This is an ancient time,a time of unrest.A new evil has risen in our world,and is spreading like wildfire.Rumors have surfaced of entire villages being wiped out,Kingdoms destroyed,and entire races being enslaved.We do not know who is behind this horrible treachery,but a call is going out to all Dragon Riders,for help to find out who is behind this,and to rid our world of this evil and who or what is behind it.
It has been agreed upon by the Elder Riders that the Riders should gather in Faeirn Turnst,a city in the Forged Mountains where the first Dragon's Keep,and Riders rest were built,and were so well named.The Dragons caves in these mountains serve as the nesting grounds for all Dragons.Only those most trusted and loyal are permitted around the caves.
Riders and Dragons are bonded together only in ways they can understand..they are linked,heart,mind and soul,and would die for each other,and their offspring.A baby Dragon is more valuable than gold,and a young Rider is rare,and both must be guarded well until trained.Dragon's Keep is where all Riders get there first lessons,some remember it fondly,while others try to forget.

It is here that we Dragon Riders return,and reunite,different races,ages,abilities,and knowledge....waiting..

Our Keep is set in the mountains,built out of the mountain itself,The first of our races came because they heard the call of their dragons.For some the call was so strong they made perilous journeys barely scraping by with what life they had in them as they discovered the source of what was pulling them to this place. These were Our first Riders,and now those who have lived on serve as our Council Elders,our Teachers and Masters.
Dragons Keep was Built,and Riders Rest,to house the growing number of Riders,and the servants around the keep.It is high in the mountains with breathtaking views of the sky,and the city below.The city Faeirn Turnst soon grew to meet the needs of the keep drawing in a mixture of different types with all sorts of talent.
The Keep is designed to allow easy access for both Dragon and rider,with large balcony type landing areas consisting of stone perches for the dragons to catch hold of on the upper levels,(described as dragon catches)created both can enter the keep safely.
The inside of the keep was carved out of the stone from the mountain itself and there are winding staircases that take you to the various levels. Beautiful works of art adorn the keep,and if you retreat to the lower levels you would find the music chambers for these to have their value..This is a place of learning many skills not only battle,The central part of the keep contains a very large Meeting hall,A well stocked library of scrolls books,and documents,and the private studies of the elders. Riders rest exists to the north and the highest part of the keep so as to be close to the dragon caves.It is the home to those in training and is designed so rider and dragon can be together.

In our Time Our Land is called Shallohera.

Dragons name:Arrywn

Personality:Logical,intelligent,loyal,proud.(Don't hurt Meylyn,or you may be looking at a dragons.tooth)
Appearance:Large to medium sized,she is very sleek,built for speed,she is a Black dragon with silver scales that reflect in light,blue eyes the color of sapphires.

History:She was born in the Desert of Kerandua,but when she was 10 she traveled to Dragon's Keep with a host of other children,who were hopefuls to become Riders,she watched as one child after another had paired off with a Dragon as they hatched,but none had bonded to her.
Then as she had all but given up hope,a lowly dark Dragon egg rolled to her feet.The egg slowly cracked enough to show one blue eye,and then all at once The most gangly looking black Dragon exploded out of the shell,fragments flying everywhere.It was love at first sight.
Meylyn and Arrywn were then Trained at Dragons Keep,where she was allowed to return home after her training was complete.Upon returning home she found most of her kind were wary of
her and Arrywn,So she set about alone.


IC/: Meylyn paced the great hall"We must be the First to arrive." She thought.She walked over to an entrance that led to the dragon's catch,where Arrywn had landed and was resting.
"Peace my friend they are on their way,as well as your old master,whom I am sure you would be glad to see!"thought Arrywn in return.
Indeed this would be interesting..what was going on,a call to all the Riders had never happened,well,since..no she didn't want to think about that.
Were all these awful rumors true?She in heart knew something was up,both her and Arrywn sensed death,it hadn't come her way yet,but it was out there.
Were the Dragons in danger?Is that why the Riders were called here?The Babies were due to hatch soon,and if there was an attack here,and any eggs were lost...

How far into fantasy do you with the RP to go?

such as, can characters use the arcane studies and preform magical skills? like a mage casting fire?

or is all the magic reserved for the dragons, and the characters are mostly melee to archery type classes?

I'm interested to join, but wish to know the limitations.

Personality:Even for a relativly young dragon he is wise.Enjoys flying low to the ground instead of high, and dislikes dwarves(even though the owner does not)

History: Being the last child of the famed matron mother Arviel Dor'Zinilith, he was raised as a fighter. During a raid to a nearby cave when Vex was 75, he was touched by the ashen remains of a vampire, thus becoming one himself. When he was discovered, he was sentanced to death, but escaped, and wound up in a tunnel underneath the Forged Mountains. Stumbling upon a dragon cave, he was given an egg by one of the dragons Blind Keepers(special only to the black dragons), and raised him.

IC/: Meylyn shivered and wrapped her cloak tighter around her."i must get out of the desert more ."She thought as walked out to Arrwyn.She could hear a deep rumble of agreement in Arrywn's throat as she stroked the scales on her head.She tried to block out the old memories that were haunting her,and new fears that had come to mind. Her senses off.Something was just not right,and Arrywn felt it as well.
She looked off into the distance,and thought she could see another dragon arriving,to which she wondered who it was.She had not seen any other Riders for so long...

