So he was like "Dude." and I was like "Dude!" ( )

Postby Tramp on Sun Oct 28, 2007 9:20 am

And that was probably the only thing I remembered from last night, the crazy night, the fun-filled gigglious evening of unicorns and rainbows and lollipops and giggles. Did I mention fun? Yahh, quite the joys indeed.

So, here I was--at my computer desk with my cup of homebrewed coffee--with four hours of sleep behind me and a four hour drive down the state in front of me. It was then, like fifteen minutes ago, that inspiration slapped me in the face. I was just kinda groggy, slipping into a bit of eye-resting (y'know, the usual) and my mom just came by and slapped with across the face. Just like that. I was utterly amazed.

"What was that for?" I managed to question in between lapses of shock.
"Finish your homework. It's was supposed to be done last night." And so, here I am at your service: Aaron, from the humble um.... lands of Georgia, USA, where necks are red and the drugs are still too expensive for the underaged.

EDIT: Forgive me if I'm mistakened, but I really suppose I should say something more. Here's a few tidbits on me: I am seventeen, precisely seventeen and eight days, and this mayhaps is my first true experience in a um... as yall might decree "role play forums". My roleplay experience otherwise consist of say, several thousand hours of RPGs and MMORPGs rather than any actual freeform business. So, educate me please? What do I do next? A dance? Start building a campfire and buy a pack of marshmallows?
Knock, knock. That's what she said, mind you. And that's all she said, if you know what I'm talking about! And if you do, would you kindly tell me? Because I sure don't.

Haha, Hi Tramp. I love your first post. It's funny. =3

Let me start off by saying it's good to have you. I live in South Carolina, so it is always cool to find someone that is somewhat nearby. =)

As for the RPings in our forums, the best thing I can tell you is to look around the RPGs that we already have and see how people do things. I'm in the process of getting into RPing again, after years of not doing it. o.o And I know that someone else is probably going to be able to tell you in better words than I could right now. I have a feeling Skuld or Anime Fairy will be by shortly to school you. If you want, you can also take a look at our RP Academy. People are signing up to be tutored all the time, whether they are a pro trying to sharpen skills or a newbie new to RPing. Or in your case, someone who just needs to get used to this alien form of RPing. =) There are great tutors there, and many graduates have shown impressive skills after they finish the school.

I hope to see you around the forums often, and good luck in your quest to learn more about our RPing!
Today, Friday, October 10, 2009, is my last day on RolePlayGateway.com.
Everyone give me lots of love, because I shall be handing lots out. <3

Thanks for the compliment, and it is nice to know there's people are here abouts. Especially people in the seemingly desolate welcoming desk. >_>

I've been taking your kindly advice to heart and been peeking at a few threads in the academy here and there; the one thing I noticed straight away was the skill level of some of these "students"... wow. I mean, it's crazy--like watching college basketball or something. I be reading some of the posts and wishing I had that kind of talent. Ha, that'll be the day... but I'm always hopeful.

Anyways, it's a pleasure meeting you. I do much appreciate the reply. Being the first, and only, person to reach out to a newbie really means something, and I'm glad you did it. My thanks :D

I'm happy to reply! I try to welcome as many new members as I can. And I know you will get more replies. There are more people posting in the Welcome Desk than there seem to be right now, just give them a little time. =)

Don't feel put down by the skill you've seen in the academy. Many of the people training there started out not knowing much about forum RPing either. It's their training that has taught them to be as skilled as they are. Anyone can be that good at it; it just takes practice. Your great attitude and good grammar skills already tell me you've got great potential. Some of the students didn't start out as good as you have, so you've got a head start on a lot of them!

Let me know if I can ever do anything for you. I'll do all I can to make sure you're happy here, and that you stay to enjoy our community! ^_^

I'm going to go ahead and add you as a friend on my friend/foe list. =)

Hey there! I know its really late, but Welcome to the site!
STAR WARS

Motti: Don't try to frighten us with your sorcerous ways, Lord Vader. Your sad devotion to that ancient religion has not helped you conjure up the stolen data tapes, or given you clairvoyance enough to find the rebels' hidden fortress...

[Vader makes a pinching motion and Motti starts choking]

Vader: I find your lack of faith disturbing
American Physco

Patrick: I don't think we should see each other.

Evelyn: But your friends are my friends and my friends are your friends. I don't think it would work. You have a little something...

Patrick: I know that your friends are my friends and, uh... I thought about that. You can have'em.

Patrick: There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there.

Hey there Tramp,
That was piss-my-pants funny!
Funny, me welcoming you here. I got here later than you did. But I saw you on the chat so I want to say I'm glad you're still coming around. If you need anything, don't hesitate to PM me. I want to help your transition from MMO to "Role Playing" as painless as possible. I'm an old man so I have a lot of life experience. At this point in my life I just enjoy helping people. Hope to see your work soon.

Enjoy
