Yeah, so... I'm back, after a long roleplay hiatus. Life got ahead of me a bit; since I left, I've gotten engaged, moved to a new house, and completed arrangements to move to the U.S. So, hopefully you can see why roleplaying hasn't been very high on my priority list.

But now things are a bit more stable, and I'm looking to get involved again.

Welcome back then Walker! Glad to see things have stabilized, but RL trumps RP, so it's totally understandable.

Welcome back Kira! I haven't seen you in almost a year, and was wondering where you had gone off to. I'm glad to hear things are well, and that you will be in America soon! Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding, and I wish you all the best!

By the way, I thought you might be interested in the literate, dark, character-driven, modern/realistic roleplay When the Lion Wakes (link in signature, below). Right now, I am looking for people interested in playing FBI agents, CIA agents, or terrorists. All other character details, including name, background, etc. are wholly up to the player. You are also able to take up the role of any other character, if you would still like to join but do not like any of those suggestions. Plotwise, there is no one meta-plot or closed storyline, and players are encouraged to develop their own backstory connections and plotlines.

Players must be mature enough to handle, discuss, and portray some controversial and potentially inflammatory themes with sensitivity, discretion, and thoughtfulness. If you are interested, I am expecting posts demonstrating literacy (not for length - there is no minimum word count - but for quality of writing), at least one post every two weeks (but can be flexible if you are a dedicated writer interested in joining, but with real life time constraints). We are using the roleplay tab only for character submissions, and a traditional forum thread for the IC thread. We have already started, but are still looking for writers. There is also a summary of all IC posts so far located on the last page of the OOC thread.

Oh, and if you do submit a profile, please send me a PM with the link. The roleplay tab unfortunately does not notify GMs when characters are submitted, so I may not notice unless you PM me about it. Thanks!
