[Sorry for not keeping up with this! Tell me if some of this doesn't make sense and I'll change it.]

Noelle had been in a daze as her mother pulled Erin away from her. Her eyes wandered over to the muffins that Naomi had baked and then Erin and her mother were back. Noelle's gaze followed Erin, and she was a bit startled when she realized that Erin had spoke to her. Noelle thought she was scared of her only a few moments ago.

"I'm thirteen. How old are you?" She asked. Now she was already moving onto the brother. He had come in, pulling a bit of her mother's plant off and sneaking it into her pocket. Noelle really never payed attention to her mother's gardening hobbies, so she didn't know that the plant was dangerous.

"What's your name?" She asked loudly, her blue eyes examining the older boy.

"Thanks Mom. I learned from the best." Naomi smiled. "Hey, Erin, what other books have you read? What about The Dream Merchant, by Isabel Hoving?"
(That's a real book by the way.)

Nathaniel looked wearily at the small blonde girl who demanded his name. He considered saying something snarky for a moment, then decided against it.
"Nathaniel," he said, resting his head in his hands. "And who are you? Resident fairy princess?" The girl reminded Nat of a kid back at the school who actually had thought she was a fairy princess. She had ordered Nathaniel to do lots of irritating things, ending with demolishing a bathroom on the second story as revenge for an older girl stealing her diary and reading her fantasy of marrying Johnny Depp. Nathaniel smiled at that. But this girl wasn't as cute as the fairy princess. She was older, too, by about two years.

"Does she, uh, cook a lot?" Nathaniel said, gesturing at the older girl. "I like cooking." It wasn't a lie; Nathaniel had enjoyed cooking ever since he realized you could kill people doing it. Although that wasn't the only reason he liked cooking. He was fairly good at it, for a teenager, and once he finished he usually had some good food to eat, which was rather rewarding.

"Noelle, not a fairy princess." Noelle replied quickly, with a roll of her eyes. She was still busy examing the boy. She didn't like him already. Something about the way he looked, or something, was just sending bad vibes to her. It's not like she was going to say anything though. Her mother would get mad.

The boy then asked if Naomi always cooked, saying he enjoyed cooking. "Yep, she does. She makes everything, but don't worry, I make sure it's all healthy. I'm on a diet," She informed him, pushing her blonde hair behind her shoulders before looking back at him. "What do you cook? Is your hair the color of fire since you like to cook?"

"Haha, Noelle. You're a fairy tale. I'm reality. And you big liar, you do not make sure every thing is healthy. Stop trying to impress Nathaniel. You never care if I make double, triple chocolate cake with double chocolate chips, and dipped in chocolate." Naomi laughed, giving Noelle a playful slap across the back.

"You?" Nathaniel said when the small girl said she was on a diet. Trying to sound impressed at the maturity she seemed to think she had, he went on, "On a diet? You're, like...what, you must weigh ninety five points, max."
"What do you cook? Is your hair the color of fire since you like to cook?"
It was the first comment Nat had had in a long time about his hair that wasn't an insult.
"No, my hair is the color of fire because my father's hair was that color." He greatly hoped this girl wouldn't put two and two together to make five and think "arsonist." It was odd...although his hair color really had no bearing on his more illegal interests, any child under the age of seven would prejudge him by it. Or perhaps Nat was just being paranoid about things...
"Haha, Noelle. You're a fairy tale," the older girl said. "I'm reality. And you big liar, you do not make sure every thing is healthy. Stop trying to impress Nathaniel. You never care if I make double, triple chocolate cake with double chocolate chips, and dipped in chocolate."
"Zomg," Nat said stoically as one word, "That's a lot of chocolate."

"Nah, I'm only messing. She is on a diet, but, she doesn't always check. But, for my birthday, she usually gets me diet cookbooks. I wouldn't make that, anyway. I would hate to eat that. "
Naomi said, walking over to the press, and getting out a tin. She put the muffins in the tin, before, walking up to her room.
