The world was turning and the terrain of Inaria was just meeting the twilight between night and dawn. The stars were beginning to fade and the moon sank beyond the Silver Mountains, signifying the arrival of the sun. Inaria was just stirring, wolves making their morning stretches, ravens shaking the dew from their feathers and the rest of Inarias' creatures were beginning to awaken.

.....:::::|:::::.....

Alara took her first step into Inaria and she walked from the white oak that stood alone in the Silver Mountains. Her eyes of moonlight gazed at the awakening world and she stood tall and proud, the colors of her fur rustling in the gentle morning breeze she created as she walked. She opened her maw and breathed out, allowing a cold wind to sweep over the rocks and down into the valleys below. She climbed up the rocks with ease, using the wind to carry her agile body until she rested at her perch at the summit of Mount Moon, the tallest mountain in the Silver chain. She lifted her ears and sat tall, closing her eyes and listened to Inaria.

...Sing to me Inaria...Sing...

.....:::::|:::::.....

...Another night gone and passed...bringing a morning I cannot enjoy...

The lone white wolf stood frozen, the chills winds of the Tundra whipping against the ice that encased this lone wolfess in her prison. Her pale icy eyes watched unmoving as the lights caused by the twilight began to dance against the wall of ice and snow. It was the only thing that brought comfort to her, the only thing she could count on every day until she was free.

Yarins black paws was hitting the ground lightly as she gracefully was running through the landscape. She had been running since before the beak of dawn so she could enjoy the solitude of the shadows just before the light would come and dissolve them for many hours. She stopped as she reached Moon Lake to drink some water and wonder where to go next. As she drank from the beautiful lake, while standing in shadows of the Silver Mountains, she thought about where she might be able to get some work. "hmm... Seems like I'm on my own until further notice" she mumbled and decided to stay at the lake for a while. She needed to rest her paws for a bit and maybe get some breakfast later on so she sat down by the bank and gazed at the lake enjoying the morning peace.

Karitoko wondered through the snow and cold of the Tundra. Something he always enjoyed during a fresh night. Swiftly, but cautiously he made his way onto a tall boulder, jumping rock to rock. He sat at the top, looking up towards the bright lights that moved across the sky. Some dancing together, while others stayed afar, giving the snow such a heavenly twinkle. The stars were out, another night has indeed come. ''Hail to the Wolf Mother, she has blessed us with another night'', he smiled to himself. After a few moments he leaned his head back and let out a howl.

Getting down from the boulder was surprisingly more difficult then getting up. Mainly because they were so slick, and it was easier to slip. Walking the along the Tundra never bothered him, no one was ever around, or if they were, they were to far and difficult to see. It was better that way, because no one would stop and see his suffering.''Why does she let me live this way'' ,again Karitoko talked about the Wolf Mother, '' Could she of put the curse on me?'' Suddenly, Karitoko felt lonely, like no one was there, nothing was going to protect him. His attention turned to the icy lake, ''Would any one know or care if i jumped in and didn't come up?"

Forcing his mind away, his mother came to veiw. She was so brave, and strong. It had to be a curse that killed her, and his father.. Karitoko turned and began heading for The Silver Mountains, from there he would get a better veiw of the stars. He could watch the sun set every night he so desired. With so little company that passes by aswell. Most of the others roamed along the valleys, where an even greater evil was, the humans.
With the blood moon rising to the air. The sky turns red, only the stars showing through. Shadows lurk every corner, the wolves howl in a frenzied rage. Watch your back, the wolf of valor has taken the feild.

The snow billowed in clouds around Epsiba's massive paws. She always enjoyed the comfertable chill that dusk brought to the tundra. In the day, the weather remained cold and dry, and the sun's glare on the snow stabbed at her old eyes. She padded along until she heard steps in the opposite direction.

All she could see were boulders in the distance, and heard a single wolf passing. She could hardly see him through the misty light, but could make out his form in the snow. She let out a soulful call to make her presance known. If he chose to speak with her, that was his business and she would gladly oblige. The rest of her pack were off doing something, they never seemed to tell her anymore. It irked her greatly when the young had such little respect for the elderly.

Karitoko froze in the snow as he heard a call. He looked around, straining his eyes to see through the air. ''Who is out there, I'm not here for trouble.'' He began moving forward in the direction he was going before, hoping that the voice did not answer. Then at least he would not have to stop and conversate with others, what would be the point of it. Most likely he would never see the other wolf again anyways. Maybe it didn't even hear him.

