In April 1945, Soviet forces attacked the outskirts of Berlin. Hitler's followers urged him to flee to the mountains of Bavaria to make a last stand in the National Redoubt. But Hitler was determined to either live or die in the capital. On 22 April, during one of his last military conferences, Hitler interrupted the report to ask what had happened to General Steiner's offensive. There was a long silence. Then Hitler was told that the attack had never been launched, and that the withdrawal from Berlin of several units for Steiner's army, on Hitler's orders, had so weakened the front that the Russians had broken through into Berlin. This culminated in an oath to stay in Berlin, head up the defense of the city, and shoot himself at the end. On April 29th, many of his associates witnessed and signed this last will and testament of Adolf Hitler. On the 30th of April 1945, after intense street-to-street combat, when Soviet troops were within a block or two of the Reich Chancellery, Hitler committed suicide, shooting himself in the temple while simultaneously biting into a cyanide capsule. Hitler's body and that of Eva Braun were put in a bomb crater, doused in gasoline by SS aides, and set aflame as the Red Army advanced and shelling continued. On the 2nd of May, Berlin surrendered. In the postwar years there were conflicting reports about what happened to Hitler's remains. After the fall of the Soviet Union it was revealed from records in the Soviet archives that the bodies of Hitler, Eva Braun, and Hitler's dogs, were secretly buried in graves near Rathenow in Brandenburg.
But that wasn't the only thing the Soviets reported...
According to the reports, Alfred Ritscher led German expeditions to Antarctica between 1938 and 1949. According to the reports, the first German exploration started with a hot-air balloon in 1901. There, the Nazi parties had setup Neuschwabland, their post-war secret base for further experiments in the desolate cold regions of the earth. It was revealed in a half burned document that before Adolf Hitler had died, his doctors had collected samples of his DNA and shipped them to the Queen Maud region of Antarctica. There was a Nazi naval base at Lake Vostok, where supposedly there was warm brackish water in a cave providing haven for German U-boats. In 1945, the year Hitler died, U-530 carried boxes of religious relics to Neuschwabland during a top secret expedition codenamed Valkyrie-2. Soon afterwards, U-977 delivered DNA samples of Adolf Hitler under the command of Heinz Schaffer. Even in his death, Hitler would find life, as German doctors and scientists worked hard to clone him. But before they could finish building a new city, American troops swarmed the secret naval base and destroyed most of the research. Many U-boats fled the scene, but were captured or destroyed soon afterwards. The remaining Nazi diehards reported to medical basecamps in Brazil, where they surrendered to the American allies. The Battle of Antarctica was kept under wraps, and off the record. Nobody had any idea what kind of experiments the Nazi's were doing.
Until now...
The year is 2010, sixty years later...
WW2 is all but forgotten now, as humans go about living their daily lives. All the records of Neuschwabland have been destroyed, and the only mention of it comes from tales of UFO's and other myth hunter legends which most pass off as fairy tales. People are completely unaware that there are mutants running around, hybrids that are half-human and half-animal. It seems that the monsters of legend that we all come to know, were not merely children's stories, but actual creatures created by our own imaginations. This is the story of WW3.
The war of the species...
Here are the teams:
1.) Humans
2.) Vampires
3.) Werecats
4.) Werewolves
You can only pick one team or species. All mutants are half-human, and half-animal. That means that vampires are actually humans who have been either experimented on with bat DNA, or else they have been infected and mutated by other vampires. The same goes for werecats and werewolves in this story. The idea is similar to Blade or Underworld, except that now there are werecats instead of hybrids. Two species in this story cannot mix, as that would cause a failure in the DNA strands. All vampires are pure vampires, and all werewolves are purely werewolves, they cannot breed or mix with one another, and in fact, they are worst enemies. Werecats, likewise, are enemies of both vampires and werewolves. Humans are all by themselves, and can be infected, but once infected they cannot go back to being human. Other species may be added later, but right now let's stick with these. I haven't decided all of their strengths and weaknesses yet, because I'm waiting for more people to join first. If we get enough players, we'll probably add more species and come up with a more indepth story-line. Just let me know if you're interested so far. Just give a little post and tell me what species you're interested in, and any other ideas you may have for this story.