Appearance: She is blue all over, which makes her beautiful. her eyes go multi-coloured, depends on what mood she is in. she is also very very big and powerful

Arrywn nudged Meylyn and stood up to stretch,playfully snorting on her."You can not change what has happened in the past,only move forward to learn from past mistakes." She thought making sure that Meylyn was listening.
She sure could be stubborn for a female of her race,Arrywyn could not count how many times she had to reason with her as they had gone through training together.As a child Meylyn hated authority and that tended to get them in a lot of trouble.Stubborn as She was,Arrywyn wanted no one else,Meylyn was one of a kind,no matter what...she was Meylyn.
Arrywyn watched as the next arrival was flew in to to the next dragon"s catch.It had been a long time since she had seen another of her kind,yes to long.

Age: 21 (appearance) Real age: Not shared! she's a woman, of course
Race: Half elf
Gender: Female
Personality: Quiet, observant for the most part but not a pushover. Snarky and sarcastic at times.
Weapons: Several daggers of varying width and length hidden about her person in holsters. Her favorite ones are twin silver daggers sheathed on her wrists with sapphire-embedded hilts. A long sword is slung across her back in another holster for when more heavy-duty weaponry is needed. Her armor is a mostly comprised of black leather, allowing her to move quickly and silently if needed.
Appearance/pic: Long, black hair curls down to the middle of her back, which she sometimes keeps out of her face with a leather tie. Piercing sapphire eyes and a cream-colored complexion almost makes the long ragged scar down the side of her right cheek go unnoticed.

Dragons name: Liora
Age: 200
Gender: Female
Personality: Much like her rider, Liora is quiet until provoked. She seems to have an amazing sense of humor, for a dragon, and her love for treasure goes unmatched, even amongst her own kind.
Appearance: Liora is large for a female with white scales, making her stand out against her rider, with large violet eyes.


IC/: Celedia smacked Liora playfully on the side of her neck as the large white dragon completed it's fifth barrel-roll of the flight. "Are you trying to make me sick?!" the half-elf laughed, tightening her legs onto Liora's body as they flew swiftly thru the air. Her eyes quickly scanned the town below them and a frown set about her pale face. "Li, I don't see anyone down there are you sure....?" Her voice trailed off as Liora's thoughts flowed into her mind: "I see one! Down there, do you see them yet? What? Did you think I got lost on the way here or something?" The dragon plummeted towards the earth, landing gracefully at the edge of a cliff above the grounds.

"Are you ready for this?" Liora asked, "You haven't seen any other riders in so long..."
"What? You think I'm nervous? Bah! I live for meeting new people!" She let the grin fill her face and Liora just shook her head, flying the rest of the way down to meet the others. As soon as they landed, Celedia gracefully dismounted and kept close to Liora, pretending as if she were checking over the dragon as her gaze drifted over to the other rider, analyzing. "What do you think they're like, Li?" She asked, glancing up questioningly.
"I don't know. Let's go find out?" Liora thought, nudging Celedia with her nose.

Personality:
Zenatsu is a quiet boy, typically he never speaks, There are however, a rare few that do hear his voice, were only either his parents, or his most influential instructor. After his studies past his instructor. Zenatsu broke off and begun to research the magical properties of arcane magic. Where few have ventured to understand. The only amount of information that can be given about the boy, is that "where he sees potential progression, he wastes not time or effort to see it advanced" -Aruuth Brigad, Zenatu's instructor

Weapons:
Zenatsu dose not Harness enough skill to use any sort of weapon. However, he dose carry a rather mysterious glass ball encased in an elegantly designed metal wired case. It is unknown what this ball dose, but most conclude that it is the source of Zenatsu's power.

Magic
As many may know, Zenatsu is a magic user. His powers are viewed below:

Fire:
Harnessing the unpredictable flames. Zenatsu has full control of a very limited amount of flames to play with. Typically used in the form of a destructive fireball

Wind/Air:
Able to grasp the air around him, Zenatsu can only manipulate them to erupt a calming breeze to a forceful gale.

Arcane:
This field of magic has been understudied, not much is known about this type of element, however, Zenatsu has learned the protective arts, and can create a short lived barrier. that can block out most physical attacks

Meylyn and Arrywn had watched together as the new arrivals had landed.They were an interesting pair,The rider appeared to be of Elfin nature and and her Dragon was an amazing color of white.It was a stunning image,the two of them against blue scenery of the sky.Almost like they had been fashioned there by some ancient artist.
Arrywn voiced her approval with a low inner rumble,and Meylyn proceeded forward cautiously to greet them.She knew how protective dragons were so she didn't want to make any moves that might cause an unprovoked attack.Now she wished she had been a better student,and could remember the proper greetings for everyone.
She poorly blurted out what she thought was a greeting,and then realized her mistake when Arrywn,who normally is very composed..choked on what sounded like a dragon's laugh.
The other rider who had turned to greet her,looked stunned,and her dragon shocked ,but amused.
"Arrywn what did I say?" she asked mortified that she had just insulted the first rider and other dragon she had seen in a long time."You are in trouble again, you just told her to take her cloak off and eat it!"Arrywn thought back to her laughing.
