In a small human town, Rocky Point, there are two large vampire covens. These two covens are the Hailite Family and the Forrest Family. Of course, none of the humans know the truth about these vampires but they all do notice how unusually perfect these people are. The two covens rarely feast off of humans and when they do it is miles away from the town. The vampire clans live in harmony but they do despise eachother. They have recently taken in new vampires and these vampires have been having feeling for vampires in the opposite coven and even for some humans.

Mircale woke up around nine o'clock on Saturday morning. It was cloudy like usual loutside but it was still pretty warm and atleast it wasn't raining. She shuffeled over to her closet where she pulled out a grey sweatshirt, jeans and a white tanktop. She lazily threw them on and walked downstairs to where her mother was probably already making breakfast.
Her mother and her had been living in Rocky Point for three years. Her father had left when she was only a few weeks old and her mother was determined to raise a smart and better off daughter. She didn't want Mircale dating until she was atleast in college and Miracle hasn't dated much or atleast not while she was in Rocky Point. She actually hasn't went out with one person during her time here although she has had the longest and fullest crush on Andrew Forrest. Something about him dragged her closer and closer, wanting to know more and more but she knew he wasn't interested so he never said anything to him.

Trace layed on the sidewalk leading up to the Forrest mansion lazily. It was another boring day with nothing to do. He had just finished hunting and was bored out of his mind. It wasn't a school day which meant he wouldn't get to see Kaleigh Hailite, the girl he loved although he knew he shouldn't be mixing with the other vampire clan. They're families had always been enemies but Trace loved Kaleigh and nothing his family said would change that.

A soft melody resounded through the first floor halls of the Hailite mansion, different tones intermixing with one another. Those of a grand piano behind which Kaleigh sat. Her eyes closed, she let her fingers soar almost effortlessly over the keys, the story that she was creating with the music unfolding in vivid images in her head. The day was proving to be a quiet, uneventful one. There was no school, just time to relax and enjoy herself. Thus here she was, playing a melody that now let go of the soaring high notes to take on a lower, darker tone.

If there was one thing that Kaleigh still had from her human life it was playing the piano. A talent that she had worked to perfect over the last century, a link that still kept her memories of the past fresh in her mind. Though painful at times, she chose to keep them with her regardless of the sadness that they brought with them sometimes.

A soft light trilling entered the music now as Kaleigh opened her eyes with an almost concealed smile, now watching her fingers’ progress along the keys.

Beverly heard the faint sound of a piano from inside her "family's" home. The second she heard it she knew it was Kaleigh. Beverly didn't like the music at all unlike everyone else. It practically hypnotized her. It always led her off task being too sweet and tranquil for her tastes. If she had heard the music three or four weeks ago as a human thinks would be a lot different for the nine year old but now she had become a pessimiss[sp].

Like usual, the music led Beverly back to the house where she quitely walked over to the grand piano that Kaleigh was seated at. Staring at the gracefully moving hands, Beverly stood there not making a noise, just watching contently.

ZAP! A bolt of lightning surged from behind a row of towering pine trees and collided with a giant brown bear. The animal, thoroughly stunned, tumbled down the mountain side, bouncing off boulders and snapping branches until it finally came to rest at the shore of the river below. It's eyes were wide, fearful and darting to and fro, afraid that in its current state it would be easy prey for another bear.

But another bear did not come. A tall, slightly pale man with cropped hair and a stoic expression on his face emerged from the trees, his swirling, sparkling green eyes examining the bear hungrily. "I must thank you for providing me with the sustenance I need," Alphonse said in a quiet, almost melodic voice. "I apologize for using that trick on you. While I do love a good hunt, I just was not in the mood on this fine, misty morning." Indeed, there was a light rain falling from the sky, covering Alphonse's bare torso with a shiny, glistening sheen.

"I will make this quick, for your sake, great brown bear." In a fluid motion, Alphonse snapped his jaws tight over the jugular vein, drawing from it the blood he needed to survive. Within moments, the bear was gone, the fluid in his veins completely drained. The color in Alphonse's eyes became just a bit brighter, now clearly sparkling in the dim, cloud-filtered morning sunlight. Within a few seconds, he skirted past familiar obstacles, ascended several trees and jumped between rickety branches, landing himself on the roof of his home without a sound.

"Brother, why are you lying on the ground?" Alphonse asked of Trace, his voice mildly curious. "Not thinking of sneaking out again, are you? I would advise against such gallivanting."

In a fraction of a second, Alphonse was lying at Trace's side, observing the same patch of sky that he was. "If you're feeling idle, why not pay a visit to the town? Or, perhaps if you're feeling more adventurous, seek out a werewolf or two and have a little contest?" Alphonse was smiling now, watching the clouds go by and allowing the rain to drip down his cheeks as he gazed towards the sky.

"Or, you and I could play for a bit, though you would inevitably lose," Alphonse said with a slight tone of superiority in his voice. After another minute or two, he disappeared from Trace's side and was in the library of the Forrest Mansion, carefully scanning the pages of an old and ragged tome emblazoned with the Forrest family crest. The page that he was currently examining had a picture of the members of the Forrest coven, each person labeled with a name written in calligrapher's ink.

"Hm, if what I've been feeling is true, there's going to a bit of trouble around here in the near future..."

