Oh, of course.

The idea actually crossed my mind of just having...say...one or two of us be combatants, and the rest be like merchants or archaeologists or some other non-combatant profession. But, I'm still working things out.

A question, if I may: How far after the bombs fell do you want it? Because I was thinking this could take place following the events of Fallout 3. That would actually help me story, too.

Well I am definitely going to play a more passive role as a merchant. After some of the details have been fished out, I might even come up with ideas for quests that I can send the adventures on. I think that would be pretty neat-o. Something minor and not plot stealing of course. I'm just a side quest giver. ^^

I do want side quests as well, let's make this as free flowing as Fallout 3 was, well at least in Rp form. That probably means that NPCs will be included, so let's also think of them as well. I also think we should do it just after the events of FO3

To Masslz: I'm not sure if the BoS is in Alaska at that time, but if you can give a good reason why maybe a detachment would have been sent there, I'm fine with that.

Well if you want NPC's. I will see what I can do about making a small city or outpost.

I think, if peopel want, they can come up with their respective NPCs that they'll control. Sort of a second character, but at the same time not. I think though we'll just have cross or burn that bridge when we come to it.

Well... depending on how things go... I will most likely be adding several side characters to give life to the town that my character will be living in. Just makes sense that way.

Indeed it does, that was what I did in Fallout: New EDEN. I came up with all these differnt characters that I was playing as so everyone had something to do and I was in control of it as well.

Alright, so I've been thinking, and here's a basic idea:

---

The year is 2283. It has been six years since the Vault-Dweller saved the Capital Wasteland. Six...long...years. Since she used the Purifier to cleanse the waters in the basin, things have been looking up for the residents of D.C. However, people need help elsewhere. The Vault-Dweller heard a rumor that there was a thriving human settlement in Alaska, and set out to look for it.

A year later, she arrived, battered and tired, to Anchorage. Ever since the Great War had ended, it had been a haven of sorts, as it had remained mostly untouched by the irradiated fallout from the bombs that fell all across the world. However, Anchorage still remains a small outpost, barely habitable and quickly deteriorating. But, the people struggle on.

When the Vault-Dweller arrived, she resolved to help the people of Anchorage, and decided to do this by raiding the military outposts around Alaska and bringing back important technology. She succeeded in this quest, up until her third outing. She was going to a regular base, rumored to be the home of a small band of bandits. But she never came back.

That was four years ago. The people of Anchorage have held on, but only just. Something must change if they are to survive and flourish. A small band of travelers has recently arrived in the village, and are getting acquainted. But some people don't trust them, and a mysterious air seems to follow them around.

---

Sooooo...yeah. =D Like it?

Hmm... so the Vault Dweller gets to be female, and good? What if like... we all wanted her evil, and she didn't save the capital wasteland... and then she picked up an incredible radio transmission which lead her to Anchorage... Now WE must save our city from the Vault Dweller.

But I'm just being all... rebellious, throwing opposite ideas out there lol. I really do like Kae's idea.

I think we should try and stay away from bring the Lone Wanderer (The Vault Dweller was the hero from the first game) into this.

Count me in for this one. Gotta love Fallout, and frankly, the Alaska idea is just genius. I'm not sure that Anchorage would have been mostly spared, but it works none the less, I'm not one to nit pick. I agree that the Vault Dweller should be left out, good story idea, but it's just a bit to cliche in my opinion.

Sorry for not being part of this for ages. -.- forgot to book mark it, and ultimately forgot the thread existed.

Anyway, as for my character, I've decided I'll be a techie! ^_^ I can supply us with a working Mr. Handy or Mr. Gutsy, repair energy weapons, that sort of stuff. :)

Alright, so Vault-Dweller is out. (I thought Lone Wanderer was first game, and Vault-Dweller was 3? >.>) Maybe just keep the story, and leave her out, since she was just kinda "fluff" anyway.

I've expanded the story a bit, and even made it into a series, of sorts. If we were to carry out said series, it would become a big, massive adventure to rival that of Link or John-117 (Believe). =D But...yeah. The way I expanded it was to take notes on my iTouch as the ideas came to me. (Gotta love that notes thing.)

Here is an exact transcript of said notes. Ahem...

Secret of anchorage
Alien tech underground
Morality choices
(SECRET)
Aliens
(SECRET)
(SECRET)

Now, to explain.

The "Secret of Anchorage" is one of the legends that has persisted since the end of the Great War. It pertains to (If you couldn't tell) some sort of secret alien technology that is hidden underground in a military base (Something akin to Area 51. Area 52, perhaps? XD).

The "Morality Choices" bit is something I would like to add in, if everyone wants to. I thought it would add a bit more life to the story. The idea is mostly self-explainatory. Throughout the story, there will be times where a choice must be made, and this will affect the entire storyline. Usually, these choices will be either "Good" or "Bad", though we might have an in-between choice or two as well.

The "Aliens" part is something I'm iffy on. I thought that the alien tech underground, once found and activated, would give off a signal, like a homing signal of sort, and they would come and invade Alaska. After some fighting, people would-...Well, can't tell that for now. It's a plot spoiler. And ooooooooh how I HATE spoilers! >.<

But...yeah.

Does everyone else like the story, excluding the Vault-Dweller bits? I can change it if I need to.

Good to have you Walrus and glad to see that you'll stick to this MoonMan.

So far so good Kaedai, once we expand on this idea than we can then pick out the details that may not push the story forward or are just not "right". So I think this for me is a green light to start more on the story and the logisitics of this Rp.

((The Lone Wanderer is from 3, Three Dog when he speaks about the news referres to you as the Lone Wanderer. The Vault Dweller is from the first, though I did not play it, he/she is referrenced in the 2. which I did play, by various sorces along your journey.))

Just a thought, how about a community, or rather a town, that was created by the survivors of the bombings at anchorage, the red star chinese commies and the americans who had to work together to survive the harsh wasteland. Possibly deserted or they've all mutated into mindless ghouls by now, but just an idea that's been jumping up and down in my head for a while.

Good point Tyle, I actauly do want to add in new enemies and other fan creations, and American soldier ghouls would be an interesting advisary, think ghouls wearing power armor.

Hm...Good idea Tyle! What if we keep Anchorage, and make another town, or maybe expand it into a base of sorts, and have that be "Ghoul Central". Hm...

I'll begin working on an intro post now, and I'll get working on all the...secret parts. *Shifty Eyes*

Stay tuned. =D
