The sister halted. "Stop." She barked, raising her head in the air to get a good smell. "There are others close by." She sniffed, looking around for evidence of where they might be. The brother's ears perked, moving every which direction to find the 'others'. Then his eyes lit up and he turned, "Over here." The sister barked, turning in the opposite direction of where the brother thought they were. "And what makes you think that?" The brother snarled, looking over his shoulder at her. She sighed and nodded. "Let's go that way then. I thought it could be the wind carrying it down from the other way."
"Well it wasn't."
"Sure."
"Fine."
The two raced north, following the scent trail and hopefully tracking it's owner. The two wolves crouched down, the scent was nearly a minuete fresh, and they could barely see him through the undergrowth. "Keep low, and quiet." The sister whispered, watching the wolf infront of them carefully, making sure he made no sudden movements. "Wait..." The sister snarled. "There's another one.. Also infront of us, but she's farther from us from the male.". "Alright, I'll scope it out." Jay looked around, his deep green eyes scanned the clearing infront of them, but found nothing. "Natta." He whispered. The sister nodded. "Whoah, the male is quite mellow, and young. Possibly fourteen in human years. but he seems to have his guard up, for some reason he looks uneasy." the sister looked at her brother. "So, what shall it be?" she asked, nodding tho the male. "Don't attack. He's young, we could use him to defend ourselves against the black pelts... agreed?" the brother said, looking at the male wolf infront of them in reassurance. "Agreed." Said the sister, laying her head on her paws and watching him in amusement. "He's only one year younger than me if he's just fourteen." she said, flicking her tail and looking at the brother. "True, that means he's only two years younger than me. Hey, do you think hes with a pack yet? I wonder if he's been so lucky to keep his parents alive. If he doesn't do you think we could take him in? Or.." The brother murmered. "Um, thats a little creepy.." the sister stared ahead curiously. "Not really, I mean you said he looked insecure or something like that right? Well, if we took him in, who knows, maybe we'll have a fighting chance against the black pelt the next time they come after us- er you. But your right, if nothing happens, then nothing happens." the brother curled his tail around his paws and yawned. "You have a point. Noone took us in though. why should WE be the ones to start now?" the sister said, ears perking at the sound of movement.
(I reccomend that you all use the program I used to create my avatar pic- It's awesome- I didn't make it but it helps you visualize your charchters better. the wolf in my pic is actually the 'sister' that I'm rping about, I also finished Jay's but I'd rather put hers up. It really sucked fitting the pic into the requirements forr the avatar space... so thats why it's only pixels. But the she-wolf is supposed to be a crimson red color, the color of blood mixed with random areas of white and black. She has bright green eyes, while her brother (Jay) has deeper, emerald eyes. Jay is a blue-ish grey wolf (Like a russian blue cat..) he has white aswell, but no black. they're not actually siblings- but if anyone says otherwise, they both flip out. They know that they aren't but they act like they are. Their parents were killed at birth, black pelts, a group that has been hunting the two down for years, they killed their parents but- the two don't want revenge, they were only taught to thrive and survive.)
