Amanda screamed.

"Manda!" Dave shouted. He hammered on the door. "Joey! Joey, this isn't funny! Something's happening ... please, open the door! I'm not joking, I swear to God!"

He gripped Jess tighter and then started walking forwards, reaching out in front of him. "Manda! Where are you?"

Joey Caught Bella and frowned a little. That scream sounded pretty serious. Something was really wrong. He glanced nervously at Bella and Alex.
"should we open it?"

Bella held Joey, not holding herself up anymore, but because she was worried for her friend. "I think so." She said seriously, walking over to the door and trying to unlock it. "Umm...guys, it's stuck!" She said, starting to bite her lip.

Alex pushed her out of the way and tried opening it. "You're just weak!" He spat, but it still didn't open for him either.

"Yes! Open the door!" yelled Dave. "For God's sake, open it!" He yelled his girlfriend's name again.

Joey shoved Alex aside, panicking now. This was his fault, and something was seriously up. He tried pulling back the bolt, but it wouldn't budge.
"Is there another door in there Dave?" He yelled, trying not to sound as afraid as he was.

"We're trying. The lock is stuck!" Bella told them, so they knew they were trying. She was really starting to panic now and Alex wasn't helping them either. She tried helping Joey but nothing they tried was working.

"I have no idea if there's another door!" Dave shouted. "All I know is there's someone else in here, and I don't know where Amanda is. Just get the bolt open! Please!" He realized that the candle was just causing more problems; it wasn't doing enough to illuminate anything for him, but for the attacker it was making him clear in the darkness. He steeled himself and blew it out.

Joey tried again to force the door open, but realising that this was getting them nowhere he gave up.
"Dave, you'll have to find another way out. It won't open." He called, the panic rising further in his voice. This had just been a joke, but it had just turned relly serious. Amanda was missing and the others were trapped inside.

"Oh god Joey, what do we do? Maybe we can find something to break the lock?" Bella suggested, getting extremely worried and nervous. One of the group had gone missing, and the others were stuck inside with the person who had done the kidnapping. She was on the verge of freaking out and breaking down.

"Calm down, it's probably just them pulling a prank on us like someone had done on them." Alex said, turning on Joey. "Maybe if someone hadn't insisted on locking them in then this would have never happened." He stated, being mean to someone other than Bella for a change.

"There is no other way out!" Dave shouted, his voice filled with panic, but then he backed into the coal chute. His mouth went dry. Crawling up this would bring them out into the open, but he wouldn't leave Amanda. Besides, they might get stuck, or the chute might be too narrow, or the doors at the top might be bolted shut. He stood still, ears straining in the darkness for any noise.

Joey glared at Alex.
"Don't go blaming me, It was my idea, but you agreed to it!" He frowed a little on Dave's reply, thinking quickly.
"Alright, we'll try to find something to force it open with.."

"Guys, would you stop fighting now. 2 of our best friends are stuck in there and one has disappeared! We need to do something other than stand around and argue!" Bella said, almost in tears. She went over to a table and started to clear it off, thinking maybe they could ram the door with it, hoping it would budge.

Alex was so close to slapping Bella at the moment, but tried to control himself. He was getting angry with his group and as soon as their friends were safe he'd get away from them.

Dave could hear the others outside, but he kept silent. He didn't want the attacker to be able to locate him and Jess as well. The room was silent. Where was Amanda? His heart pounded hard in the darkness.

Jessica suddenly clung herself tightly to Dave, burying her face in his chest to quiet her sobs. She had been scared ever since the lights went out, which was why she was so quiet. But now, she was ready to pass out from the sheer terror. Her body shook as she held in the scream that threatened to spill from her lips.

Jess pulled back from Dave and looked towards the door, placing a hand on it. "Alex...Alex I'm so scared," she whimpered. Where was Amanda and who else could be in this house? The questions horrified Jess.

Dave held Jess tightly as she shook. "It's gonna be okay," he lied. He had no idea what would happen next. He just wanted to get out.

Alex was thinking this all just a big joke until her heard how horrified Jess was, that was when he got serious. He went over to the door and placed his hand on it. "Don't worry baby, I'm ganna get you out. Ok, it'll be ok." He turned to where Bella had just finished clearing the table, knowing he'd have to work with her for once. 'All for Jess' he told himself.

Also, Bella got more paniced hearing her best friend. "Ok, maybe if we ram this into the door it might budge it?" It didn't sound too good, but it was better than nothing, Bells figured.

Just hearing Alex's voice made her feel better. Just as long as he was there, everything was going to be alright. She turned to look up at Dave, squinting to make out his features. "Yeah, yeah. M-maybe Amanda is just messing with us?"

She knew as soon as the words came out of her mouth it was a lie. Amanda would have said something by now. But the lie was comforting anyways and she needed to calm herself down and not panic.

"Come on baby, keep talking to me." Alex said, not knowing what he would do if anything ever happened to Jess. "I'm not ganna lose you, let me know you're still there, and that you're alright." He was worried about his girl, and it showed with how serious he got now about getting them out.

Bella just rolled her eyes. It hurt thinking that he had once been like that with her, but she really didn't want to think about that right now, she never did. At the time, her only focus was getting her friends out of there and finding Amanda.

"Yeah, maybe," Dave replied, trying to put conviction in his voice to comfort Jess. But even as he said it, he knew it wasn't true. Amanda would have said something by now if there was nothing wrong, and she would never have carried on the joke if everyone was terrified. Even so, he didn't want to scare Jess.

Hearing Alex's voice, Dave leaned against the door. "Alex, please hurry up!" he said against the thick metal.
