Lucifer sat there and listened, He almost understood what they said, it seemed that these wolves were highly intelligent. They looked civilized, and well kept, but they were like all sentient life, somewhat violent. Nothing wrong with that,

Lucifer kept listening in, following the one known as Mibu but kept his distance, he tried to follow close enough to listen to him. Lucifer figured out how they spoke, it wasnt quite common ,but it was close enough he could catch something they said pretty often. Lucifer figured out their were 2 types of them pretty quick, as they had different coats of fur on. He also figured out they were like wolves, with ranks, and alpha males. Lucifer figured out one of them was the "Shadow" and the other "Light fang". Lucifer didnt understand everything, it sometimes just sounded like growling to him.

Lucifer stood straight up, and swung his slinged rifle to his side, and kept his 2 hands near 2 different gunpowder pistols. If they reacted violently, Lucifer would pull out his guns, and shoot at mibu and the one on his right. If not Lucifer was going to slowly start to hand Mibu the crest in his pocket hoping it would mean something, like offering friendship. He didnt know what it was, it wouldnt hurt to give him this thing. Lucifer would then speak slowly, thinking that it would be hard to understand him.
" Hello, Im Lucifer, Dont underestimate me"

Thats all he would say, hoping all these weapons he had on him wouldn't provoke him. He chose his words as if he were choosing a set of chess moves. He wanted to show he had a back bone, unlike other humans, and he was polite.

Lucifer pondered whether he should tell the city about these wolves, warn them about a new threat, but, also knew that if he informed them of them that hunters would find a new prey to go after. Sort of like hunting bears for the thrill, boy it was quite a thrill with a gunpowder rifle. These creatures would be hunted for there amazing furs, and absolutly for a great thrill. Lucifer knew they didn't deserve that they weren't just animals.
Lucifer still might tell some of the higher ranking militia members, as a precaution.

Layuli snarled. They were such vile creatures. She wished to kill them all now. She knew that as soon as one of them wandered away from the group her fangs would sink into its throat. They did not care for things such as treaties. They had broken it and so no rules apply. Layuli turned towards Mibu and followed after him.

A voice however made her turn her head. There was a human close by. It was as though he was watching them. There was something different about him though. She turned towards Mibu. "I'm intrigued by this man who seems to be following us... I'm going to check him out." With that said, she was off. She disappeared into the trees and hid until she found a nice place to change forms.

In a few seconds she was standing on two legs. She pulled her hair back and brushed off invisible dust from her clothing. She turned her head towards the direction from which she had come and began to run. She soon spotted the man and she hid behind a tree and watched him. Even though she was in human form, the sun crest was still on her forehead only much fainter. It was only visible if light reflected off her forehead.

The guard at the entrance of the den shifted suddenly, muzzled tipped up slightly. Her hackles didn't go up and Salya tumbled over, shifting into her pup form. Fluffy ears too large for her head pricked forwards in interest, her stumpy tail wagging fit to fall off. Peering around her baby sitter, the other pups crowded around as well. Spying her sire among the other wolves padding up to the den, Salya yipped and scrambled out, galloping down to Mibu. On reaching him she dropped into a roll, ending up on her back under his muzzle. Tail thudding the dirt, she whined softly at her father, excited to see him back and well. Even though she loved all of the pack, her parents were special, the alphas and her biggest comfort. Mibu seemed pleased enough to see her, but distracted. Peering around, Salya felt her stomach drop as the other pups caught up to greet their family.
Rolling onto her feet, her tail tucked in and ears down, Salya asked meekly, afraid of the answer.
"Mibu, where's Layuli?" If anything had happened to her mother... no, she wouldn't think of it, not until it was either confirmed or denied. Cold fear settled in her chest, yellow eyes wide.

Lucifer sat there waiting for a reply, He noticed, a much younger wolf approach mibu as well as others, Lucifer managed to figure out that this was a family of wolves. Perhaps the one he was stalking was the father, it seemed like that, from how it acted. He had one less reason not to shoot, the wolves, but He would end the life of one wolf if they attacked him. He noticed that one of the wolves werent there, one of the ones that stood next to mibu, during his observation of him, but mibu didnt seem consirned, as if he knew where it was.

