I like the buddy system. I think it's a good idea. I think we have about an equal split between tanks and softies/squishies, right? Maybe I'm just in favor of it because I'm playing said squishy lol

If we use the buddy system, I have dibs on Elros being my bodyguard ^_^

Yes, I think it is a relatively equal split. Although I'm not sure where I'd place Tolgen, since I have no experience with druids whatsoever. Never played one, never been the DM for one. It looks like he falls somewhere in the middle, perhaps leaning towards the "non-squishy" side.
With the wolf at his side, the odds are probably in favor of tank-hood.

With Tolgen counting as a tank, it'd be a 3/5 split; otherwise, it's an even 4/4.

Unless we want to count Lancet as a squishy. It's always been my experience that clerics are quite self-sufficient, but maybe not in this instance... I dunno.

I was bored one time and started up a solo 4E campaign as a cleric, with only a mace and my trusty companion Baldric at my side, and I did pretty okay.

Aaaanyway, Elros would be honored to escort Tanya. :D

I'll have Elros bring up the whole idea once we've slain the various R.O.U.S.'s, and we can take it from there. If some characters want to ignore the idea, that's fine too.

O heart, lament not, for this world is only metaphorical.
O soul, grieve not, for this abode is only transient.

Rats Of Unusual Size ... I love the 'Princess Bride' reference!

As for Tolgen, druids tend to be more support than melee characters, while their animal companion usually takes a place firmly beside the fighter. I've played a druid on occasion, and it's kind of a funny feeling knowing the wolf has more hp than you do ...

By the way, we need to stay clear of the rat swarm if it's a full blown 'swarm' type creature. Swarms deal automatic damage each round to anyone in their spread. Hopefully, the DM just meant a bunch of normal sized rats. I don't think the dire rats should be a problem, though.

Definitely not a 'swarm' type creature. Don't worry about automatic damage, there is none. Its just eight rats, and three dire rats rushing out of the largest doorway. They might not even attack! Or, they probably will. I love the Princess Bride. "Never go up against a Sicilian, especially when death is involved! Hahahahahaha*dies*"
Anyways, its just a bunch of normal sized rats. Swarm just happens to be a good description for it... :P

Okay, I'm back.
I didn't miss much though. For some reason, I thought you guys would be way into the dungeons by now... Guess I got lucky.

Anyway, as far as combat goes, would Saoirse not get to attack since her crossbow and other items are over by the entrance?
By which I mean, would getting up and retreiving them use up an entire turn or would she be aloud to get them and then attack in one round?

Well, she'd need to take a movement action to get there, and then probably a standard action to retrieve them (perhaps only a movement action, depending on the DM's discretion, but definitely not a free action, meaning that a third action would be out of the question).

Ohhhhh, right. Necro said something unexpected came up, and I haven't seen him come back yet. We'll just say that Roy is too drunk, and we'll hold off on Roy's turn (Skip his turn) for now, until Necro comes back. So whoever is next, go for it.

Also, you don't need to wait for me to post back! You can post until it is an enemy NPC's turn, or the end of a round; then wait for me to post, as I will give everyone the results of their rolls, etc. Also, if someone kills a monster, and someone else attacks that same monster after, and I have not posted saying the monster was killed I will automatically switch the attack to a different monster, or allow you to pick a different monster in your vicinity to attack.

Likewise, you can wait for me to post if you'd like. :)

OH my goodness!

i am sorry guys, my stupid computers won't let me access the interweb. i had to resort to the dang library.... sigh....

anyways, i can only be on for half an hour at a time until i get my setup good and running again.
soooo, as per my character, if everybody is going to be taking several turns in my absence, then i am fine with simply being drunk :D

i will try to remedy the problem quickly, sorry for the inconveniences people :o

Here is the initiative again: "Roy, Tanya, Loche, Saoirse, Tolgen, Elros, The Rats, Lancet, and finally Denford." You were correct Rigel, Denford is last on the initiative.
