U.S.S. Valkirye (Galaxy Class Dreadnaught) ( )

The Galaxy Class dreadnaught (Type-III Variant) was an enormous ship. It was roughly the size of a small town, and had the power to destroy countries. Of course it’s purpose was one of much less consequence, but equal value. Exploration. Nothing was more obvious once you boarded the ship. It was filled with science and medical labs, and even had rooms dedicated to Stellar Cartography, and Astrometrics.

However it was on Deck 16 where the heart of this gentle beast lived. Engineering. From all over the ship, you could hear the pulsing of the Warp core, as it fed all the systems with much needed power. Every second, it’s matter/antimatter reaction chamber (MARC) would pulse from the explosive combination of two materials, sending power down the various power coils.

While used for exploration, the ship’s weapons and security systems were the most powerful in Starfleet. Along the corridors were secret compartments in the walls, which housed phaser compression rifles, hand phasers, personal shields, and even phaser turrets to defend key points inside the ship. However in order to even have to use these, the enemy would have to defend against the Valkirye’s 18 main phaser strips, It’s type X Phaser Cannon, it’s dual pulse phaser turrets, not to mention blast through it’s regenerative shield generator. From a tactical standpoint, she was nothing less than a moving base.

As of late, the ship has been docked in Gilgamesh 7 for repairs after being rendered nearly useless by 3 Borg cubes. It's internal corridors, or what remained of them, lay in ruin. Force fields blocked off the more severely damaged areas and the turbolifts were offline, forcing the crew to use Jefferies tubes to travel from deck to deck. Many areas had been lit ablaze from the ruptured EPS conduits all over the ship. Wiring hung from the ceiling, as sparks rained from lights. Not all decks were in ruins though. Most of the saucer section was habitable, and the neck of the ship only had slight microfractures.

In the Galaxy class vessel, various repair techs would surround the vessel, as a brand new Warp Core, built with upgraded technology from the Gamma quadrant, was moved, 4 Mr. Ball mobile units moving it from the fabrication department to be placed in the core. It was a bit more efficient than the base model which came from the Utiopia shipyards, but years of technology would do that to basic antimatter-matter designs. New weapons systems were being worked on, as they installed a quantum torpedo launcher, and several disruptor weapons, as well as an improved phase cannon system.

Elevators would be replaced, as the techs and their space suits, would be working to attach more parts to the hull, but as for now, spare energy was transferred via massive energy lines, the links transferring power to add to the ship's soon to run out fuel supply. Techs would be working on the internal weapons, adding new parts, removing worn crystals, and adding power to the phasers. "Such an contraction, an exploration ship, more armed than some cruisers.." This was now Maria's project, as she wanted to make this ship even better than the Defiant models..

Repairs went on, as armored men took apart damaged sections, installing new computer circuits, more advanced processors, the techs heading to the main computer core to upgrade it to new standards.
It seemed as if half of the ship was full of boarders, looking to make that ship faster and stronger than ever. “Sorrielos said the Fed ship should be leaving there 20% stronger than when it arrived, so work double hard!” the foreman said, “Make sure those fighters get in too, I want that ship to be supreme!” With that, work went on, the federation vessel now hard locked with Gilgamesh 7's repair section.

Several hours earlier
A fox like creature clad in leather sat on a chair as his crew milled around during the warp space travel. A crew member bumped into him and immeditly got down and started apologizing, but the captain was too busy immeresd in the charts. " Navigator, how much longer until the Archimonde fueling station?" A human who sat there consulted the charts and said, " Uh estimated 4 hours." The captain nodded and prepared to let the first officer take the bridge when there was a lound explosion. " Captain! Warp core has overheated. We're coming out of warp space!" THe captian snarled when suddenly there was electric flaiing. The everything went black as people were screaming.
Present

A hand shook the captain awake and he blinked. " Captain, we've dropped back into normal space, but beyond our maps..." His first officer said. As the captain looked around, Some of his crew was dead at akward angles and blood smeared the viewscreen and the walls. He attempted to get up, but he gritted his teeth as a wave of pain shot through his leg. Probaly fractued he thought. He climbed into his seat as his crew brought the wounded to the infarmy. " Status report." He expected some damage, but not what he heard. " Our foward cannons A-K are damaged and only L-M are active. The thrusters are shot as well as the warp core. The engines max is 45%. Electircty is also at 30% and our supplies are dangerously low. THe galley was hit pretty hard. We aren't the pirate frigate were now." Growling the captain turned towards the bloody view screen when a station came up. " Hail the station, and try to hide our stataus as pirates, we don't know if their friendly or not."

