Ah, film noir.



Countless twists, turns, and the ever-present battle between good, evil, and that gray area in between.

In A Life Less Noir, a colorful cast of characters inhabit a very 'film noir' world, in 1950's New York City. Somewhere between a serial killer, drug rings, family secrets, forbidden romances and the odd car chase, they try to lead normal lives.

As the plot spirals out, drawing in more strange faces, I've found that the cast could use some fresh blood. I'm already writing for about a half dozen active characters. Is there anyone who'd like in on this action?

There is one character in particular I'd love to see. Other than the sentence or two below, consider her a blank slates.

Femme Fatale: The ex-girlfriend of a Cajun detective. Met him while he and his sister were working on a case, betrayed them in some way and nearly got them killed. Details vague and open to interpretation :)

But I am also open to just about anything/one you can come up with, so long as they fit into the story in some way.

This game has been going for a while, but don't let that frighten you off. If you are interested in joining, either as a new character or the above listed, simply send me a PM and I will get you up to speed.

Actually, the femme fatale has already met, become involved with, betrayed, and broken up with the Cajun detective. That's part of her back story. I did have an idea of her being involved with a drug ring that is currently hunting down the Cajun and his sister (both detectives). The Cajuns travel and are very secretive; their parents were outlaws in their own way and they worry about anyone knowing who they are. The femme fatale was going to come in and help the gangster currently hunting them in NYC by telling him what she knows about their secrets (which is a lot: she had the Cajun pretty well hooked).

You can also come up with your own character--there's always room for a lounge singer!--and even play the role of unwilling informant if you want. However, there is a requirement of decent grammar...proper capitalization included ;) The OOC is right here, if you're interested.

And like I said, don't be nervous about the 'establishment' of the RP. It's the sort you can enter late with relative ease.
