Elle could feel her crimson eyes burning through the dark brown contacts that covered her large eyes. She stared down at the black chemistry desk, waiting for the last bell to ring. It was April 19th, The Moores first day of school, and the last day of school at Penticon High School before spring break. Normally for seniors, or really any human teenager, this meant partying and taking trips down to Florida or California - places that weren't always dark and dreary. This was the exact opposite of what Elle or any of the other vampires could do, and she hated humans for it. It wasn't their fault that she had been bitten one hundred and seventy five years ago, but she resented them for being able to live and die.
Elle was pretty sure that her contacts had dissolved fully, and so she couldn't have been any happier when last period bell rang. Good vibes circulated her as young people with wide smiles filled the hallways and pushed towards the door to exit school. Elle followed them, but she wasn't excited or revived to know that she wouldn't have to enter the building of learning for another two weeks. It's not like she enjoyed being in a building filled with humans, because she really didn't, but to Elle it was a game. She liked to see how long she could keep herself from wanting to take a bite out of these delicious smelling humans. Elle was very competitve, and she always liked the have herself win against the temptation.
Walking outside, Elle smiled at the light breeze that pushed her firey hair off of her pale skin. She slid a pair of red sunglasses over her face, knowing that would minimize the stares she would get as her flaming eyes would not be visible. Once she reached the red BMW that she owned, she leaned against it, waiting for her "siblings". As Elle gazed around, she caught many of the humans staring at her with odd expressions. It was a normal reaction from humans, but Elle didn't like all of the attention. She wanted the humans to hate her, not think she was some sort of exhibit, so that she would have a good reason to hate them back. Humans weren't friends. They were meals. Elle hoped the other vampires felt the same. Being in a building filled with these humans, Elle knew that atleast one of the vampires might find one that they wanted to be-friend and Elle didn't want to have to hate one of her siblings too.