Shadow rested under one of the large trees, the den of the pack he was in not to far. the only Alpha was off on one of her retinue trips, leaving Shadow here to watch over the younglings. It was true most of the younger pups didn't respect the elders but he was one of the few that did, it was truly no wonder why he was one of the few beta's left and the only one that had not reached full maturity.

Shadow was only 19 years of age, a truly young wolf and full of life, but with wisdom and courage fitting that of a much older and wiser hunter. Shadow laid his head on a pillow of his front paws watching the little ones play and what not hoping their leader would return soon so he could be off baby sitting duty.

Epsiba growled low. "disrespect... Foolish pup." She shook her massive head and moved on. She decided to procceed through the pass into the silver mountains. Perhaps there would be a deer or carabu there for her to apprehend and consume. She licked her jawls; the thought of warm meat a welcoming aspect in the cold. Slowly, she padded further into the bases of the mountains.

Another day, of Wolf hunting, with my people, that was what Wolf Killer thought today. Days of forging and mining, that was half of what his tribe was about. They recently found what they call Yellow Metal. Wolf Killer thought it should be under a different name. His raid members were going to raid a small camp of outcast bear tribesmen.

Wolf Killer quickly sprinted in the tundra, followed by 5 clansmen. They all were going to kill, and raid there enemies. Wolf killer hoped he would once again find wolf tracks and kill another. There was a certain thrill when a wolf jumped up at you, and you brought up your spear and ran it through.
His 5 men shouted loudly " We Raid, We Pillage, and we Fight for our people"

Wolf killer rolled over the horizon and noticed a small fire and 5 cabins. He yelled and charged the camp. Spear held and Shield up. This tiny bit of technology gave his tribe a cunning edge over rocks. He sprinted at a villager going for a spear shoved in the ground. Wolf Killer was quick enough to hit the man with the side of his bronze shield. and then quickly jabbing his spear into the man as he tumbled. His men met more resistance, and fought.

''Why does she let me live this way'' Karitoko talked about the Wolf Mother--and she could hear him, '' Could she of put the curse on me?'' Alara lifted her ears and turned her stary gaze down below her on the ridge, spotting the young wolf who had be speaking about her. ''Would any one know or care if i jumped in and didn't come up?" She heard him say, staring at the icy lake. This brouht a small smile to Alara, now she had found someone to keep her daughter company. The wolf continued on his path when suddenly it became very cold. The snow began to fall and it quickly turned into white out conditions. Alara made her way down the ravine, taking steps through the air and gliding gracefully down the slopes until she was on the opposite ledge of the wolf in question. She could barely be seen through the snow but her star like eyes gave her away, being as they were dark and beautiful, just like the clear night sky.

"Do not be so quick to end it all My Son. What troubles you?" Her voice was like that of a thousand female wolves all singing in harmonious chours to the night, calling to the moon in the dark.

.....:::::|:::::.....

[i]Wolf Killer would soon find out that the raid had been a sucsess and mst of the opposing tribe were either dead, or dying. One of his fellow tribesman, named Mauler of Bears, came up to him with disturbing news.

"Brother, a man has escaped into the forest. He could tell the Wolf Tribe of the massacre should we let him run."

Karitoko froze as the voice pierced through the air, although he never heard this voice, it was not mistakable. It was the Wolf Mother, he was quick to bow when he saw the eyes gazing at him. Has anyone ever addressed the Wolf Mother in person. ''Do not be so quick to end it all My Son. What troubles you?'' Her voice rang through his head, it was so beautiful, none could really describe. In an odd way, it made him feel safe, as if there were nothing to worry about.

''Why was I placed with such a curse Wolf Mother? Everyone I love dies, it makes me regret that I even live. The knowledge of anyone I come to care about dieing, because I care about them.'' Karitoko called out, answering her, but trying not to sound offensive. He honestly beleived he was cursed, because everyone else made him beleive he was. The fact that she even used the effort to come speak with him, surprised him. ''Maybe I should ask why you have blessed me with your presence.'' Few stories of the Wolf Mother communicating with other wolves have touched his ears. Though most of the time they were said to be crazy, and made up.

Wolf Killer nodded his head and grew an even more of a distaste for this tribe. The fact that one ran, and got away without
being chased. That man ran away like a coward. He despised him for it ,but, he would chase this man. Wolf Killer quickly spoke to "Mauler Of Bears"
" Follow me, have everyone else raid this camp, and set up here for the night, set up the green smoke"
The green smoke was a special wood that created a greenish flame when burnt. It created a signal to other tribesmen to send reinforcements, or supplies to a newly captured land.
He quickly sprinted in the direction the man had pointed. He ran at a good pace looking for tracks? Chasing after the man, this Old member of the tribe forgot his training. Wolf killer noticed the broken branches and brush and followed. He ran into the deep woods keeping a good pace. He caught glimses of this escapy. He noticed his enemy slowing down. His buddy. seemed to run out of energy and slow down. Wolf killer would beat that man back to shape. He has great upper body but he doesnt run enough.