Maybe these wolves, can tell the other wolves not to eat my chickens, but of course that would be the last thing he would ask of them.
He wondered if he was one of the only humans to have met them. Maybe, they knew of us and viered away, knowing we are a violent people, Lucifer admitted to that, He was a man of violence, but the rightous side of violence. Lucifer wanted to know much about these wolves.

Mibu nuzzled Salya affectionately and helped her up from the snow, leaning down he whispered to her about the human and where her mother was at the moment. He had little time for warm reunions having a war to plan with their neighbors, those whelps had the nerve to speak to him about the concessions of the treaty yet seemed unwilling to abife by them theirselves. Mibu had known something like this would happen when the young Urufu assumed the dominant role of the pack, younglings always made rash decisions that would lead to the misfortune of the group. He would have to teach them a harsh lesson about why it is best to pay pennance for your violations they would banish the darkness into the depthss of isolation and seclusion once and for all.

He stood up no longer taking a sneaky approach to it and walked right up to the wolf he was following. Lucifer didnt fear it. Lucifer looked at the pups around, what was he getting into, he could get killed. Lucifer remembered the deer jerky he had collected earlier, and reached into his pack and threw the bag filled with deer jerky down near the pup near mibu.

" Hey Im Lucifer, " This time in a louder, more assertive voice directing it at Mibu.

He put his hand out to try and touch the wolf, slowly, and with his other hand he slowly showed him the crest he had. Lucifer slowly moved. Hoping his hand wouldnt be gone in the next second.

Mollified with her sire's assurance, Salya licked his chin and then shook herself all over, shedding the snow from her thick coat. If he knew where Layuli was, and she were watching the human, then she'd be fine. Then the adults around her bristled, hackles rising. Salya caught the scent of human on the air and followed the other's gazes to the man who now approached. When he tossed a bag in her direction, Salya skittered backwards so fast she fell on her tail, scrambling to hide behind Julen. The man spoke and it vaguely surprised her. Despite knowing humans could talk, hearing it was something else. It sounded funny, like he was using his mouth too much rather than his throat, almost like he was chewing his words. She did pick it up though, a greeting and a name. Peering from between her older brother's legs at the item, she smelt something. Food. She inched forwards, belly to the ground.

"Don't touch it yet," Julen growled softly, for Salya only. The older pups knew what she didn't, that when humans gave meat to wolves it was invariably poisoned. "It might be bad."

Salya froze, obedience to older members of the pack ingrained from birth. Her eyes darted to the man, and then grew huge at what he had in his hand, slowly showing it to the rest of the pack. A crest! She'd never seen one off of a wolf before.

Mibu seemed a little uncertain by this man boldly coming out of hiding to approach his group. Wether he was carrying a firearm or no there was no human way for him to take on this many of his bretheren all at once and Mkibu decided to hold the man for a little bit. He assumed his human form to make the man less at ease and more put off, more likely to be surprised and let information slip out that he would not have otherwise. "Greetings terra-form. It has been long long since your kind even took notice to our existince but surely a human like you knows that wolves are killers with little compassion or humor for humans." He looked back to his aprehensive childeren and steadied them with a palm up gesture from his hand. He was a littlke bit awkward having not donned his human form in a long while the usage of it felt unfamilar to him. Mibu turned back towards the human interloper and tells "Well manling my name is Mibu and this is my family the Light Fangs, surely a man like you knows that there is no way we can let you walk out of here even know my mate waits in the shadows watching you silently. I am going to do something I probably should not but I am feeling benevolent this day. I am going to give you a choice human you can either stay here as an extended guest of ours or we can kill you and leave you out here for the cold and wasteland."

Lucifer was baffled at the transformation from wolf to human. Lucifer intently listened at what Mibu had to say, He expected the wolf to not like humans. Lucifer was sort of excited to be one of the few to take notice to its existence.

