Despite his appearance, Uehara Akira, a rather handsome and burly high school student, is a dainty, a feminine boy who is sensitive and demure by nature. While attractive, by no means is he popular, always avoided by his classmates. His childhood friend, Yanagihara Sato, is the only one to stand by his side.
On the way home from a particularly normal, Uehara Akira died, killed by a drunk driver--in broad daylight no less. He soon finds himself hovering as ghost over his broken body. His spirit began to rise as though he were being lifted into the heavens, but a surprisingly strong will to live consumed him. In an instant, some supernatural force pulls him away from the scene. He awakens to the white ceiling of hospital. He is overjoyed, thinking that he managed to survive and that his 'out-of-body' experience was just an awkward dream. However, he soon discovers the body he's inhabiting is not his own. The body is that of Kanzaki Akari, a young girl from his school, one who had been comatose for the past several weeks.
A monk-like spectre appears and informs Akira that his death was an untimely one, and because his desire to live on was so strong, it was decided that he be given a second chance at life. However, the only suitable substitute for his soul was this girl. He is given a choice: die or live in a female's body. Ultimately, the choice is made, and Akira, now Akari, is to live on as a female.
Uehara soon learns that Akari, though seemingly fragile and sensitive, was a frightening and violent girl. But now it seems Uehara in Akari's body is better liked by her peers. An unexpected complication soon arises: Sato, Akari's best friend when she was still a guy, develops feelings for her and confesses his love. Even after Akari convinces that she is Sato's late friend, his feelings remain unchanged.
The two try to remain friends, but Akari's unstable emotions and Sato's advances make things all the more confusing for both. Now begins the awkward romance...

Notes:
- I'll be playing the female lead (haha...), so really... someone just needs to be the... infatuated best friend.
- Name changes are negotiable.
- Literacy and proper grammar is strongly preferred. Honest mistakes are allowed (I make plenty myself).