Just the Wolf Mother's presence was enough to send any wolf into hysteria of what they were actually seeing--or even hearing for that matter. The only thing that dafined her exsistence was the outline of a large wolf, shadowed in the blinding snow storm. The star like eyes were unblinking and her response was swift, almost as if she knew what he was going to ask before he had even thought it.

I come to you to offer what you wish. This curse you speak of can be broken if you allow it. I come to you with a chance to save yourself. What say you, Karitoko?

Now, the Wolf Mother was gone, he could sense this--a new presence stood in her place. The snow lifted, revealing no longer a large, god like wolf--but none other than Karitoko's mother. She was as beautiful as her memory, if not more so. She stood tall and proud, looking down at her son with eyes of pride and joy.

.....:::::|:::::.....

Wolf Killer could see the man, running into the thick of the forest. When he caught up to the man, he had ducked into a cave. Wolf Killer heard growling when he came closer and the golden eyes of a mother wolf shinned out in the shadows of the cave. The yips of pups could be heard and three tiny pups huddled beneath their mother for protection--eyes just starting to open. The mother was feirce and began to inch forwards, flashing her teeth and keeping her tail and ears arched high, displaying her vicious will to protect her young. She never moved to far away and she kept herself above her pups, making sure that she was covering them from the intruder. The man was no where to be found and Mauler was to far behind to know the direction in which Wolf Killer had gone.

Perched on a rock, overlooking the human and the mother wolf confrontation, was nothing. At first glance, the human would think he was being watched but would dismiss it as nothing more than primal instinct to look behind him. The Wolf Mother, Alara, stood eyeing the human, her own ears and tail lifted in anger. She couldn't directly interferre with his actions until he did anything to harm the mother wolf or her pups. Once he triggered the attack...she would be able to punish him in a suitable way. A calm wind blew and the Great Spirits were speaking to her, she listened while waiting for something to happen.

Karitoko paused at the words, this goddess spoke. ''This curse you speak of can be broken if you allow it...'' How could it be possible, if he allows it to be broken, what would it matter? It would always remain there, so why should he allow it just to be hurt again. He could not possibly not be saved, not as long as he feels responsible for those he loved, dieing.

'' How could I allow it to pass..''

Karitoko froze as he saw the familiar wolf, but how was it possible for his mother to return to the dead? Fear did not come upon him as he gazed at his once loved blood mother. Mother... How am I supposed to live like this? Everyone abandons me, all afraid to become attached to me.. Why did you leave me and not answer my calls?'' Karitoko yelled out, feeling so weak, so surprised. How was it possible that his mother was standing right there? Not so far away from him.

From between the mountains, Epsiba padded calmly into the forest. She put her nose to the air, searching for the scent of food. She'd found nothing outside of snow hare in the tundra and was unsatisfied. At her age, you didn't go chasing after six small hare when you could simply bring down a deer or carabu.

The wolf noticed there was something wrong in the air; the stillness was uncanny, and there were unfamiliar noises amidst the trees. Apparently, man was in the forest. The old wolf sprinted forward, until she came to within just a few yards of the men. Enormous, and already bearing a scar of battle down her underbelly, she stood out dangerously well against the leafy, forested backdrop.

She looked to the mother wolf for some kind of confirmation that she'd like help; more than once, Epsiba had assisted when apparently, there was "no need." The mother looked like she had a good head and didn't seem to be to concerned with self-help. Like she had experience.

Wolf Killer glanced into the cave, but he smirked with a grin that was nothing but pure evil.
This mother wolf had a wonderful coat on, something Wolf Killer would love to wear, and the pups they had even softer fur. He could get the pups fur and give it to some fine looking tribe lady, and he would be in for a hell of a night. He thought today would be

Wolf Killer brought up his large round bronze shield, and pulled his spear up, and heavily pulled his arm back with the spear near the center of his hand.
He threw the spear a little low of the golden eyes aiming for the chest of the wolf. The Spear spiraled in the wolfs direction. Wolf Killer happily brought his shield up after the spear left his hand, and pulled out a small yellow blade, a green tinted liquid dripped off it.
He quickly shifted his hip, to where his shield could be easily brought up for a hasty defense.

He laughed a sinister laugh, and felt as adrenline pumped through him. He loved the smell of wolf, that wonderous smell, he even grew accustom to eating the wolf meat, which was an acquired taste. He knew how to smoke it just right.