Lucifer replied to Mibu " I was interested in you and your family of Light Fangs, I'd like to get to know more about your conflict as well and help with it if I can, I would also like to know, as well as what the heck this thing in my hand is, My human curiousity, it was the reason I followed you."
Lucifer hoped they werent mad at him, he did hunt some of these wolve's deer, with his rifle, not too much, but he did hunt enough for him to have a bit of a surplus at his house.
Lucifer paused, and then remembered that the wolf demanded he stay here. Lucifer did want to go home to pick up a few things, like his lute, and some food, so he wouldnt have to eat his hosts food.
Lucifer then said " I would like to go back to my cabin, it is only about a 2 hour walk from here. You could accompany me, or have 2 other wolves accompany me. I want to pick up a few things from my house, like food, water, and a few personal items. Then I would gladly be your guest"

Lucifer knew this crest in his hand, looked similar to one of the ones the darker wolves had. Lucifer now guessed that he got this crest from a wolf that died of old age, a long time ago. It still meant something to these wolves, the younger ones looked at it profusly. He noticed the cute pups, not eating the jerky he had dropped. Lucifer nealt down and opened the bag and ate a piece of the jerky, the savory taste of a bit of pepper lingered in his mouth. Lucifer tried to hand feed, one of the pups with a piece of the jerky. If the pup did go for it, Lucifer would try to pet it in the sweet spot that his dog had.

Salya felt rather embaressed and confused, not knowing how to react as the human offered food to her. On the one hand, he'd eaten it so it wasn't dangerous, and food offered to pups by adults was fair game. On the other, he wasn't pack, so was it alright to accept food from him? Ignoring him as an adult was rude, and she'd get her ears boxed for that, but accepting it without her sire's permission was just as hazardous to her tender young ears. She'd only gotten them boxed once when she'd frightened Mibu terribly after the last of her siblings had been lost, and had no desire to repeat the experience. Tail between her legs and uncertain, she looked instinctively to her alpha, yellow eyes questioning. If he said no, she'd back off. If he said yes, she'd shift into her human form and take it by hand, since he was offering, and say thankyou just to be extra polite. Salya was a good deal more comfortable in her human form that her packmates as she had discovered the distinct advantage of hands, especially when it came to climbing ruins and scratching.

A small amount of relief washed over Hitomi as Mibu and his mate turned back to their encampment. Turning to Urufu, she smiled, glad to be rid of the situation, no matter how poorly it had ended. After all, how much more smoothly could it have gone, they were Light Fangs after all? Turning around herself, Hitomi made her way back to the den. Her focus was on finding Garet and asking what this all was about, he hadn't informed them of such an action.

Layuli watched in the shadows, her fair white hair not quite blending with the trees. Her attempts at being sneaky were pretty good and she was light on her feet. He had no clue she was there until he began to follow Mibu and appeared by the pack. Even in her human form, she could still growl threateningly. She didn't like the fact that he was offering food to her pups even though he ate some.

Layuli walked forward and examined the crest the man was holding. Her eyes widened as she looked at Mibu. Her hand reached up and gently touched her forehead where the crest was. She would allow him to speak about it. He wanted to go back to his cabin and she didn't like that idea. "I will go back with him..." She spoke quietly.

Mibu laughed inwardly as he saw aprehensive the others were around the human he was an obvious outsider but he hopoed that there would be something they could gain by keeping him as a pet. He nodded to Hitomi signaling that his food was as likely safe as it could be, he even went so far as to snatch a piece for hiumself and chew it drly. The meat had been prepared in human conditions with fire and he prefered his food to be a little more... well I suppose rare would be the word for it. As the man spoke of needing to return home he was instantly feeling disagreeable to that idea needing to get everyon back to the den before the shadow claws reorganized but Layuli had offered to escort him back and he felt fairly confident that she would return with the man and not just kill him. With his decision in mind he spoke up and said "fine just hurry and be quick about it. We have around fifteen miles to cover and its less than four hours until nightfall, we do not want to be caught outside uncovered when the sun sets on the city. Its tantamount to suicide for that is the time when the shadow claws have dominion over the city streets."

