Westbrook, Oregon is a small town located on the west coast. It has a population of roughly 5,000 and has always been somewhat of a conservative town. The town was pretty close knit and it was one of those towns that people never left. It was often the case that people would leave, whether it was for college or a career and then returned to find that they were judged and looked down upon. When a new family would move into town, the community was cautious about accepting them until they knew the family was acceptable.

Nicolle Garrett, daughter of the respected Reverend Paul Garrett and Cindy Garrett (President of the Welcoming Committee and the woman that volunteered for everything), was driving home for the first time in two years. She has been in California for the last two years establishing herself as a popular pop artist. The twenty-one year old has been quite successful in becoming a mainstream artist but has disappointed her family at times. As a tabloid staple, her family was able to see all of Nicolle’s life while standing in line at the supermarket without even having to talk to Nicolle. And that’s where the problem came in. Although Nicolle’s music and life were quite provocative, many of the stories written about her were false even if her family did think they were true. Sure, she had a few flings here and there, posed for many magazines in provocative manners, and her song lyrics were always suggestive, but Nicolle knew where to draw the line. After about ten hours of driving she had finally arrived in front of her house. Nicolle exited her car, grabbing her bubblegum pink retro-suitcase from the trunk of her car, and headed towards the front door to her parent’s house. The Garrett’s home was one of the larger homes in Westbrook, but still had a quaint feeling to it. Nicolle adjusted her high-waisted blue shorts and her retro red halter top before knocking on the front door. Bright red pumps adorned her feet. *Knock* *Knock* *Knock* She waited, biting her lip, one of her many nervous habits.

HEars knocking from room and walks down stairs and slwoly opens door to a crack to peak out..peaks threw the crack and gasps, and throws door open.
"OMG! Nicolle?" -gwaks at you-
giggles at you lovly bag,
"DO you need help carrying things in? Are you thirsty?" smiles softly and plays with hair nervously, glancing around.

Nicolle couldn't help but grin when she saw her sister, Raven. She stepped inside and set her bags down, "No, no, I got everything, " she said before hugging her sister. She stepped away, observing the house. Nothing had really changed since she left, her mother still decorated like an eighty-year old Red Hat Society lady with florals everywhere. "Oh Raven, you're so grown up," she said to her sister. The back door then slide open and her mother, Cindy, stepped inside, taking off her gardening gloves. Cindy Garrett was a woman of the town. She always looked as if she was ready to go to a luncheon and today was no different. "Is that Nicolle?" Cindy asked before entering the room in which Nicolle and Raven were standing in. "Hi Mom," Nicolle responded, feeling a little nervous about seeing her mother. "Paul, come downstairs, Nicolle's home," Cindy shouted to her husband who was upstairs. "We're so glad you could take time away from your busy schedule to see us," Cindy said. Nicolle attempted to ignore the judgemental tone that her mother had.

"I'm really great," Nicolle responded to Becky with a large grin on her face. She loved her sisters so much. "How have you been?" Nicolle asked her youngest sister. Their father had just walked downstairs and into the living room where they all were. Nicolle knew that her sisters understood Nicolle's feelings about their parents most than anyone else. She felt bad that she had left them to have to sort the guilt that their parents laid on them.

Raven Glances at daddy kinda annoyed- (dosnt have a good relation ship with dad)

"Well, I think us girls should have a night out...Im going to get ready." She said making an exsuce to get out of the room away from the bad arura.

Nicolle nodded to Raven, "Sure, that sounds fun," she said in response to having a girls night out. Both of her parents looked at her in an uneasy manner, "Don't worry, I won't be a bad influence on them," she said with a roll of her eyes.

"Nicolle Lynn," Paul Garrett, their father, scolded, "When you said you would be coming home, we were unsure, but hoped that you would come home in a respectable manner. Raven and Rebecca are still young and impressionable and we don't need you to ruin what we have set up for them..."

Nicolle shot him a glare and grabbed her bags, "I'll be upstairs getting ready."

Raven laughed,
"Yeah, who needs to lay off the Fries." ROlled her eyes,
"They have to be so annoying, i mean you just got here!" Raven let out a deep sigh and ruffled Beckys brown hair and glanced at Nicolle

Nicolle just shook her head, "Ugh, I just realized why I never come home," she sighed with a small laugh. "I'm pretty sure Mom and Dad just think I do nothing but sleep around and party while I'm in California. But we'll go out tonight and we'll just have some fun, okay? Just forget about everything!" She opened up her suitcase and grabbed her make-up bag, applying some lip gloss and some more mascara. "When you're ready, I'm ready," she said, smiling.

Raven put on pouty face.
"Nicolle...I dont know what to wear!"
She let out a sigh and truged to her room and closet

(Oh computers... This will probably be my last post of the night. Gotta head to bed so I can get some rest. I'll post as soon as I get online tomorrow though! Night!)

Nicolle giggled at Raven and walked towards her closet, "Hmm," she said, looking through her closet, "Here... and here..." She pulled out a mini skirt and a sequin tank top... "Too much?" She knew their parents were conservative when it came to clothing, but Nicolle was so angry at them, respecting their wishes was in the back of her mind.
