
There is a place within each of us where we cannot escape the truth; where virtue sits as judge. To admit the truth of our actions is to go before that court, where process is irrelevant. Good and evil are intents, and intent is without excuse.

The scream echoed all throughout the upper levels of the castle as the young woman scrabbled on the floor, trying to regain balance so she could run. No dice for her. A grey hand wrapped itself around her ankle and dragged her back into the darkness, where her scream gave way to nothing but a crack as two hands grabbed ahold of her face and turned it sharply to the left, snapping her neck. She fell to the floor, motionless, and Ethan sighed. That was the fifteenth; and he still wasn't back home.

Thankfully, he could shapeshift, but only a little; most of his powers had been drained being so far from hell, and he was sick of this Erath - it had been going to shit when died in a WW2 explosion, it was still going to shit now.

It was then he picked up on something downstairs; had someone come in? Crap. Rapidly shifting into his human form, he left the West Wing to greet his guest. Hopefully they'd be far more "pure" than those he'd killed so far. He could only get back in if he killed a true innocent, and none of the others had exactly been stain free.

He ran a hand through his dark hair, and deep green eyes darted around, looking for a hint of the people he'd killed; nothing. Thank God. He came to the staircase leading into the lobby of his temporary home, and smiled as she noticed the girl below. Something about her was different; his supernatural senses were on overdrive. He'd have to talk to her and find out what she was.

"Can I help you?"

Ariel turned at the sound of a man's voice. "Can I help you?" he asked politely. She turned to him with an angelic smile and said, "Actually I wanted to see about a tour. These things fascinate me. Are you a tour guide?" she asked. She turned and looked around at the ancient walls and towering stone of the castle. It really was fascinating to her even if it wasn't the real reason she was here. "This place is just extraordinary." she exclaimed.