Lucifer, noticed the girl in the amazing white hair, glad that he would have the opportunity to walk back, especially with someone that looked a little less threatening. His eyes checked her out, and then he noticed the crest like thing on her forhead, it was faint, but that type of thing didnt appear on the average girl.

He spoke quietly" Thanks," directing it at the girl. Lucifer started walking off, towards the direction his cabin was in, it was a good hour and a half walk if they didnt get too delayed. Lucifer knew these woods pretty well, he often lead new recruits for the militia out in the woods for exercises. Lucifer would also write on his door, ON VACATION. The captain would be a bit disappointed, but he knew Lucifer deserved a vacation.

Lucifer walked at a moderately fast pace, itching to ask the girl some questions once they got out of wolf ears reach of Mibu. Lucifer checked his rapier, and thought about keeping a hand near it. It didn't seem he would be in a situation for it, but Lucifer still kept an ear out for the other type of wolf. Lucifer was curious about the wolf tracks that disappeared for no reasons at a shadow. Unless it stopped and started flying that shouldnt be possible.

Lucifer quickly spoke in a soft voice " My name's Lucifer, may I ask yours? Lucifer offered some of the jerky, by showing her a second open bag filled with peppered jerky. Lucifer wondered if these wolves drank, that would be interesting if he could get them too, Of course that would be mischief that might get his throat ripped out. Lucifer was going to bring a pack filled with much needed items.

Layuli nodded at Mibu before watching the man first with cold eyes but as soon as she turned her back to follow him, they grew softer and more curious about him. He held items that she was unfamiliar with and it seemed so strange how different they were. She was intrigued by him and she was sure he was as well.

His voice was faint when he began introductions but her ears were sharp and heard every word perfectly. She cleared her throat a bit before talking. "Layuli..." She took the jerky gingerly with one hand and took a bit only to spit it out again. It was different tasting and her tongue felt like it was stinging in some way; perhaps the better word was tingling.

Layuli brought the piece of jerky back to her lips and took another bite. This time she did not spit it out and swallowed it. She was used to raw meat and so this was a new experience for her. "You humans are so different..." she said quietly. Her voice was naturally whimsical and so it sounded almost like the wind.

Lucifer caught Layuli's words, he listened intently. Lucifer caught even the last bit but barely, he was a respectful guy and actually listened when women talked.
He wondered how much these wolves knew about his people.
"We are a bit different, as are you to us, whats the first thing you want to know about me?"
Lucifer noticed her eyeballing a few of the things on his hip. Lucifer guessed it was the rapier, it would seem interesting to someone who didnt know what it was, or it might have been the wooden rod, also known as his rifle. Lucifer guessed like most women, she probably wouldnt appreciate him bragging about his favorite toys.
Lucifer knew that curious look, he put it on himself sometimes, Lucifer's voice was now a little louder, and he started to pull out a torch from his back, Lucifer quickly struck a small rock to it, and it caught flame illuminating the area.

He walked, noticing his cabin on the horizon (OCC: unless something happens before I get there)
Lucifer glanced at the old wooden cabin, on the horizon, Lucifer would go there and open his house up, and grab his lute and a bunch of food, and drink. As well as some ammo, and a sharpening rock. He also was planing on putting feed down for the horse, and put a note on his door.

As Lucifer opened the door, he held it open for Layuli to pass, being courteous. Lucifer said " This is my home, Im curious if my home is anyone's territory" Lucifer guessed the wolves were territorial.
Lucifer first went for a couple more sacks of Jerky he had, and threw it on a large pack, he would stow on his horse. He picked up a bunch of firestarter bundles, and threw it in the pack neatly. He then threw in a small container that smelt like gunpowder, and a container that had a bunch of small lead balls. He also put 3 more pistols in his pack. Lucifer then got in a small room, and got into his favorite set of Chainmail. and threw a couple pants, and 2 cotton shirts in the bag. Lucifer then threw his lute on his pack, and his old bow.

