Where four opposites turn into one
IC || OOC
Hello, and welcome to the Four Academies, a prestigious school divided into four, Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. You are a student about to enroll in this school, and is put into whichever house based on your astrological sign. Here, you will learn the basics all schools have, but we don't focus on physical education or the other Arts, here you are educated in the Arts of Control, where you will find yourself controlling your element according to your astrological sign. Students come from all over the world to come to this very school on the edge of an undiscovered island. Here in the Four Academies, it is held secret to the normal world what we do, what talent we can perform. Your goal is to lead your house to the Four Academies Cup, a trophy handed to the house that performs best. Two electives will be chosen from each house, one boy and one girl, and battle the other electives in a Four Elements Showdown.
Will you be the one to lead your house to the Cup?

Ren smiled at the quickly filling four, long tables, each for the four different houses, Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. Here was another year, ten more months to play with Fire. Another chance to witness the Showdown, maybe even participate in it. Her eyes trailed over to the wall behind where the teachers and headmaster sat, where all tables were vertical, there's faced all the tables in a horizontal fashion. On the wall was an array of gleaming golden plates. Each plate had a large jewel the size of your palm encrusted in it, either a Ruby, Aquamarine, Emerald, or Topaz. Under the Jewel would be written in looping, elegant letters, the names of whichever two students (boy and a girl, they pair up and battle as tag team) brought their house to win the Showdown. Under the student's name's was the year of when they had brought their house to win.
Ren's head turned to the Headmaster, as he began to speak.
"Welcome to the Four Academies, another year full of education. I welcome the freshmen, and say another hello to returning students,"
The dinner hall burst into an applause, mingled with cheers and whoops. The Headmaster chuckled and raised his hand, the hall falling silent once again.
"We have a new set of rules and policy this year, so please be sure to check the list on your way out. You can not miss it, it's the large slab of gold with words written on it. As tradition, like we do every year, we will play our school anthem as the house banner rise. We have Ren Tai of Fire on the Violin. Now will you please stand up."
Ren nodded and the silent muffles of students standing seemed to calm her down. She set her black violin on her shoulder and set her string bow on the strings, closed her eyes, and let the bow glide over the first note. The Four Academies anthem had no words, it was just the tune. She knew behind her were the different house banners slowly rising, the Fire Banner rising from a flame of fire, the Water Banner rising from a small pool of water, the Earth Banner rising out of a flower blooming, and the Wind Banner materializing out of thin air. Ren smiled in content as the serene sound of her violin took over her emotions, her thoughts becoming one with the song. The anthem was beautiful, it was graceful and elegant, and after eight years of violin practice, she was more than loving the instrument. With a final pull of her bow, she opened her eyes and flashed a radiant smile, removing her violin from her chin and bowing down deeply. The hall burst into an applause and Ren bounced off the platform, heading for the Fire Table.
"Thank you for that lovely piece, Ren, and for the final words. Let the feast, begin!"
Piles of food were carried down by some butlers and cups were filled with choices of juice or soda, boats of gravy were laid out and mounds of vegetables were placed in front of everyone.
Kind of reminds me of Harry Potter... Ren thought, and set her violin into a case under her feet before digging in. Without the magic.
