What Instruments Do You Play? ( )

Postby conor on Mon Apr 25, 2011 12:58 pm

I was wondering what kind of instruments do people play here if any? and do you play in a group?

I myself ply the bass guitar, the piano, the saxaphone. I also play in a group called Minutes To Impact (a little cheesy i know but sure)
Ill try post some images later :)

They will terrorize our populations. We must stand fast in the face of that terror. They will advance until our last city falls, but we will not fall. We will prevail. Each of us will be defined by our actions in the coming battle. Stand fast, stand strong. Stand together. Hackett out.”

I used to play in a String Orchestra.

Violin, Viola, Clarinet, Piano, and I 'tried' to learn how to sing.

Clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, flute, and french horn. Oh, and if Karaoke every Thursday counts as anything, then add that too! I'm currently part of Marching Band and Concert Band at my school, nothing special.

I play a lot of instruments, mostly well enough to sight read competently. I'm not so hot on the drums, but I've only just started learning. My favourite instruments, and the ones I've been learning and playing the longest, are the harp, the piano and the violin, as well as the acoustic guitar. I'm also a singer in school and Church choir groups, and I'm a peer tutor in first through fourth year music classes at school. I play the piano at His Majesty's in the nearest city when I'm up to it.

Mostly, I play in school and at the theatre, but I've also participated in charity events.

I play the piano, and teach it to make money. I'm not in any sort of group, though I played for choir shows a couple of times. I also make electronic music(mostly house and trance, but some dubstep too) and post it on newgrounds. The link is in my signature and profile, but I don't have much there, if you wanted to take a listen.

I play guitar. (Right, because no one else can do that. :P)

I'm not currently in a band, and would not be in one again. Stages freak me out. :/

I played guitar for a few years I'm trying to get back into it but a certian someone *cough Dad *cough* keeps killing whatever confidence I have in it whenever he see's the guitar's out.

I also play piano by ear. I don't have any formal lessons but whenever my hands end up on those ivory keys I end up playing a song that was in my head that I could never get out onto the guitar's strings.

Arashi ignore him and play. I know it's easier said than done, but don't let anyone (including family) keep you from playing.

I know...It's just difficult so I play by myself and when no one else is around. If I feel like it I'll play for a bit but my strings are pretty old. They need to be changed out and the guitar needs to be tuned majorly. I just hated how awful I sounded the last time I picked it up. I can't even bring it anywhere to play. Your totally right though. I'm not going to let him ruin it.

My parents don't understand my need for music either. Just persevere and you'll be ok :)

Im trying to learn guitar so i borrowed my cousins old banged up classic yamaha.
Problem is i don't know what i should go out and buy an electric or an acoustic?. I listen to a LOT of different music but have a special thing for metal so i used to dream about the electric, but the acoustic is so soulful... it just sings. Andy Mckee helped me redefine the way i see the acoustic and i might just end up going for that.

I play a mean harmonica. All bluesy and like. I also dabble a bit in the ocarina, but I'm not good enough to say I'm better than a beginner. >_>

Hey guys!

Just wanted to let you know I moved this topic from the Music subforum to that of the Discussion & Debate forum. Hopefully, we'll see more traffic here.

I played baritone in school, base clef. I play piano, can sing passably, play guitar, and dabble a bit in the banjo. Music is a huge part of my life. Haha.

I regrettably didn't spend my childhood playing music, but I recently ran across some YouTube videos of amazing ocarina songs (that's right, no Zelda influence) and had to pick it up. It's been great, and I wish my parents had tried to introduce me to wind instruments instead of piano as a child so that I could have more years playing under my belt. My brothers didn't take all the musical skill in the family, after all.

I currently have a Mountain Ocarina, which is what I started with, and I'm in the market for something to add to my collection. There's honestly so many fantastic choices, I have no idea where to buy next...