Epsiba let out a low growl, and leaped at the man with the sheild. She attempted to come from behind, as he seemed rather distracted by the mother wolf. The yellow knife that dripped was something a bit unfamiliar to her, but it smelled foul and she attempted to avoid it. She tried to get her massive jaws around his thigh, in hopes of bringing him down.

The Mother wolf leapt up at the man and bit down hard upon his sheild. Bronze was soft and it made in indent of the wolves theeth, the canines poking through. However, the mother's ferocity fell into silence, along with her body. The spear peirced her heart and she was killed instantly. Her body fell next to her pups, who coddled around their mother's fur, looking for warmth.

Alara now showed herself, the Great Spirits allowed her to step in, as the lives of the pups were in danger. The large, grizzly bear sized wolf, perfectly white with strange markings stepped from her perch into reality, where the human could see her. Her growl sounded like the growls of thousands of wolves with the anger of the earth and the ferocity of the wind. This beast was angry and she stepped with grace and pride towards the man. Her starry eyes turned blood red and it made Epsiba stop in her tracks at the sight of such rage. The Wolf Mother and the world around her were reacting to the fall of the mother wolf. The earth rumbled with her steps and the wind whipped around her, tossing her perfectly white fur in the gusts. The trees groaned and leaned away from her, fearing the Wolf Mothers wrath.

....:::::|:::::.....

"Mother... How am I supposed to live like this? Everyone abandons me, all afraid to become attached to me.. Why did you leave me and not answer my calls?''

Karitoko's mother shook her head, as if to say 'you allow them to'. She moved towards her son and her etheral body nudged against his, to comfort him. Then-she jumped down from the rocks, looking back up to him, expecting him to follow. She continued and kept looking back up at him. Her astral body glided across the snow, effortlessly moving over the deep snow.

Wolf Killer grinned at the sight of the wolf jumping at him, he saw as the spear went threw her, and he
laughed for a second, but that laugh was only to be interrupted for a sharp pain in his leg. He looked down to notice a wolf tearing at Wolf killers flesh. He saw a bit of blood coming out. He figured this wolf for a possible father to these pups. His right leg fell to his right nee, and his other leg kept him up.

Wolf Killer quickly threw his shield towards the huge wolf to his front, sort of like a frisbee. He hoped he would have time to maim this second wolf. He thought he might die this way, it has happened in a dream or 2, this would be a way for him to die, fighting to the death. He knew it would be hard trying to get back to camp, perhaps Mauler would help him back. He didnt give up hope on that chance that his friend would find him, but he realized the chances of his survival was slim.

He quickly sent a fist at the wolf who was locked in at his calves. He aimed for the right eye, and sent a quick jab at the wolves eye. And followed the fist with a swing of the dripping yellow human fang. He saw his muscles on his right calves they bled horribly. He managed to shake the pain off. B

If that got the wolf off him, he would try for his blade at the large wolf to his front. He felt a bit of a thrill, he realized his odd thrill of hunting wolves has come to the point where he would fail. It happened to many of his people, they found a thrill in
a certain enemy, such as bears, or people. Some went a little to far and it became the end of them.

The jab caused Epsiba to whine a little, and when she saw the blade come for her, she fish-tailed a few feet back. Her maw opened, and a low bellow rang from the depths of her chest. The scar on her underbelly burned with memories of a fight long since passed, and a new flame of anger and pride smoldered in it's place.

She lunged at the wolf-killer again, attempting to chew the nauseating blade from his hand. His flesh tasted excellent, rather lean by the standards of carabu, but still...tough and worth while. Her tail curled in anticipation as she glided about him.

"ENOUGH"

The voice was booming and sounded like screams of rage at the human, and loud rumbling thunder to Epsiba. Alara had the sheild in her maw, her teeth severing the metal as if they were made of stone. She simply opened her jaw and the sheild dropped to the rocks. The earth responded and a mouth made of stone swallowed the sheild and the earth returned to its lifeless state. Alara jumped down from her perch and marched her massive body towards the human. She barked at him...but she was speaking in his tounge.

"HOW DARE YOU RUIN THE BALANCE!"

To Epsiba, the Wolf Mother was speaking in tounges, a language she couldn't understand. However, it was very apparent that she was angry. A dark set of clouds blotted out the mid-day sky and the earth seemed to rumble as the thunder above them. It was threatening to rain and rain hard.

"The Great Spirits demand that you become what you have killed so passionately. From this day forwards, Wolf Killer, you are now know as BlackBlood. May my kin show mercy upon you."