He wore his chain mail under a leather overcoat. Lucifer popped around the corner, and opened one of his cupboards and pulled a container, that smelt like dark coffee, and a second container filled with herbs in that same pack. He shuffled about and finished a note. He motioned for
Layuli, letting her know he was done. He quickly stabbed a small knife into the door, pinning a note to it. Lucifer then fiddled with a key to lock it.

Lucifer Unchained his dog, and poured some dog food. He also pulled up his horse and walked off towards the den, dragging his horse

The human, Lucifer, left with her dam and Salya felt slightly apprehensive at the thought of Layuli off alone. But it couldn't be too bad if Mibu had said so. Along with the rest of the pack, Salya returned to the den, tumbling into the familiar warm space filled with the scent of pack. She wanted to try some of the human's meat, curious to see if it was any different from theirs. It was still all meat though, coming from the same animals, right? How different could it be? Or did humans preserve their meat differently? They spoke differently, though it was still understandable. She'd almost gotten her head wrapped around it when he'd left. Salya padded over to her father, who had a strip of the human's food. She pricked her ears and then dropped her chin to her paws, whining softly at him. It was general puppy speak for "some please?", and she really did want to at least try the stuff.

Layuli watched him as he noticed her eyes follow the items that he held. He asked what she wanted to know and she shook her head, a few strands of white hair falling over her eyes. "I am an observer. I learn from what I see. I do not ask questions." This was her last words that she spoke until they arrived at the cabin.

It was strange to her and then suddenly there was fire beside them. She stopped walking to watch the flames a bit more. She could see fine without it but perhaps the man couldn't. He opened his door and let her enter first. She looked at him with a cautious glance before entering his home.

Layuli walked around examining everything within reach. She picked up random items only to set them down moments later to pick up another item. She realized how strange she must look and so she quickly stopped. When he motioned, she left the cabin. She sat down instantly and began to rub her feet. She wasn't used to walking on two feet, not to mention she felt vulnerable. She shifted quickly into her wolf form so that he could not see the transformation. He would only see a pure white wolf with a sun crest visible on her forehead with large eyes that looked much like the human that had been standing in it's place just moments before. She let out a small growl to tell him to continue moving.

Garet went back to his personal den, a run down

He picked up a guitar he had found after the scorching of the earth. He had been prowling the city streets one day when he came across a music store. There was a guitar made by the legendary Les Paul (God rest his soul) locked tightly away. The heat from the flames that made the Earth didn't reach it for some reason.

He hooked it up to an amp (modded to run on batteries XD) that he had found in that same store and played an old song that he had personally liked.

It seemed that his playing drew a crowd. A bunch of cubs tried stopped to listen, their mothers rushing them along.

Garet had always loved music. He especially liked the old rock. It had a meaning to him, something other music didn't.

(note: If something stops this from happening, I will acknowledge it, ( also might I say Interior Motives, You are a really good writer, at least what I have read from you,)

Lucifer, quickly walked back towards the den, approaching it. He was motivated, by the white wolf growling and the possible security of other beings. Then his male brain started to wonder to how amazing she looked in human form. Lucifer guessed, that she was probably Mibu's though. He quickly shook his head at disbelief that he was thinking of something like that, and tried to think of something else. He was curious how fast she was, wondering if she would be able to keep up if Lucifer jumped on his horse.

Lucifer also didnt want to leave her alone in the woods, He wouldnt feel right about it, He was dangerously proficient with his rapier, but how would he fend against "Shadow Wolves" . Lucifer also remembered his flintlocks, and felt a bit more secure. Lucifer was going to let his horse loose once he got into his home. Lucifer continued to hold a torch, which gave him a bit of a security blanket in the coming dark. In his right hand he pulled out a small flintlock. He was prepared if something were to happen, he would be ready to fight to help his own survival.

Lucifer also picked up his favorite hunting knife as well, he expected he would go hunting for deer, while he waited his stay, he didnt want to impose, by eating some deer he didnt earn, or hunt himself. He also wanted to shoot his gun, he was a little trigger happy, he got his last rifle not very long ago and he was itching to watch it launch a lead ball, and impail deer, bandits, and this case possibly wolves.
