I just had to start a thread to do with this.
I used to live in a place called Gorey.
Last Friday I moved to a place called Kill.
These are places in the Republic of Ireland.
In France I knew that you had to go through a place called Sex to get to another place called Condom. (Can't remember if they were the french names translated to English or actually called that or at least pronounced that way from the French spelling). And in France there is a place again called Breast. Again, not sure if that is the spelling, translation etc; I should look it all up.
Anyway, have you guys got any weird place names you live in/know about etc?

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. It's a little village on Anglesey, North Wales and officially the place with the longest name in the UK.

There's a place called "Hell" in the outskirts of Trondheim, Norway, as well.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Bangkok, Thailand. I don't know what's more fascinating. The name or the thought of how/who/why named them. But, I think Bankok has nothing on Sex and Condom. It takes France to name cities after things like that!
Edit: I just did a search, and there are a lot of whacky names - and they aren't in France!