“Welcome to Gilgamesh 7,” a voice said over the com, “Shut down your weapons, we will repair you as soon as possible, you are leaking and in danger of a low level warp core failure…” the voice was clear, as the Mobile Units prepared to escort the vessel into the repair levels.. This was the usual, mysterious ships getting damaged, such was work. What else could happen was an unknown. This ship did not match anything seen out in known space, but that is why Gilgamesh was there, to map the unknown, and be a beacon for the wrecked...

HIs new communications officer, his previous thrown against the bulkhead and snapped his neck, was still young and inexperienced and also jumpy. " C..Captain. Orders?" The captain kicked off the medic and replied, " Tell them we accept the offer and if there is a better medical facility and hey what's that ship docked over there?" The view screen zoomed in on a massive ship and he recalled something from his studies. The Fed whatchamacallit . " Oh and if they could to the Fed ship. I heard they have state of art medicine. We pirates have none. And the rest of you, shore leave for now. And let no fact slip out we're pirates. The empire, Imperial Domain, etc. may be looking for us."

The weapons on the ship powered down as the crew's engineers attempted to stabilize the core fruitlessly while others cleared out the debris and bodies. Whatever remained then went onto the station to get away from the now bloody ship as those most injured were rushed out. The captain remained on board for the repairmen as he thought to himself, " The warp core wouldn't fail on it self, and I swear there was a green flash when it happened..." He sent out a small probe that videoed the hull. Aside from a crater from a laser blast and the internal meltdown it was in-- wait crater? It seemed to have been made by a heavy laser cannon. He huffed and sent his slaves, servents, whatever to sell his stuff on the black market. It was strange how both his ship and the Fed ship had laser scorching sof the same kind....

The crew would be stopped, blocked by armed troopers and power armor figures, as the bulkheads behind them would be locked. “You cannot leave this sector,” the lead officer said, his weapon’s safety still on, “You may have borg aboard your vessel, and until we can run full decontamination, you will not be allowed to leave the Repair Bay. It was a plain and frank order, as the repair crews searched for borg parts. Borg were a bad thing,

“Commander,” a tech said, “Apparently the borg are pretty busy in this sector, damage is pretty bad…” the marks of borg weapons, crude yet powerful were clear, “We might have to send Archer out after all…” It was odd, watching the quarantined crew squirm, as the local authorities prepared to search them all.

The captain turned his chair to find armored figures marching up the path. His senior officers growled and unholstered their weapons. The captain shook his head, " What are you doing? You stopped my crew for no reason and holding them on their own ship. What's the meaning of this?" His personal guards turned off the safetry of their rifles and slowly stepped closer.

A technician removed the cowling of the warp core/drive and studied it. He mummuered as he wiped his bloody hands off when he noticed unknown drones floating in.

The local defense forces aimed their main rifles, automatic weapons at the crew in unison, as their leader, started to say, “We have weapons twenty times the power of your damaged ship, and we are using phase disrupters. Do not try to leave this vessel. You are under quarantine, until we can confirm a lack of aliens in your ship. You will not be allowed to leave this bay. Welcome to Gilgamesh 7, enjoy your stay,” the leader said, as several mechs, using the lower gravity to navigate the bay, aimed their beam weapons and automatic rifles upon the ship. If it tried to run, it would be shot at, and most likey destroyed.

“The man said again, “There is clear reason, if you did not hear, Borg infestation is likely, and according to Protocol Alpha Wolf, you can’t be allowed inside the non repair bays, or near the proper medical bays. Medical teams are inbound, but until we confirm clean scans, we won’t let anything go.

One of the repair crews noticed the probe, aiming his disrupter rifle at it, before firing several bots. “We might have borg, code green,” the man said, his face covered in the NBC protective suit mandated by union safety standards. “Damn robo-vampires…”

The captain grabbed his chief of secuirty and barkes at him with their native tounge. The chief look dejected as he left. The captain turned around again and spoke in a calmer voice, " Borgs? I've heard of them from the pirate lords who traveled too far once. But what are they?" It was a more curious tone now then the anger it had held.

The technician ran away from the repair crew when he saw another probe come up behind him. He withdrew his pistol and fired it off randomly severing some coolant pipes but destroying the probe. He ran to the bridge where there was talk. " Captain Xylek! There are probes in enginnering. Unknown and hostile. He looked over and saw the other group and backed away.