Adrienne walked out of the vast forest and down the dirt path. There were rarely humans traveling along the path so it was fit for the Hailite family's hunting grounds. There was always the problem of the Forrest clan stealing all of the prey during the winter months but that was just another reason on the list why she hated them.

As the trees cleared away Adrienne could see the large, white Hailite mansion and as she approached it she could hear a magical song being played on the piano. She knew that it was Kaleigh. She was extraordinary with music. Piano especially.

Adrienne silently pulled open the elegant white door and walked into the living room where she fell boredly onto the white leather couch, listening to the music but bored of having to hear it twenty times a day. She noticed Beverly also listening and rolled her eyes. Beverly was the youngest and newest addition to the clan and one of the youngest vampires ever. At only nine years old she was surely a pessimist and pretty bratty too so Adrienne didn't bother with her often.

Kaleigh was so absorbed in her playing that she barely noticed the entrance of the two girls. Though she did feel that awareness of not being alone anymore. As the melody slowed, she chanced to lift her hazel gaze from her fingers to look around the room. Her attention first wandered to Beverly, the newest addition to their family. It seemed that every time she sat down at the piano and started playing, the young vampire gravitated towards her. And while she could see the content in the girl’s eyes, Kaleigh knew that on some level the music irritated her.

Another look around showed her Adrienne reclining on the couch. Kaleigh let slip a soft smile to her before averting her gaze to the white grand piano before her once more just as the tempo of the music changed. The piece of music stretched easily beyond a half hour, taking many twists and turns from dark brooding tones to the soaring high notes that reflected the sunniest of days. And finally as the final notes sounded, Kaleigh ran her fingers lightly along the keys before sitting back and pulling her hands into her lap. She looked around to the other two girls, not much minding an audience. She was quite used to playing while those who were bored wandered around or sat to listen to the music.

“How was the hunt?” she asked Adrienne, her tone of voice soft and somewhat quiet. She was still partially lost in the story of her song but knew it would soon dissipate as her mind fully returned back to the present.

Adrienne smiled and shurrged.
"Decent enough. Those filthy Forrests are taking over the larger animals. All I got were a few deer," She replied, annoyed.
"Nice playing," She commented as she looked around the room boredly. She noticed that Beverly had semed not to like the music and was still standind there silently.
"Beverly, want Kaleigh to take you hunting?" She asked, shooting Kaleigh an innocent smile. Adrienne didn't really like bothering with new vampires.

Kaleigh couldn’t help but sigh inwardly to herself. She never understood the whole feud between the two houses. Both sides were vampires trying to coexist in a world full of humans. And truth be told, she was a bit intimidated by some of the eldest vampires in the Forrest clan. Even grew a liking for a few of them. Though despite this she still always sided with her own family for obvious reasons.

“Times like these, there is less larger animals around,” she reminded Adrienne before glancing over to Beverly. She really didn’t mind taking the younger ones out for a hunt. She had done it several times now. “Still…” she thought aloud. “Maybe we need to widen our hunting grounds.”

The beautiful sound of the music echoed throughout Beverly's head even after it was done being played. It was so musical yet it irritated her. She jumped when she was brought back to reality at the sound of the other's voices.

She shrugged once she realized that they had been talking to her. "No. I went out earlier," She said quietly, still staring at the large, white piano. "Don't play that anymore."

The front door of Forest mansion groaned loudly as Meryll pushed it open. She frowned and closed it back behind her. Her plan had been to leave quietly but that dream had just been murdered. I should have just jumped out of a window like I had decided before she thought bitterly.

She smelled her brothers before she saw them lying in the middle of the driveway staring at the sky. She raised and eyebrow curiously. Weirder things have happened... She pulled her cardigan sweater closer around her and began down the drive. When she reached them she cast a shadow and blocked their view of the sky. Then she smiled.

"Are there any UFO's we should know about?" she didn't pause long enough for them to answer.

"Never mind.I'm going into town, would you like to come with me?"
She decided that since there was nothing else to do they might as well go find some fun.

OOC: Lauren always likes people to wait to be accepted and the humans in this RP do not know about the vampires. They think they are normal people so your character doesn't really fit in.

"She can play whenever she wants, kid," Adrienne said to Beverly, rolling her eyes. She slowly got up from the couch and made her way out of the room. "You should go hunting soon though, you look thirsty."

Adrienne walked outside and got into her silver BMW convertable. She pulled out of the driveway and quickly made her way into town.

Kaleigh glanced to the piano, a small smirk forming on her lips at the young girl’s words. “I can’t not play it,” she replied to her. It was true. She knew that there were at least a couple of vampires around who would have preferred to not have to listen to the music on a daily basis at this point. She found herself wondering, though how Beverly could be one of them. She had only been at the mansion a short span of a few weeks but even that much had already caused her to become very pessimistic.

Getting up, Kaleigh reached out to lightly ruffle up Beverly’s hair. She was sure that with some time the young one would figure everything out. She knew what it was like to be turned and thrown into their world. It took her a long time to adjust when it had happened to her. “I’m going out as well,” she said with a glance to Adrienne. Suddenly she didn’t feel like staying in the house even though she had fed only an hour or so ago. Maybe she could check out a new area of the forest for hunting grounds.

She left the house as Adrienne drove off, glancing up to the sky briefly as she set a trail course deeper into the forest, letting her feet guide her for the moment, her thoughts still buried deep within the song that was still playing in her head.
