Leo was glad to see Bob was arlight, and sad to see Seru was leaving and that she was going to hurl. "All I know is that she syphened off along with The guy who was shooting at you like a maniac Xaphan, some negative emotional negative energy I absorbed from a massacre that happened about an hour ago. The rumbling from above we all heard earlier..."Leo groaned now thirsting and hungry." God... I could devour a medium rare Porter House Steak and steamed veggies but anything would do.

Melissa handled Leo a puzzled look as he asked her if she was seeing anybod. This was not the time try to get a date in Melissa's mind. She responded in a very somber and serious tone. "How did you....how could you kill those people...and act like nothing happened?"

Melissa held on to Seru, and ushered in a very soothing “Shh….We are safe…just be still...” "Well nice to meet you Bob, im Melissa..." She said flashing the new comer a warm smile trying to build up a front to hide her feelings of killing the police earlier. "this lovely young lady im holding...she nevertold us her name..she just showed up and helped Leo along side Xaphon Something told her that if they went back to the surface it would only get worse for the Empathic members of the group. Melissa’s emotions were not on the negative side; her warm nature may be enough to Soothe Leo and Seru. but she was trying to do a good job of hiding her fears and bad feelings about the things she had witnessed and just done.

Melissa’s face was riddled with exhaustion as they bantered on, and yawns started slipping out. “Sol said he we going to find us food and blankets…judging by the sounds coming from above he may be a while.”

“We should probably get some rest...” She said to Leo. Melissa then rested her head against the wall and shut her eyes. Seru in her arms, she would then drift off to sleep. (Going to catch up with the other thread, go to sleep or do something until Melissa wakes up.)

Leo sighed gently having asked her out of being nervous and not sure what else to ask or say to Melissa, he did feel bad for the cops he killed not for the ones he left asleep though he gave them a taste of what people like us go through on a daily basis, fear of being captured and done god knows what to by the government and their scientists, Leo has once lived that life for a time and had no desire of doing so again. He nodded off also being tired he fell asleep near the others believing it would be wise no to be separated at this critical point. "Well it's not like I'll get any sleep, This i's when floods of emotional energy comes." Leo sighed because he knew that it's when it was the most potent near completely undiluted by his rational mind. "God if you're real... Let my sleep be peaceful... Amen." Leo softly pleaded as he laid his head down to sleep and shivered from the dank cold of the sewer and stirred until he finally fell asleep being at Melissa's feet for stratigic reasons incase of emergency.

Bob looked over at the weary fighters and sat down next to them, examining them closely for their wounds. He gently laid his hands on each of them in turn, healing them of their minor wounds and the fatigue of their muscles. The darkness the empaths had absorbed, he could do nothing about, but he did what he could, sending them into peaceful slumbers.

After the three were sleeping more soundly, he reached into his side and pulled out a large beach towel and covered them up as best he could.

"So young, and already carrying such great burdens..." He looked upwards. "But there have been heavier burdens placed on slimmer shoulders before, as we both well remember, Father..."

He melted into a thin pool, split into three parts, sending two down the sewers as sentries in case the other three returned, or worse, the Government found them.

Melissa awoke, jolted by an explosion that was muffled on the surface by her current location in the sewer. She stood up and looked around at her comrads who were still sleeping. Melissa looked around and wrinkled her nose at the scent of the place, when she realized she had been sleeping for some time now. Sol had not returned.

A bad feeling sweapt overher upon this epiphiny. Something was wrong. It was a guess at best, smply worrying, no empathic powers. She reached out,. with her control over her power, and discovered that Sol, and Leo both had a few rads on their bodies. She could home in on these like a mosquito could home in on heat. She could feel Sol was distant...but not too far away. Hurried, she left Leo, Seru, and Bob to their own devices, not wishing to put them in danger.

Melissa entered into the darkness, as she focused on her hand, causing it to glow, and give her light as she moved through the sewers.

Leo woke up a while later and realized Melissa was gone, "Damn things must have gotten worse up there and she left to help!" He didn't have good feeling about this because could no longer sense the group up there and increasing military presence. "Shit screw this I'm heading up there!" Leo ran off into the darkness heading for the furthest manhole cover from the rumbing above.

It wasn't hard to hear the two Pariah's leaving, especially since they went right past one of Bob's segments. That part waited as another came to join up and go after the two, while the third stayed behind to watch over Seru...

Seru stirred, cringing at the explosion and bolting upright. She reached into her belt pouch, and drew out two cresent daggers, crouching instantly. She may have been blind, but emotions left imprints and were tangible to her, forming images in her head. She reached up, and carefully pulled off her blindfold. Her eyes, over the years, had come to hold such a huge amount of pain, fear, and hopelessness, that to look directly into them was to know madness. If she chose to weild them against you. They held no pupils, only shattered black marks in them.
"Oh...Where'd the others go?" she asked Bob.
